We just finished 6 day stay at this hotel so let me start with positives. Staff is wonderful, everybody that we came into contact at the front desk, store, luggage hold or restaurant was extremely nice, kind, professional and helpful. We got a room with great view and even late check out. Ladies at the lobby restaurant are working hard and are all amazing at managing crowds and keeping everyone happy. Beds are comfy ( wish there was a blanket in the closet), towels are clean and housekeeping overall did good job cleaning our room daily. I chose this hotel specifically because it has a gym. Unfortunately both treadmills are broken and even the only stationary bike stopped working. Elliptical machine is making weird noises too so probably wont last either. I witnessed numerous people coming to the gym and leaving disappointed. I mentioned it to few people at the front desk but nothing got done.Just like everybody mentioned this property is a glorified Motel 6, very run down, loose outlets, weak internet, soap dispenser kept coming unglued, phone in our room was not working when I tried calling front desk, dust under the gym equipment was awful, room keys get demagnetized easily . A lot of people stay here so be ready for long elevator lines.when you turn on the heat in your room it generates very dry air and tons of dust so eventually we all started coughing and my husband got sick. Not sure how often filters are changed. It is disappointing to see such a busy hotel that clearly makes a lot of money be so poorly maintained. I would not recommend staying here. Take your money and support bed& breakfast down the street.

This hotel definitely relies on location as the main selling point, which is indeed conveniently located and picturesque, but the building itself is quite dated and in need of a deep-clean. Upon arrival, the room we were given hadn't been cleaned after the previous guests. Front desk was very apologetic though, and quickly assigned us a new room. This new room had not been cleaned very well, and this is not just a case of me being picky; I've worked in housekeeping and this level of grime (see photos) would not have been acceptable at the hotels I worked at. There was garbage lodged in the sink drain, and one of the soap dispensers was broken. These sort of issues, as well as uncleaned rooms being listed as available, should be noticed by housekeepers during cleanings and by head-housekeepers doing floor checks.

The hotel location is really good, closed to main attraction. The room style and furniture quite antique but still function. The bathroom, towel and sofa had some permanent stain, that was not affect their function. The staffs were nice and helpful. Overall, good for stay but not that worth for the money we paid.

The main thing that happened to us is that our heater stopped working while it was -12 outside. We reported about it and the technician installed another one quite quickly. The problem that that one stopped working also somewhere in the night because the next morning we woke up because of freezing cold in the room. The same morning I told the receptionist about it and left the room for nearly a whole day. When I came back in the evening nothing was done, it was cold in the room and I needed to go downstairs and ask to replace it again. That time they replaced it and we finally had normal temperature in the room. Besides that I had some more things I didn't like. The elevator waiting time sometimes was too long. The sauna is separate for males and females which makes it useless for me with my girlfriend. Taking into account this was our Christmas trip I think I could have better service choosing another hotel. That was quite disappointing experience.

If "dont knock it till you try it" was a hotel, this would be it. Based on all the reviews, you'd really think this place was falling apart. Rightfully, those persons who experienced those negative reviews had all right to post it, however, as a piece of advice. Always bring up the issues you read about and ensure that the staff are aware of your knowledge of it so they can give you the best. That's exactly what we did (a family that had three separate rooms). we got all three rooms on the same floor (12th), and two were even joining rooms, so that was great. The views of downtown Quebec and seeing the plains of Abraham, especially covered in snow, made it an even more breathtaking view. The location for walking is amazing, the rooms were huge and had everything you would need for a short or long stay (ours was 4 nights). They offer paid self parking that's three underground floors with a direct elevator access into the hotel for $25CAD a night or valet for $28CAD a night. They have 2 restaurants on sight and both offer very competitive prices than the restaurants on the outside. They were about 15 to 20 minutes to old Quebec City, which is amazing! Claude in the valet department was really pleasant, and I'm sorry that I didn't get the names of everyone else because everyone I met or had interactions with from the hotel were amazing. Noteworthy tip * Ensure to inform them that you are aware of the issues they've had, and they're also willing to acknowledge they do and they would give you the best room for what you have reserved.

