Hotel Lauterbad

The hotel is very lovely in a very beautiful area, the service is excellent, my room was beautiful, clean and the view was gorgeous, the staff was very kind. I loved the variety and the quality of food for breakfast. There are a few things that I didn't like: my sleep was very poor due to the lack of a blanket that covers the whole bed (you can have only single blankets and you get uncovered at every minimum moves), the lack of air conditioner (my room was pretty hot at night) and the lack of a mosquito net (if you leave the window open to refresh the room a lot of insects get in)

We were recently fortunate enough to stay at the Lauterbad Wellnesshotel and it was an incomparable experience. Set in the serene beauty of the Black Forest, this hotel offers the perfect combination of luxury and the tranquillity of nature. From the moment our family arrived, the hotel staff made me feel exceptionally welcome. Their warm hospitality and attention to detail set the tone for a wonderful holiday. The elegantly decorated rooms and the surrounding forest landscape are simply gorgeous! The spa areas, saunas, indoor and outdoor pools are immaculate and the relaxation areas - with water mattresses, ute fireplace and tea room - are wonderfully relaxing. A special thanks to the chefs - deliciously creative), but we sometimes skipped dessert because the menu is quite hearty. What really distinguishes Lauterbad Wellnesshotel is the thoughtfulness of every detail, including the opportunity to spend an evening by the fireplace, courtesy and communication with customers all this provides a holistic experience. This is the place to rejuvenate. I wholeheartedly recommend Lauterbad Wellnesshotel to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday in nature. It is a place I want to return to. Thank you!

I showed up without prior booking, as I noticed on the Booking.com app that they still had availability. I prefer, when possible, to book directly through the hotel to support the hotel and not the “middle man”. However, upon arrival, the hotel wanted to charged me €35 more than the price on Booking, saying “I must’ve seen a different hotel”. I did not, but was too tired to care about the extra charge. Overall, this left a bit of a sour taste. The hotel is fine, but honestly worth what I had seen it advertised for, not more than that🤷‍♂️ - The room was too hot and there’s no airco. It was only low 20C, not that hot hot yet. - Food is pretty tasty and the restaurant staff was friendly, but I wouldn’t go for the menu again - just order order a la carte. -Gym is fine, but lacking free weights (there are only 3 pairs of weights) -Spa/sauna I’m sure is nice, but because of the restrictive opening hours, I didn’t make it All in all, rigidness of staff and policy hold this hotel and restaurant back

We stayed at the Hotel Lauterbad for three nights between Christmas and New Years Eve. The hotel is situated a 20 min walk away from Freudenstadt, a typical Schwarzwald-like town.||||The rooms are Ok in size and very clean, bathroom was ok as well. The downside to the rooms is the total lack of personality. You could be in any chain hotel in the world, as they have modern Ikea-style furniture. There was a very strong smell from the new wooden floor.||||The wellness is the major attraction of this hotel and it is stunning indeed. It is huge for the number of rooms with a few saunas/hammas and two pools, one of which is partially inside and outside. Very clean and the staff was attentive.||||The restaurant and the dinner however were not what we exepected, especially for the price you pay. There were 5 courses per night, everything freshly cooked but without any originality. Schwarzwald claims itself to be a producer of great food (and they are absolutely right), but this hotel doesn't seem to use any local products. Wine/drinks selection was OK and priced right to my opinion.||||The staff was friendly overall but the owners added to the general impression of lack of personaliy and charisma of the entire establishment. Even though the female owner came to greet us at our table the first night, the only thing she told us was to observe the prohibition of reserving relax-seats in the spa. Wow!||||They charged 45 EUR per person and stay for special christmas-"entertainement". This consisted of a person playing the piano one night and a a capella group that sang 10 songs the other night. ||||There are better hotels in the Schwarzwald region, we will not go back to this one.

We stayed only one night, but we can enjoy the swimming pool and the spa.Very good. We had a studio, very nice, very quiet, the furniture very elegant and modern and a lot of place.||The staff was very friendly. The buffet for breakfast and lunch was very stylish, my son like it, we too. The restaurant was nice, the only disturbing fact was, that the smoking room is only seperate through a door from the diningroom. During the diner was no smoker inside, but during breakfast you can smell the smoke, if your place is near the door, we had to change our place during breakfast. I don`t like this. The new place was not so good, that the place we had.It is a pitty, because the smoking room has a wonderful view and nice furniture, but you can only use it, if you like smoke. If the owner familiy will change this, it will be really a great place for relaxing in wonderful nature.

A really nice and elegant hotel in Lauterbad. It offers you everything you need there and everything is really clean and pretty. The wellness service is incredible, relax rooms, saunas, inside and outside pool, massage services, everything you want for a perfect holiday away from the city. It can be found surrounded by the forest and the views are stunning. I recommend this place with all of my heart.

We travelled to this hotel for a short break over the early May bank holiday. ||||We arrived for the gala dinner on Saturday and the lady who owns the hotel asked us if there was anything that we did not like on the menu. This was fortunate as we don't like duck and she changed it to veal. ||||All the food we ate whilst at the hotel was delicious and plentiful. They even took the trouble to translate the menu into English. ||||The spa was above our expectations with nice snacks served at lunchtime and lots of quiet areas to read. There's even a huge, dark room with beds where you can have a snooze!||||The room we had was very clean and spacious. We would have liked a bath as well as a shower but it was no big deal for a weekend break.||||The town is well worth a visit as well as it's very attractive.

Looking for a place to stay the night on our trip through the Black Forest in October 2015 we ran into Hotel Lauterbad. They had only a suite available, which was really huge for the two of us but it would have been perfect if we had been with our kids. Enormous living-room with chimney, ample balcony to the garden, one king-size bedroom and 1.5 bathrooms. Bathrobes and everything needed for relaxing in the spa facilites was provided.||The spa consisted of an indoor and an outdoor/indoor swimming pools and several relaxing areas. Unfortunately the weather was somewhat cold to swim outside and the indoor pool was a little cool for me... there is a large relaxing room with sun chairs connecting both pools, several types of sauna, and a more exclusive relaxing zone.||This place is probably paradise to spa-lovers.||The hotel is located in the woods, with wonderful views, so you can do some relaxing excercise as well.||We had a tasty German dinner at the hotel restaurant, and in the morning, the rate included a very complete buffet breakfast.||The premises were clean, front desk was efficient and kind. ||Our stay was too short to really enjoy all the place has to give. Would definitely recommend it if looking for a place to relax a few days.

Not a negative word about this beautiful establishment. Wonderfully clean and pretty bar and restaurant overlooking a really nice outdoor patio (too cold to sit outside) Our coffee and cake were delicious and service was impeccable. Friendly and immediate greeting when we walked in.
