We didn’t stay for the hotel but we went there for the dinner buffet. I booked nearly 3 months ahead as the day we went was the day I proposed to my girlfriend, and in need of a lovely dinner place at Snæfellsbær, which is extremely hard to find in that area! The dinner buffet is delicious and has generous choices, love the sashimi fish and the lamb the most! Thank you for the wonderful dinner!

I really enjoyed our stay! Mostly just the basics, but clean and comfortable. If you’re not used to the 24/7 light, we learned that if you tuck in the curtains to the window sill and put a chair and bag by the door it will get pretty dark. Breakfast and dinner buffets were expensive but awesome and well worth it! Tried so many new foods.

Satisfactory accommodation, home-made food and family run. Some refurbishment seems to have been done recently and it looks as if there has been some extension of the accommodation recently. We were in what looked like the older part of the guesthouse and facilities in our room were basic. The small en suite shower room appeared to have been updated recently. Bedroom furniture appeared fairly old. Beds were clean.

It's a strange place and the price does not fit the location. The hotel has a very strong camp/dorm vibe, seems rundown and is tackily furnished. The only good thing about the place is the view and dinner buffet, albeit delicious is also too expensive for what you're getting - like the rest of the hotel.

This is a really good hotel, about 2 hours from Reykjavik. It’s a perfect starting point for a Snæfellsnes tour. The hotel is a long, linear property with parking alongside the building. Really easy in/out with bags. Rooms comfortable and clean, with good light blocking curtains. Staff was excellent. Dinner was really really good but expensive. Breakfast was also good and included.

What a fabulous hotel! The rooms were a good size and comfortably furnished. It was a bonus to be able to control the heating in the bedroom and bathroom, not always the case in Iceland. I particularly enjoyed the buffet breakfasts and suppers. The food was varied, tasty and enjoyable. You could be as picky as you wanted, with plenty of new things to try as well as regular old favourites. And you could have as little or as much as you wanted. there were various rooms to enjoy a drink with friends too - I would be very happy to stay here again.

This hotel is showing its age and is in need of updates. I've used key cards for so long now that I struggled with the old fashioned metal room key here. The bathroom was small and did not even have space to put down a small toiletries bag. The hotel was loud in the early evening due to the arrival of guests from a large tour bus. The only option for dinner was the buffet, and it's expensive. There were plenty of options including fish and vegan items, but even though we arrived to eat just as it started the food was no longer hot. The beds were not uncomfortable. Consider other lodging options.

Just an utter gem of a hotel. Clean, comfortable, welcoming. Staff could not have been nicer. As others have said, it’s like visiting friends at their house. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. And if you’re lucky, an amazing balcony view of the northern lights. Stay here, you will not regret it.