Google
The hotel concord is paying an upscale price for a mid to low level service hotel. The room was always dirty and they did the bare minimum to clean your room each day. Basically they just change the towels but otherwise your room will remain dirty each day. The front desk staff are either not there or not helpful but the location is great. We also paid for a parking lot that we could not even use on New Year’s Eve and the hotel did not inform you or even care. So if you can find something at a similar price or even a bit more I’d go somewhere else

Google
Loved the location. Every single person we dealt with was a pleasure to be with, from the waiters to the people at the service desks. Both restaurants were really good. ||It was so nice to be able to walk out the front door in the morning for a walk in the park. Or for a walk straight into Old Quebec City. My room was very nice. Many other restaurants right outside on the Grande Allee.||I'm a little surprised at the negative reviews I saw below. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, and by the way, they do indeed have safes in the room. Look in the closet. My friend said the place needed a renovation, but for me it was just fine, comfortable and clean. If it gets a renovation, you'll be paying that price.||I speak French and English, but my friend speaks only English. Not a problem. Everyone super nice.

We brought a pet with us (which we were allowed to do so long as we paid extra) and were placed in the most nasty room I’ve ever seen. The chairs looked like 1,000 dogs had jumped all over it and left their mark, and the beds bore a similar aesthetic. The toilet wasn’t even secured to the floor and risked toppling over every time we sat upon it. Also, there are only 4 functioning elevators to accommodate the hotels 26 floors worth of guests. Overall a shocking experience. (Sidenote, the manager WAS super kind when I told her about the quality of the room and she kindly waived the parking fee… but we were still forced to stay in that room a second night because it was the only one that they had available.)

Yelp
Undoubtedly Le Concorde's location is incomparable! The front desk had no idea that I am a reviewer. However, beware: the images in the website do not depict reality! the place screams "Help". It is outdated, moldy, and decrepit. It would do the city a major favor if someone felt compassion and gave it a make over. It is very unfortunate because within the hotel is one excellent restaurant! the view from the room I got is amazing! Someone should help revamp this place. Due to my allergies, I will ask for a better room, if such thing exists.

Yelp
The worst hotel experience I've ever had. i attended a conference for work and this was the location. The first night at 12:00am a stranger opened and entered my room while I was asleep. After we finished screaming we realized they had given my room to someone else in error. They returned to reception to sort it out, I tried to go back to sleep - which was impossible. The hotel did not check on me (a female by myself). The next day I returned to my room during a break in the conference at 10:30am, only to find out I was locked out. I had the event manager deal with getting new keys but later found out the front desk told the stranger (who was also at the same conference) at midnight they'd have to reprogram my keys... but they never told me? They never called? They didn't put new keys under the door? Nothing. They didn't do anything at all (not even apologize) until I got the event manager for the conference involved. Later I went to the front desk myself, and notified them that half the safety lock on the door was missing, the clerk said she would move my rooms and then went in the back to get approval. Out came a supervisor who immediately said he wouldn't move me, saying all the rooms have safety locks, then when I showed hIm a photo he changed his story to there were no rooms available. Even though the first clerk had told me there were. He was quite agitated about the whole thing and actually raised his voice at me, wouldn't listen, was rude, and ultimately was not at all concerned for my safety or the fact I was rightfully a bit uneasy. When I said if I wasn't at a conference I would leave, he said "go ahead" so I did. I checked out and stayed at the Chelsea for the remaining 2 nights where we had another group of rooms. Truthfully it was much cleaner, and more updated. Needless to say they also had functioning safety locks.

