We stayed at Las Brisas for four nights for a wedding.
Overall, the experience was very positive. The resort is large and amongst hills, so you have to take a shuttle from your room to pretty much anywhere, especially in the May heat!
The staff was very friendly, from the front desk to room service/housekeeping to restaurant staff.
The room was very comfortable and had a great view.
There are several restaurants to choose from. The buffet is accessible at all times, but you do need to make reservations for the more specialty restaurants. Highly recommend the Mexican restaurant! The location is beautiful and they serve really good local Oaxacan specialties.
One thing I wish was different: The pools were not ideal for "partying". There are three pools- one for kids with a basketball court, one "adults pool", which really seemed to be geared towards more elderly folks, as there was no music allowed. The other is a large pool with one shallow side being full of kids and where the entertainment staff does their stuff, mostly geared towards kids. The other side is deep, which could really use some handle bars to hold on to to lounge and not have to tread water, and more entrance/access points. Ideally, an adult pool with good music and a swim-up bar would be a game changer!
We had a great time!
