This is a three star hotel with one star prices. The staff are incredibly kind and helpful, the restaurant is great with traditional foods and fresh seafood, and the rooms are wonderful. There are toiletries, comfortable beds, clean, and large space for relaxing. There is hiking and beaches in the area with a little drive, but easy to get around. We would highly recommend staying here.

We enjoyed staying at this very traditional Spanish hotel. It has good car parking.||The staff were very helpful and friendly. ||Our room was very comfortable and had a terrace.||Restaurant was good , serving lunch and dinner. ||Breakfast was self service, it offered very good choices of savoury items , cheese, ham , fruit , cereal, yoghurt and breads plus sweet pastries.||There's a good bar where they serve food in the evenings.||||We would stay again. It was conveniently situated to visit many places in the area by car. Other guests we talked to said nearby buses and trains were good.

This is another place I just stopped without having a plan. The surroundings don't look very exciting, but the hotel is really good for the price. The rooms are pretty new, everything is well in order. AC works well, bedroom and bathroom are super clean. Staff in the hotel and the restaurant only speak Spanish, but are very friendly and helpful. The dinner in the restaurant was great. |Those who are sensitive to traffic noise should ask for a room in the back of the house. |Overall, I liked the stay and the down to earth non-fancy style of the place.

As two couples, we stayed here fro 4 nights in April, booked ahead one day only. The price was very reasonable and upon arrival we were impressed with the friendliness of the check-in lady and then the quality of the building and rooms. Very tastefully renovated, the building is in traditional Spanish style, with wood and stone everywhere.||||Our room - whilst not large - had a comfortable double bed and a balcony overlooking the busy road. There's a lot of bustle about Treto but this calms down quite quickly in the late evening to the extent that we didn't notice it when we bedded down. The bathroom is tiny! One needs to straddlew the toilet to be able to close the door but having said that, it was spotlessly clean down to the last detail, especially where the bathe meets the wall - always the best place to retain grime. The taps and fittings are of very good quality, again shining with cleanliness.||||Breakfast was included in our room rate and was of excellent quality with plenty of choice of fruits, meat, cheese, yoghurt, croissant, bread, jams, etc., etc.. ||||So in summary, for the price charged this place is hard to fault. Oh, by the way, we ate in the adjoining Las Ruedas restaurant which was also a joy - see my separate review of that.||||So, if you need to be near Santander or Laredo, don't waste your time looking elsewhere, use Hotel Las Ruedas!

We found this hotel on the web, searching for something within an easy drive from Santander ferry port. Despite its location on a roundabout, the hotel has considerable charm and has been very sensitively renovated. We had an excellent meal in the restaurant which serves traditional Cantabrian fare. All in all surprising value for money. Should we be in the area again we would definitely return to this hotel and restaurant.

Stayed here for one night travelling through. The hotel has been renovated to a very high standard, with marble, bedroom and bathroom very nice with tiles, lovely old building. Dining room still has old beams, happy to stay there any time.

The hotel is in the middle of the roundabout, so car traffic is more or less constant. The mattresses are probably of the worst quality foam, they have no resistance. The covers are multicolored, something that questions their cleanliness. ||The air conditioner did not cool, and also brought in the smell of restaurant trash into the room. We asked four times at the reception desk for them to fix the air conditioning and they did nothing. ||We could not sleep between the bad smell, the heat and the inability to open the window because of the traffic noise. ||When we decided to leave after only half of our stay, the girl at the reception insisted on charging the total amount of the stay and told us that we could not wait for more for a 1 star hotel. (I think this girl has a lot of nerve) I think the hotel is too expensive for what they offer, they should not charge more than 45 or 50 euros a night if the stay is going to be so mediocre. I really do not recommend it to anyone, it is extremely unpleasant, you are better off at a campsite, at least you know what you are getting into.

Hotel was very run down, even the front door looked as if it was about to drop off. This Hotel clearly caters for visiting workmen, and not really very good for tourists. the decor is very run down and we had large holes in the ceiling outside our hotel door. even in the breakfast room the paint was hanging from the ceiling. As to the free Breakfast it was very basic and rather unappetising with not much on offer, the fruit juice was disgusting as it was very warm and clearly had not been stored in a fridge. we ate in the hotel Restaurant ( its actually a local bar next door ) the first night and it was not very pleasant we ate out on the second night. In fact if we had booked for any longer then I would have checked out and found some else. ||I can only say that it would just be passable if it was a last minute stop over to tide you over. But I could not recommend this Hotel at all.