Yelp
Read before you book at Le Concorde. My family came from overseas to visit Canada and I have always wanted to returned to Le Concorde, which I had previously visited with my husband. I was especially interested to return to the amazing restaurant on the 28th floor. Therefore I booked one night for 6 of us, and we checked in on Oct 10 evening around 9pm. My uncle gave his ice pack which he needs for his insulin to a gentleman at front desk around 1030pm. He asked for it to please be put into the freezer he will pick up next morning at check-out. The attendent took the ice pack and agreed to do so. The next morning my uncle and myself came down to the front desk. First, the girl at check out greets "Bonjour" but no eye contact or smile. Below is our conversation, her name is Rluisa, I will use R. R: Bonjour. Me: Bonjour, we would like to check-out. Uncle: And can you please give me the ice pack I gave to the front desk last night. It should be in the freezer. R: We don't have freezer here. Uncle: But I gave it to the guy around 1030 last night, and he took it. So maybe it is in the kitchen? R went in to the office behind the front desk, and after 5 seconds, she came back. R: We don't have any freezer here. Uncle: Can you ask him where did he put it? R: We don't have any freezer, it's not here. Me: Do you have any notes from last night's shift, mentioning the ice pack? R: No, we don't have it. You can get the ice from 2nd, 4th ... floor. Me: The ice pack is very important for us because for medical needs. Because my uncle has diabetes so he needs the ice pack. Uncle: Can you please check again, maybe in the kitchen? R went back again, 2 minutes. She came back with the ice pack. But the ice pack is room temperature wasn't in the freezer. She handed over without saying anything. Ok, I AM MAD!!! Me: It wasn't in the freezer? R: Maybe you didn't tell last night it's for medical. Me: What? What will you do when you have customer's ice pack? She was silent. Me: Ok, Please give me the name who was on duty last night. R: There are two of them, which one? Me: Please give me all their names. R: Hamza and Jamal. Me: And your name please. R: Rluisa. Me: And manager. R: Aymem. Do you want to speak with manager? Me: Yes, please. She went back in the office again, and came back in a minute. He is on the phone. Me: Ok, that's fine, I'm here to enjoy old Quebec city with family. Not spend my time waiting for the manager to discuss poor service. I will post on social media, because I don't want any one to experience this ever again. Also, we booked 3 rooms, 2 of the bathrooms faucets are missing; we have to use face cloth to get enough leverage to use them. Your hotel is one of the landmarks in Quebec City and I'm sad is not getting good care and professional training.

Yelp
This hotel is A-OK, so three stars. The location is fabulous if you are stopping there to see Old Quebec and nearby areas. It is walking distance to many things, including Plains of Abraham, the Art Museum, the Old Quebec City, Old Port and Chateau Frontenac. On top of the hotel is a revolving restaurant with beautiful views, though a reservation is strongly recommended. There is a small gym, pool and hot tub area on the 4th floor. I did notice that in the common areas some of the furniture would benefit from a good steam cleaning. The hall of the floor we were on had a few odds and ends of litter on it when we arrived which made me think 'uh oh'. The hall carpet would also benefit from a steam clean. Our room however was very clean. Speaking of our room, the bed was very comfortable, I slept well. Our view from the 20th looking out over Old Port, The Chateau, and The Plains of Abraham was amazing. The furniture was modern, but some of it past its prime. Still, we were comfortable. Staff were all pleasant from the front desk, to valet, to wait staff. Be forewarned, if you are driving and parking, the lot below the hotel is tight, and limited, so you may be sent to another lot a few blocks away. Overall for what we needed, it worked out very well and I was happy with our stay. The dirty of the common area soft furnishings is what makes it a 3-star rating.

Yelp
Please read before booking. I stayed at the Concorde in July of 2023 for a festival in the area, it was a fine hotel then, no extra bells and whistles but did the job at the time. When considering a hotel for a family trip over thanksgiving I recommend this hotel. That is a recommendation I severely regret. When we arrived at 12:30 am, front desk checked us in just fine and we headed to the room, we had booked a suite. Upon opening the door, we were shocked to see the state of the room. It was covered in water damage, the heating unit was completely busted and had mystery pills lying in the vents, pillows and sheets were yellowed, none of the lights were plugged in and when we did plug them in, none of them worked. The entire room was absolutely terrible and I can't exaggerate it enough. We went straight back to the lobby and the receptionist was nice enough to let us tour 2 other rooms. One of the rooms was only slightly better than the other, the second room we couldn't even enter as the door handle was completely busted. At this point we decided to abandon the suite and just get two connecting rooms. The room we finally ended up staying in was sup par at best, but we weren't going to put up a fight at 1:30 am. The next night a random guest barged into our room with a key! The front lobby had apparently not checked us in properly after moving rooms and gave our room to someone else. They sent someone up to apologize and he promised to call to find us another better room, he never called. To finish, this entire hotel is in desperate need of an upgrade. The rooms I stayed in in July were apparently the newest rooms and you just have to get lucky with what floor you get. This is absolutely FALSE ADVERTISING. The website looks nothing like the actual rooms because each room is different due to random refurbishing. I understand that this hotel is many floors and over 40 years old, but for what we paid it was NOT WORTH IT. On a final note, this hotel is just disgusting. Nothing is clean, every floor we went on while touring rooms was a disgrace, trash on the floors and stains on the walls. Reception did nothing to help us on our stay besides Nicole. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Yelp
Mildew in the bath. Opaque parking procedures. Broken sauna. Pool looks like the back end of a water park. It's so 80's with a 90's makeover. That's not a bad thing necessarily, for instance the well executed Pacific Palms Resort in Rowland Heights. It's a luxury hotel in need of maintenance and basic updates before a makeover. Through wall computer controlled smart heat pumps would be a big plus. Mildew. It's not your staff. No one has done all mud tile since the 60's. The impermeable membrane is made of plastic which has degraded over time. The mildew is coming from BEHIND THE TILES. Save yourself, and your future managers this headache due to someone having pinched pennies in the 80's. Change to solid surface or Dekton which don't have grout and you'll have beautiful showers and tubs for 50 years. And another thing, the ancient toilet hardware is probably conspiring to execute you by a thousands cuts. Probably going to fail one by one. See I just saved you hundreds of thousands in consultation fees.

