Really beautiful and magical place to stay in! I loved my Eiger view room so much the view was worth every penny to me honestly! Staff is very attentive and helpful. Breakfast was GREAT with local cheeses and milk, it filled me up until almost dinner time some days. I am already recommending this place to others in groups and social circles. My only feedback is that I wish the bathrooms offered a small curtain to cover the window that lets you see into the bathroom from the bedroom for some extra privacy if you’re not traveling with a partner. Another thing was maybe add a foam topper to the mattress to make it a little bit softer! But overall no complaints really I hope I can come back again soon one day!

What can i say about this place? We are staying in the 3rd floor loft and its just beautiful. Hardwood ceilings and floors. great decor. couch with chaise. A bench style dinner table that can easily seat 6 people. 2 bathrooms. 1 bedroom and kind of a studio upstairs. We are celebrating our 30th anniversary so it's just the 2 of us. We had a couple of options, but from the pictures i fell in love with this unit. Yes the price can be higher than others, but this is like a condo unit. A couple things of note: first, it's at the top of the hill and its a decent hill. Probably a mile or so up from train station. If you are out of shape (like me) i would never want to miss the last bus. We were told it leaves for the last round at 6:44pm. For many this wouldn't be an issue. Second, you have a set of stairs that are beautifully constructed. There is no handrail and they are a little steep. Again, for many this will not be an issue. But if you have a bad back, are out of shape, etc. and you have bags to lug up this can be a challenge. I don't know if i fully grasped this when i was looking at this unit. It just an amazing unit and i am glad i didn't grasp those potential issues. I would have missed out on having my mind blown. I do wish there was a little stool or something in the downstairs shower to put my foot on for easier scrub downs. The owners and staff have been wonderful. Great suggestions, friendly and pleasant. I would love to stay here again. We have been forever changed!!

This was our 4th stay at this hotel. I have been on a ski trip 3 times and was here with friends once in Summer. It is a great place to be when you are visiting Grindelwald for skiing or summer. |* First of all I would like to mention the owners Beni and Conny, are amazing people. Friendly and are able to help you out with all the advice about ski slopes and also hiking trails. If you want to head out into mountains, they are best people to get advice in the morning. You won't get this in big hotels. |* There is a bus stop right next to the hotel. |* It is only 10-15 minute walk to the town so nice to walk in the evening for dinner|* Nice and quiet location far from crowded town centre|* Great views from rooms towards Eiger||Surely our go-to place every time we are in Grindelwald. ||TIP : |1. Make sure you book restaurants atleast one day in advance, everything gets busy in evening. |2. Get your ski passes right from hotel reception to avoid queues at the lifts|3. Avoid "Onkel Tom" Pizzeria unless you want to wait till death.

Had a very pleasant stay here. The rooms are very chic, small but it has everything you need. And if you get a room that overlooks the mountains, you have an awesome view always.

Left this great guest house today having spent the last 3 nights here.||The hotel is spotlessly clean, with a big comfy bed and a spacious room. Small en-suite in the room with a sliding glass door and small privacy panel.||The views from the room are breathtaking and you couldn’t feel any closer to the mountains.||10 mins walk into town but a bus stop directly outside the hotel - use of the us is free with your guest card.||Towels supplied and hairdryer is good handheld dryer.||Continental breakfast and the breakfast room is great with a good selection of choices.||Car park outside the hotel at a small charge with plenty of spaces.||Connie and Benny were lovely and welcoming and gave us some great recommendations

Hello fellow travelers, I stayed there with my family on September 2023 for our first ever European vacation. I usually don’t write reviews but still wrote this one because they treated us horribly and it has bothered me for so long, that I feel, I won’t have peace until I write this Good - Clean - Food good - Very good tea - Excellent views Bad - They have a rule of no showering after 7 PM, on our first night, we forgot the rule. Understandably, our unintentional mistake.
The owner, came knocking at our door, behaving, agitated and frustrated( which we let slide by because multiple guests had called him) imploring us to stop the bath, which we did immediately . However, he could have behaved more professionally given we couldn’t have been the first one to do so - However, the highlight was tomorrow morning, when I and our family were having our breakfast. And this rude and unprofessional owner came to our table and STARTED LECTURING US IN A LOUD VOICE ON HOW WE SHOULD NOT HAVE SHOWERED, AND HOW WE SHOULD ABIDE BY THE RULES, CONTINUING ON AND ON. We had apologized and we immediately corrected our mistake the first night and did not repeat it again.
BUT THIS MAN DISPLAYED SUCH DISGUSTING, PATRONIZING AND HORRIBLE BEHAVIOR TOWARD US, LECTURING US AS IF WE WERE SCHOOL CHILDREN IN FRONT OF THE WHOLE HOTEL GUESTS. THIS WAS VERY INAPPROPRIATE AND EMBARRASSING FOR US .WE DID NOT DESERVE THAT. He did not even apologize when we went to talk about us later in more privacy. - I am sharing this detail, so future travelers will not have to suffer like us. Because it has already been half a year and I still get angry whenever I think about it because this was injustice - On a side-note, I do think there was an element of racism. throughout our three days of stay, he and his wife were chatting with only white travelers while they were having breakfast and asking if they were having good time . Whereas they totally ignored us(Asian) and other Asian guest as well - All in all, this behavior very negatively affected us for the rest of our trip. I wish you no success or good wishes in the future, Mr. owner, whatever your name is. Your karma will pay for itself , I am certain - And before you write, there is no hotel reservation under this name, which is your defense against every negative hotel reviews, the hotel was reserved under my sister name.

The hotel is good, but unfortunately the employee treated me very badly and was completely disrespectful. When I left, I was only half an hour late and he asked me for 30 francs. He knocked on the door more than 10 times and forcefully.

The receptionist was an excellent woman, but the receptionist was a man whose behavior during the checkout procedures was poor. His services in hotels were very few.
