I had a wonderful night’s stay at Langaholt Hotel. The staff was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The hotel itself is spotless and comfortable, with a relaxing atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The food was amazing, served buffet-style with a perfect mix of local Icelandic dishes and international favorites. Do yourself a favor and stay here—you won’t regret it!

The wonders of Iceland. Had a great stay here - arrived late on a wet and windy night but the room soon warmed up and was nice and toasty. Lovely breakfast. Unfortunately I managed to leave my driving licence there but the wonderful Sumna got in contact after we had left and drove it personally to another hotel / going out of her way by some distance. What fantastic service is that !

I haven't had the chance to visit your accommodation yet, but I had some clients coming next month... until Play Air went bankrupt. This bankruptcy hurt my small business. I work alone, and you have alleviated my debt to the customer. Thank you for your empathy. I can't say the same about other hotels in Iceland. I would like to express my gratitude, I will always keep you in mind for future reservations, even for myself. You are wonderful people. Thank you so much.

Good Location near the beach and great views! The staff was challenging to locate for both check-in and check-out activities. I recognize that running a hotel is a busy career but it was rather strange to enter the kitchen to collect and return keys. The breakfast was nice but consisted of "cold" items and did not have the staples of a fried meat or egg dish. Would have been nice to have some warm of "hot" options too. The rooms are a tad outdated with cracked window panes and peeling paint. The washrooms are smallish and did not have the greatest water pressure or climate control. Beautiful golf course out back with amazing horse grounds as well. Sadly, that was not the focus of my stay.

The whole place is a mix of the golf course, the camping site, and the not so good looking hotel. When you enter you often have to go and find the receptionist in the dining area. The whole vibe is off, and the kitchen staff can be quite rude while taking out the food to the tables (they also like to wear T-shirts and trainers for work). The seal watching beach is really nice, just don’t expect the 3 km on good trails in 80 min what they say on the hotel website. It is rather 5 km and often there are no paths, expect climbing rocky shores, and at one place crossing a fence into private property.

This hotel was booked for us by the tour company and we didn’t check the reviews prior. The experience is very confusing. On the one hand, the renovated section of the hotel (left side) has all the potential to be a modern retreat in the beautiful nature setting. On the other hand, the design of the rooms, furnishings, bathroom and amenities is that of a cheap motel. I did not feel welcome there at all. |1) furniture is scratched and mismatched. I suggest to throw out all the dark obscure fake leather chairs and tables , and just put 2 clean chairs from IKEA- it will look much better ! |2) patio is a great idea, but no chairs to sit and enjoy the view|3) View is gorgeous, but windows are so dirty - it all looks foggy.. |4) bathroom had no shower get or conditioner, only shampoo. There was nowhere to put shampoo bottle or soap in the shower .. had to use the he lid of the toilet for that ..|5) sink is so tiny and has a tile shelf right above it- you can’t even get close to wash your face without making a watery mess on the floor.. Seriously- person who designed the bathroom , do they use one to know how it works ?|6) heater in the bathroom is a big plus|7) tall ceilings is nice|8) key locks even for the bathroom door is so outdated and inconvenient.. |9) slamming entrance door wakes people up if you checked in and unloading late .. |10) bed and bedding was comfortable .|No TV in the room.|Breakfast had nice options for food , but tables were not cleaned and were sticky. Staff at breakfast was very polite and friendly. ||Bottom line is: it’s ok for one night stay , we couldn’t get on the road fast enough to check out :)

Great location, you can walk to the ocean. Beautiful room with views of the mountains and ocean. Comfortable beds. Food was fresh with homemade breads. Breakfast was great.

It’s more of a guesthouse than a proper hotel. The rooms are ok:ish, but very over priced. The view is nice, but there is no ventilation so it’s super humid if it’s raining. The beds were comfortable, and the room was clean but the furniture was very outdated. The bathroom was small and outdated, water pressare was not great. Make sure you book the rooms in the new ving. Breakfast was ok, only cold selection and a boild egg. Be warned - the hotel is on the country side, hence there are no real choices for dinner. As a result hotel dinner buffet is extremely overpriced, and the quality is what you can expect from a buffet. Service was ok:ish, more on the laidback side. There is no competence to recommend activities, hiking trails etc at the reception. You need to google it or go to a visitors center ~ 20 km away to find out what to do in the area.