Shalem H.

Yelp
The main thing is the location! Excellent location! Near to all the cool site seeing in Quebec City (which is adorable, by the way!) Pool is also great, and fun option when traveling with kids, as we were- Although the pool decor is rough around the edges. Our room was fine, clean, great view, but definitely in need of some updating. Especially the bathroom which was giving late 70s vibes. The place is huge and check in felt like an airport. Parking is $25 a night, off site, which is not ideal. There is a nice restaurant, gift shop etc on the Lobby floor and a fancy restaurant on the top floor (we didn't eat there) with amazing views.

Maria S.

Yelp
This hotel doesn't deserve even 1-Star. The price is outrageous per night for a place that is not well kept, unclean and for sure mildew in the showers and wall AC unit. The showers are repulsive and need a massive deep cleaning. We had two full size beds that didn't even have a fitted sheet on them. Just a sheet that was thrown on top that basically moved around and left you sleeping on the mattress itself! The comforter had a blood stain on it. No toiletries offered and the front desk reception are very rude and snooty at the request of towels or questions in general. Not one in particular, all of them! The only good thing about this place was the location and that is it! Save your money and go to a B & B! Almost 1,000 USD for 3 nights. Not a complainer, but this was absolutely disgusting.

Ben L.

Yelp
Now to be fair, I've only stayed at this hotel for one night and it was selected because of its close proximity to the cruise ship terminal. The location isn't bad as it's close to a park and old town Quebec is about 10 mins away on foot. There are also several restaurants on the street next to the hotel. I didn't try any of the restaurants in the hotel though. The lobby is decently sized and seemed welcoming and there are a couple of stores you shop for crafts. The room we got was A-Okay. Pretty clean, no bed bugs, plenty of electrical outlets (which was appreciated since we were a party of 4), and beds weren't lumpy and for the most part comfortable. One strange thing we all noticed was that the ceiling of the bathroom felt a little low. Low like you could smash your head in it if you jumped upwards and you were 6 feet tall. Speaking of bathrooms, soap, shampoo and hair drier, as well as towels were provided. Room had a mini-fridge, but no mini-bar and the view wasn't too shabby of Quebec. Overall for the price you pay it wasn't a steal, but it wasn't a disappointment either. It was kind of down the middle hence the rating of 3-star A-OK. Just look at the pictures to get a better idea. Also checkout is 12pm which is nice since most hotels kick you out at 11am.

V J.

Yelp
We spent around $1000 on this trip, and yet the service at Le Concorde was terrible. We had to request multiple times for basic things like fresh towels to be kept in our room as we stayed for multiple nights, but the hotel staff simply ignored our requests. When we had this issue escalated to the Front Desk Manager Ms Megan, she rudely declined our basic request. We said that we plan to write a review on social media, to which she stated that Le Concorde management will remove any bad/negative reviews! This is totally unacceptable. This hotel threatens to take away the basic rights of free speech of its customers. In this day and age??!? Seems the hotel staff is undertrained, uncouth, and subconsciously or consciously racist. Terrible experience, never again!!

Isaac S.

Yelp
We stayed here in the summer. The location and view was great. Everyone working here was helpful. The room was really nice and the pool and restaurant both had incredible views as well. The hotel is very close to many touristy locations locations but not too busy. Definitely recommend.

Anonymous U.

