Several great things about this hotel. -Train station shuttle was a brilliant feature. -Lobby and rooms are clean, fresh and new. -Restaurants are nice, a little bit pricey for what they are though. The service was good. -rooftop pool was lush, the view is beautiful and the spa was brand new. -I’ve marked the service down due to having ordered a cocktail which never came. We finished a whole card game and realised it was probably never coming, so we retired to our room.

Unfortunately, our stay is very disappointing due to poor organization and service. Upon arrival, the room was clearly not prepared for check-in. Basic amenities were missing. Although the room included a kitchen, there were no frying pans or pots at all. When we asked the reception to provide them, it took several days. First, we were told that the dishes were being washed, then that they had already been sent to our room — but nothing arrived. On the second day, after I expressed my frustration, we were told that everyone was on a lunch break and there was no one available to bring them. Because of this, I missed a day of skiing while waiting with no clear explanation or solution. Another issue was ironing. I asked the reception for an iron, but they told me to leave my clothes with them and they would iron them. When I asked how much time in advance I should request this, I was assured that 30 minutes would be enough. In reality, I waited the entire day, and only in the evening — after a serious argument — I finally got my trousers back. We also ordered food to the room and waited one and a half hours. Eventually, we were told that a new employee had mistakenly delivered our order to another room. The only positive aspect of this hotel is its location — the ski lift is within walking distance. Unfortunately, this was not enough to compensate for the lack of basic service and organization.

Exceptionally kind and attentive staff, always ready to help with a smile. They went above and beyond to accommodate every request. Spotlessly clean rooms and public areas. Everything felt fresh, well maintained, and comfortable. Spacious, beautifully decorated, and well-equipped rooms. Delicious and varied breakfast with high-quality ingredients. Lovely dining areas with great ambiance and great different and delicious options. Highly recommend it! Every time we go to St. Moritz, this is our place.

We were there during its soft opening, with renovations still taking place. It’s a good hotel with some room for improvement. The rooms are comfortable without being luxurious. The free shuttle to and from the bahnhof is a welcome amenity

This hotel has nothing to do with Swiss quality or standard. Service is extremely slow across all restaurants — staff barely acknowledge you, food takes forever, and yet prices are far from cheap. We can accept high prices, but not this level of service. Rooms are very small, beds uncomfortable. During lunch, a bug was crawling on a fresh plate from buffet ; when we handed it to the waiter, there was no apology — the plate was taken away in silence. Do not expect service here. This should not be rated as a four-star hotel. If you’re here for skiing, be ready to carry your skis a long way to reach the lift. Overall — absolutely not recommended. During our stay, the hotel randomly charged a dinner bill of over 200 CHF from another guest to our room. If we hadn’t clearly remembered paying by credit card, we would never have discovered such a careless mistake. It took over an hour and three different front desk staff to finally admit the error — only because they couldn’t show a receipt with my signature. No apology. No professionalism. Refund still hasn’t arrived. For a hotel , such chaos in management is honestly unbelievable. If you ever stay here, check every line on your bill, or you might end up paying for someone else. For a hotel, the most disappointing thing is not the error — it is the attitude.

Google
A thoroughly modern hotel which is still under constuction in parts but that does not affect anything. The rooms are neat and tidy, with plenty of space and reasonabky appointed. View from the rear shows mountains and very little light escapes so stars are visible. The hotel has six restaurants within with a good variety. Excellent breakfast spread.

Hotel Laudinella, St. Moritz — serious management failures, rooms and facilities not ready We arrived at Hotel Laudinella around 16:15. Our booking was made via Railtour (agency) as we were traveling with the Glacier Express. We were traveling as a group, and the agency booked three rooms in total: one room for two adults (another family), and two rooms for us as one family (two adults and two children, ages 5 and 9). At check-in, we were informed that the two rooms assigned to our family were separated. We immediately raised the issue. When two rooms are assigned to the same family with young children, those rooms must be connected so the family can stay together; failing to do this is a clear management and room-allocation failure. The staff said it was not possible to change this, but that they would try to find a solution and asked us to wait. After waiting about 30 minutes, we were given the keys. When we entered the first room, no extra bed had been prepared for the children. We noticed a connecting door and believed it was for our family. When we opened it, we found another family inside their room. This means the hotel had not checked or secured the connecting door, which is a serious privacy and safety issue. Guests should be aware and check connecting doors themselves, as this was clearly not controlled by management. I went back to reception and explained the situation. The staff appeared surprised and tried again to fix the problem. Speaking with two people at reception, they suggested a “solution” that would separate us further (for example, one adult staying alone). This was immediately refused. We were on a family holiday, and separating parents from young children is unacceptable. We were then asked to wait again. During this waiting time, a staff member invited our children to the kids club, saying it had opened that same day. When we checked the kids club, it was clearly unfinished and unsafe: materials still wrapped in plastic, visible screws, a step stool left on the floor, and toys/equipment not properly set up. The concept looks good, but inviting children into such a space is irresponsible and dangerous. We continued waiting and waited almost two additional hours, repeatedly asking for updates. We also had a restaurant reservation, which added pressure. Eventually, they gave us a key for another room so we could at least bring our luggage and go to dinner. Before entering the second room, we had already accepted a compromise: one extra bed for our 9-year-old, while our 5-year-old would sleep with us. When we entered the second room, the situation was still not resolved: • No extra bed, again • Another connecting door, again not properly closed The room clearly felt like it had been turned over very quickly after renovation. While surface cleaning was acceptable, the floors were poorly cleaned, and the intense smell of fresh wood and chemicals was overwhelming and uncomfortable, especially with children. We were exhausted and stopped going back to reception. Later that night, at 22:50, we contacted reception to ask for water, as none had been placed in the room. We waited an unacceptable amount of time, and the water finally arrived around 23:30. The only real positive of our stay was breakfast: very good quality, a large variety of fresh food, and kind, professional staff. At checkout, we were honest about our experience. To be clear, the front-desk staff were polite and trying to help. However, these issues clearly point to serious management and operational failures. In our opinion, the rooms and facilities were not ready for guests, and this hotel is not suitable for families in its current state.

