Great hotel fully deserving of four stars. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms very clean and well appointed. Great breakfast. Watch out for very generous measures of spirits!! Parking can be free if spaces found outside though it is 9 euro fro the hotel garage

Situated very close to one of the beaches, only 40 minutes from Santander or Bilbao. It takes about 15 minutes to walk into the town along the seafront paseo. We got given an upgraded room which gave us a lot more space and sea views. The bed was huge. Secure parking was available for €9 per night but spaces are limited. Check-in was quick and easy. |We had breakfast the first morning which was plentiful with lots of choice, but still a little over-priced at €16 per person. |The small bar is advertised as being open until 2300, but on our return to the hotel at about 2240 on the first night the staff were already clearing up and although we got served, they didn't seem that pleased to see us. There was nobody else in the bar.|Despite these slightly negative comments we would still stay there again.

Great hotel, perfectly located for exploring Castro Urdiales. Beds were comfortable, breakfast was nice and staff were friendly. Very clean hotel with garage parking available at additional cost. Stunning beach, beautiful marina and old town. Lots of gorgeous restaurants to choose from in the area. The walk along the promenade is really lovely.

The hotel is really nice. 1 minute away from the ocean, great staff and if you book early you will get a good price. The only thing they could improve is their breakfast choices.

Spotlessly clean and beautifully appointed hotel. Very tastefully decorated and close to the beach. 10-15min walk to the harbour and all the bars. The hotel is let down by its lack of double glazing and interior sound proofing. Spent most of the day listening to the neighbours dog barking and much of the night with a baby crying several rooms away. Bring ear plugs

Great hotel at the further end of the promenade to the town, good multilingual staff, breakfasts are excellent, seaview rooms are at a premium, you must book, don't just turn up on spec. If you have a nice motor then book the hotel garage parking when you book your room. A gentle stroll into town in one direction and in the other to a lovely park. All on a pretty promenade separated from traffic. There are also bars and cafes in 2 min stroll. Beach is sheltered to some extent and sandy, cleaned each morning. Nice place to stay for a few days or indeed an overnighter, but then you are unlikely to have time to explore.

Very nice hotel with spacious and clean rooms and an accommodating staff. Our room with a sea view was quite spectacular. We chose the hotel as a quiet stopover on arriving from Bilbao airport and driving west. And it was just that.

Excellent stay at this gem of a hotel. The staff were so helpful. We had a beautiful, large room on the 3rd floor with fabulous views over the sea. The room was spotlessly clean. Tea/ coffee and bottled water provided. Comfy beds and hotel was very quiet.|Breakfast was delicious, plenty of fresh fruit, yoghurt, pastries and a wonderful range of cheeses/ hams/ tortilla . This was a great place to stay in a lovely town, a perfect start to our Spanish holiday.|The car was kept safe in a underground car park. We really felt the management and staff were proud of this hotel and really took time and trouble to make sure we had a good stay.