Yelp
If I could give -2 stars I would. The staff at this hotel was INCREDIBLY rude and disrespectful to me and my peers. Starting off, there were guest running around the hotel with no clothes late and night and they were being very disruptive when we were all trying to go to sleep. The staff did nothing about it. Then we got accused of "whistling" when none of us even knew how to use that skill. The hotel staff wasn't even supposed to go right up to our door, they were supposed to get our supervisor and contact them. We were told to step out of the room, but we refused. We tried to explain there were noisy, rowdy, and obnoxious hockey players from the AHL two doors down, but the woman refused to believe us, even though we had proof. They offered me and my friend (both WAY under age) alcoholic beverages. Then when our tour guide and supervisors confronted the hotel, along with the witnesses, the woman denied, and kept rolling her eyes at us. We called for room service pillows later that night around 9:00PM, and they said they would be right up. Then at 10:30PM, they came up to our room with a cot bed, and when we said we didn't need it, he just walked away and never came back with our pillows that we asked for. Overall, this was not a good experience, I would not recommend coming here.

Yelp
This hotel is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in my life. I have been go through all over the world and different countries but I haven't seen such hotel. Very bad smell in the corridors and rooms. Very old,Rusted and musty and sticky furniture, sofa, table. I can't believe it. You can't even touch anything. Old electric plug. Nasty washroom abd bath. Water stuck on the bathroom floor and like you can swim in it :| . Bad smell on bed, toilet everywhere. The worst of worst. Old TV old sofa Old bed. Old refrigerator. Oh. God. I can't imagine how one hotel should be such nasty and disgusting.

Dani D.

Yelp
Wow! I expected so much more. Especially for the rates. Where do I begin? The bedding looked crumpled, the towels are like something I would find at a car wash, 1/2 the electric outlets didn't work, there was actually a LINE to get on the elevator. A long line. The restaurant JaJa? I came down to have a glass of wine. They told me they would not serve me in the restaurant if i was having a glass of wine. I had to go to the bar. I'm not comfortable at a bar. I didn't understand this. Then I went to order room service. There is none. You have to order from the restaurant and come get the order. So, I came downstairs, placed the order, and said I would sit at the table and have a glass of wine. They told me , "You are not allowed a table while you wait for a to-go order." I would not stay here again.

Uyen D.

Yelp
I stayed at this hotel only once, and that was in 2011, I can't recall much of negative details. But I came back for a congress last week-end, since why I posted the pictures. Wi-Fi is available but works 75% of the time. The food was really good. We had David's tea served for refreshments !! And of course, it's a super spot !! The plaines d'Abraham is right down the stairs !!! Can't say much more since I was only there for a two-day congress. It was 125$/night to stay there.

David H.

Yelp
Returning from a two-night stay, I'm still underwhelmed and disappointed. There was no thermostat to control the temperature in our room, and the bedding seemed unusually thin for the temperatures. The fleece blanket in the closet had small holes in it. The toilet in our room had brown stains in the bowl and the shower drain was broken upon our arrival. Housekeeping clearly made no effort to report this to maintenance. Mildew in the showers was another disappointment. The location was convenient, but I think that next time I'll stay at either the Marriott or Delta Hotel.

Fiona H.

Yelp
This is my first review ever, but I feel like people should know. This is a very average hotel. I'm just glad we got the second night free, otherwise I would have been extremely disappointed. The doors between rooms are as paper. The heating device is loud. They advertised an arcade room for spring break which consisted of one ping-pong table, one foosball table, a random arcade game and a pinball machine, so four stations for the whole hotel. The bed was comfortable enough. I asked twice for a broom to be brought to my room without success. I think it used to be a good hotel, but they def need to update some things or start charging a bit less. I will not come back here.

Adam C.

