Nice hotel for a one night stay at a cheap price. Kids get bunk beds only. Breakfast was good and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is about 20 minutes walk from the first cliff and shops. There's a bus stop right at the end of the driveway of the hotel, in case you don't want to walk. The train station is about a 30 minute walk, so you're better off taking a bus.

Really beautiful and magical place to stay in! I loved my Eiger view room so much the view was worth every penny to me honestly! Staff is very attentive and helpful. Breakfast was GREAT with local cheeses and milk, it filled me up until almost dinner time some days. I am already recommending this place to others in groups and social circles. My only feedback is that I wish the bathrooms offered a small curtain to cover the window that lets you see into the bathroom from the bedroom for some extra privacy if you’re not traveling with a partner. Another thing was maybe add a foam topper to the mattress to make it a little bit softer! But overall no complaints really I hope I can come back again soon one day!

A 2-star hotel that feels like a 3+ star hotel! The only thing that gave it way was the bathroom glass sliding door. It can lead your relationship to new levels of intimacy. Joking aside, the staff was extremely helpful and nice, even friendly. The breakfast was more than the standard. The views were amazing, the rooms are clean and modern. I appreciated the goodnight box with earplugs and night masks. One thing that I kind of missed was an in-hotel restaurant. The hotel is a little higher than the busy city centre and the busses run until 19:00. If I had the choice to eat at the hotel, I would. After a long day of hiking, I dreaded the way up after eating at a restaurant in the town. Would visit again, though.

Nestled away from the relentless pace of urban life, the hotel provided a tranquil sanctuary. The courtyard offered vistas that were nothing short of breathtaking, serving as a constant reminder of the natural beauty surrounding us. The rooms, warmed to perfection, offered a cozy retreat from the chill of the outdoors. The accommodation, with its charming chalet style, was a refreshing departure from the typical city hotel aesthetic. This unique touch added an extra layer of enjoyment to our stay. The breakfast experience was exceptional, not only for the culinary delights on offer but also for the relaxed, uncrowded atmosphere. A noteworthy convenience was the presence of a lift, which greatly eased the task of transporting our luggage. All in all, the hotel’s thoughtful amenities and serene location made our stay a truly memorable one.

The hotel is quite far away from the train station and the bus that connects the two spots passes every 30 min, with last bus passing at 18:40h. If you fail to take the bus you will have to walk uphill for +30 minutes. On the bright side the breakfast is included, but it's not anything outside this world. The views are also nice, but you can have similar views near the train station. The conclusion is that it is not worth booking if you're planning to use public transport, as you will always be limited by the bus timetable (last bus at 18:40h). As a sidenote, we had a problem with management because we forgot to checkout on time. We only got notified once via email. Instead of trying to be understanding, even when the delay did NOT mean any person would be left without their room, the receptionist INSISTED on charging a FULL NIGHT as penalty - which was very rude... Specially because it is quite pricey... Hope this helps

Thanks for the stay. My partner and I visited Grindelwald for 3 nights and chose the Lauberhorn hotel. The hotel is very clean and easily accessible with adequate parking. The owners are very friendly and very helpful. We would stay here again, make sure you book direct with them as you save more than booking with a large search engine. You can book/pay for trips to first from here and even paragliding. If we had more time, I would have done the paragliding. Maybe next time, I'll have to I would recommend it here for sure .

What can i say about this place? We are staying in the 3rd floor loft and its just beautiful. Hardwood ceilings and floors. great decor. couch with chaise. A bench style dinner table that can easily seat 6 people. 2 bathrooms. 1 bedroom and kind of a studio upstairs. We are celebrating our 30th anniversary so it's just the 2 of us. We had a couple of options, but from the pictures i fell in love with this unit. Yes the price can be higher than others, but this is like a condo unit. A couple things of note: first, it's at the top of the hill and its a decent hill. Probably a mile or so up from train station. If you are out of shape (like me) i would never want to miss the last bus. We were told it leaves for the last round at 6:44pm. For many this wouldn't be an issue. Second, you have a set of stairs that are beautifully constructed. There is no handrail and they are a little steep. Again, for many this will not be an issue. But if you have a bad back, are out of shape, etc. and you have bags to lug up this can be a challenge. I don't know if i fully grasped this when i was looking at this unit. It just an amazing unit and i am glad i didn't grasp those potential issues. I would have missed out on having my mind blown. I do wish there was a little stool or something in the downstairs shower to put my foot on for easier scrub downs. The owners and staff have been wonderful. Great suggestions, friendly and pleasant. I would love to stay here again. We have been forever changed!!

A two star hotel with one star service. If you are looking for just a two star place to stay and find a cheap rate go for it but if you want any advise/ suggestions or service better look elsewhere. The lady at the front desk(the owner probably) looks like she’s been doing this for way too long and seems uninterested in anything else than giving you the keys and the rules. In breakfast they even have a sign in every possible lenguage that if you take anything from the buffet(even an apple) they will charge you. An Asian guy try to open the window and they shouted to him to close it immediately, did not understand why but again seems that service is not their strong point
