Great hotel right in the centre of L'Aquila. Staff were all friendly and happy to help. Parking can be difficult though that is expected for L'Aquila. The dog (and owner) who looked after the reception through the night were always a plus to come back to.

Hotel L’Aquila seems like a good hotel at first glance. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated, the bathroom towels are high quality, and the wardrobe is actually a beautiful piece of antique furniture. The beds are comfortable, the staff is polite and friendly, and breakfast is good. The location is fantastic—right in the heart of town—you really can’t ask for better. But there’s one thing that ruined the entire experience for me: in the morning there’s no hot water. Maybe it’s because everyone’s showering at the same time, I don’t know, but having to start your day with a barely warm shower is a horrible way to begin. And unfortunately, that’s something I can’t overlook. Lastly, it's near impossible to sleep due to outside noise; it sounds like the whole of the city's nightlife happens around this hotel, till the early hours of the next day.

Beauty hotel, room, location, view and nice staff and owners. Amazing quality breakfast. A real 4 star hotel at an excellent price.

One of the worst experience in a hotel, everything was a mess starting with the fact that it's obvious the rooms are old and probably were never painted since they opened and also, first of all,the do not disturb button is there for a reason as don't disturb and don't enter the room that a person paid for, even if i left the room that doens't mean you can just go inside and clean(some people don't like other pleople touching their stuff, includind me)that's why i put up the DND button!! you people have no respect for that. Second of all,the mini bar is non-existent. They only have water, nothing else. A 4 star hotel without the basic stuff..Almost forgot, the carpet is absolutely filthy, stained with bleach, wine all kind of nasty stuff, probably have never been changed. Do not recommend!

Amazing place to stay at. From the minute we arrived the whole experience felt special; the rooms are spacious, quiet, clean and beautifully decorated with comfy beds. Breakfast was delicious and everything was smoothly run by the wonderfully warm and welcoming staff. I highly recommend it.

I stayed here for a week during a workshop and had a great experience. The location is perfect, right in the center of town. The room was very nice, good a/c and wifi, and the breakfast in the morning, while not fancy, was perfectly reasonable. Most importantly, the staff were amazing, always very friendly and went above and beyond to help me out when I needed it.

Worst service I have ever encountered On January 6 we booked a room through the hotel website for April 6-7, 2019. When we arrived on April 6 we were told there was no reservation, we showed our card charge (79€) but kept being told our reservation could not be found. Eventually we were told that we had booked a reservation for January 6, 2019 and had not checked in.)) We can imagine that we made a mistake in booking, although the hotel, by the way, made no attempt to contact us in any way when we in their opinion "didn't check in" in January. The hotel employee offered us to pay again for the room, but already 104 euros per day, which was extremely strange, as the situation is ambivalent and at such times you just want to see the service of the hotel and help in finding a compromise. We rarely book hotels not through booking, but this time we booked a room through the hotel's website, as in booking for the dates we needed were not open sales of rooms. It was a good lesson and from now on we will not do so, as when booking through booking it is simply impossible to book on the wrong dates, as there is always an opportunity to check everything in a personal account! Bottom line: the hotel wanted to squeeze maximum money out of the situation, but we were not ready for such an attitude and went to live in another hotel.

Great location right in the centre of town. The rooms need refreshing old bathrooms are not ok for 4* hotels. Breakfast is poor. Advice and assistance re parking hopeless. Some rooms are very noisy.