We had a lovely stay. Very comfortable room, friendly, helpful staff and the food was excellent. We ate in the Stuva restaurant in the hotel . The buffet food was very good and we had the a la carte menu on our last day which was excellent. The staff take real pride in the food they prepare and serve. The hotel offers a free shuttle service to and from the railway station. We took advantage of the free travel pass on buses and mountain trains and cable cars . There are bus stops close and the Signal cable car and we were able to walk in and explore the fantastic scenery in this area.

Yelp
This hotel was the worst one we've ever stayed in during our two week European vacation!! We arranged for an upgrade from the standard room we were to have with the Globus tour and this room was SO SMALL that our luggage barely fit in the room!! Would NOT recommend to anyone! Think this hotel is more suited for snow ski clients!! And where the front desk is situated allows staff voice noise to echo up the open stairs to the room

Yelp
Great breakfast, not as great beds My wife and I recently were on a tour and we stayed at Hotel Laudinella while in St. Moritz. The scenery alone was incredible. The food we ate at the hotel - both dinner and breakfast - were wonderful as well. We enjoyed all of the bread choices, the fruit choices, the breakfast meat choices. Mmmm. So good indeed. One of the nice treats of this trip was being able to sample foods, including breads and cheeses, that we simply do not have back at home in the States. While at Hotel Laudinella, my wife and I found that we simply loved the cheese that was made locally in the Engadine valley region. It was delicious. The room itself was nice, but so was the shower. I try not to be critical in my reviews, but unfortunately, the only sore point we had was the bed. There was basically only one small mattress on some plywood. Another issue, which I found more and more in this part of Europe, was that there was no thermostat in the room. As spoiled Americans, we need to be able to adjust the temperature at night - even if we can cool it off by simply opening the door. As a result, we ended up roasting at night in very hot temperatures. I got up more than once to open the window to let the cool air inside; thankfully, it did manage to get down to zero degrees Celsius the night we were there, so we did get cool. In spite of the room, we all enjoyed our stay there and would recommend it, if only for the breakfast. Be sure to consider the Hotel Laudinella if you are visiting St. Moritz, or only passing through. (TIP - try to get a room with a comfortable mattress.)

Yelp
Globus checked us in at this hotel on Monday, August 8, 2022, which was part of our European tour. Upon walking into our room it was hot and humid. I called the front desk and was informed that the hotel didn't have air conditioning. The gentleman apologized and he said that he would send a ventilator asap. An hour later and still no ventilator and fan. I called and the lady at the front desk answered and was told that there was no fan available. She said that she would send a maintenance supervisor to check the thermostat and advised me to open the window. I told her I opened the window but there were flies so I closed it. She reiterated that it would get cold at night and the flies would go away. This was not the answer I was expecting. I waited for another hour and there was no maintenance supervisor that showed up. I came up to the front desk and asked to speak to a manager. I was told there was no manager on duty. The gentleman offered to assist and I explained to him the situation. He apologized and told me that no maintenance crew would come over to adjust the thermostat because there was none in the room. I suggested if I could buy a fan nearby and he responded, "You can take the bus and buy it yourself! We do not provide shuttle!" I then asked him why there was no AC system. The other woman answered with sarcasm and said, "We live high in a mountain and it gets cold at night AC is not required here! All of our neighbors here at St. Moritz do not use AC. I responded, "This is very inconvenient especially to your guests let alone you don't even have a fan to give. How are we going to sleep?" She said in a loud tone of voice, "AC is regulated by the Swiss government and none in the neighborhood uses AC." I said, "Look lady this is our first time in Switzerland and we are here to have a great time. I am not here to argue with all of you." The other gentleman said, "I was born and raised in this country and the weather here is nice. You can open your window and close the drape so the flies would not come in." I said, "What is your name?" He said quite reluctantly, "Gomez!" This hotel doesn't even deserve to get a star for bad customer service. The staff was very rude and unprofessional. You never argue with your customers. I do not recommend Laudinella Hotel in St. Moritz.

Yelp
The food is brutally bland. The service is slow. Though to be fair we were there on a busy night. The wine selection is good, but remember St. Moritz prices. It's not fancy though. It's quite loud, full of families and college students on holiday. For the price I would at least expect the ambiance to be nicer. You're literally eating at a pizzeria in the basement of a hotel. Do yourself a favor and skip this place.