Yelp
The Hotel Concorde is the most average hotel I've ever stayed in. The location is good but not great (it's 5 minutes to the Citadel de Quebec and 15 minutes to downtown by foot). The building itself is modernist, without a hint of character, though the lobby is tastefully appointed and the rooms are large. The bathroom in my room showed its age and it doesn't come with a fan or good lighting, but overall the accommodation is fine without being spectacular. The reason I give only 2 stars to the Concorde is due to the staff. We arrived at noon on the day of check in (official check in time is 4pm, which is later than virtually every hotel in the world). The staff said they didn't have any rooms. The hotel didn't look full, so I asked if they could make an exception or at least call me when the room was ready. They refused and suggested that I come by around 2pm. I was with my 70 year old grandmother, we had a lot of luggage, and we had paid in full, so letting us in would have been a nice gesture. We returned to the hotel at 2pm and they still didn't have a room. We had to wait until 4pm and not a moment sooner (really annoying but understandable). Later that night, I asked the concierge staff about how to get to the Montmorency Falls by public transportation (btw, the falls, located 7 miles outside the city, are an excellent site to see). The staff desperately tried to sell me a tour in a double decker tourist bus. When I said I wasn't interested, he pressed on, offering me a discount on a slightly cheaper tourist bus (still $35 and a ripoff). When I asked if I could take a taxi to the falls, the concierge said it wasn't possible, and that it would cost $100. I whipped out my google maps app and found out that I could take the bus #800 from two blocks away straight to Montmorency Falls for $3! I don't like getting scammed by anyone, least of all the staff at my own hotel. I love Quebec, but next time I'm staying in the old town.

Yasmin T.

Yelp
FILTHY RUGS ...POOL DIRTY ...ONLY POSITIVE VIEW FROM ROOM ...THE BEDS ARE HORRIBLE. The staff are helpful ..location is good . We had dirty chairs with left over chips stuck in them from previous guest. The place needs a real upgrade

Yelp
After looking around and waiting for the right price to show on one of those hotels it finally appeared on Le Concorde Hotel and i grabbed it with both hands. We got a deal of $148.00 a night. I was really skeptical since review were not as good as they were before they reopened in Feb as 3 *** from 4 **** before. We were checked in quickly and we made to our room on the 7 th floor despite asking them not to give us that floor since it is a pet floor they insisted that it was not a pet floor (they lied ) but have to say we never had any noise or smell problem or even saw a pet. as soon as we entered the room the big window captured our sight to the view of old town and the st Lawrence river. MAGNIFICENT. The room was great , it was very cleaned and well made. The hotel is situated on Grand Alle filled with high end Rest and lounges. It is also just half a mile from the entrance to the old town and the plains of Abraham is in back yard of the hotel . The Citadel is only half of the half mile . So as you can see the location is the best you can find. Also it is on top of a little hill so every time you walk back from old town you are climbing on elevation not that much but whole day roaming will make you tired. The hotel was located so nicely we came back to hotel every day for 3 days we were there around 2 pm have couple hour naps and then start back again. SO THE LOCATION cannot be beaten. The bad parts no WI-FI worked the first day and then had problems for the next two days and parking is $30.00 a night .Hence one star gone there from 4 There is a GOVT parking lot right behind the hotel which totaled us $42.00 for friday evening, sat , sun and Monday morning with in and our privileges. Hotel is $30 a night so you make a decision on that. There are so many parking lots cheap by 75% around the hotel quarter mile radius that people are stupid using the hotel parking lot being so expensive. Overall a good place to stay. Def we will stay there if we get a good deal again.

Yelp
12$ for wifi. Really? Do they not know that Most places now have Free wifi? but its free in the lobby?? ya im going to hang out downstairs...in my jammies??!?!? I dont think they thought this one through. 6th floor... dated but clean. beds are comfy and Warm! real blankets! Nice tv but sketchy reception...wierd. view was still nice, city and water.. got this one through priceline. Right downtown good for touristing and walking around! and near tons of restaurants.

Yelp
To stay or not to stay... If you get a decent rate, this might work for you. On the positive side this hotel... 1. Has a great view from its top floor. 2. Is mere steps from the nightlife of the Grand Allée on one side and the Plains of Abraham park on the other. 3. Has good, but not great rooms. 4. Has a generally friendly, helpful staff. 5. Has a clean pool and workout area. 6. Serves best as a conference hotel. On the negative side... 1. The main lobby carpet is showing its age. 2. Popcorn ceilings and badly dated hallways are everywhere. 3. Beds are inconsistent. (My double bed room had an old mattress that was soft and sank in the middle and a new, firm one). 4. It is a large, somewhat impersonal building that looks like a bad architectural experiment from the 70's in a town that is quaint and romantic. 5. It is a fairly decent downhill walk to the old town, even a bit further back up the hill after a night of eating and drinking! 6. It can be expensive. You might not get a great value for your money here. If they are hosting major conferences, the few remaining rooms will go for a premium.

Yelp
Staff are friendly and give good suggestions. The hotel can be pricey. We got the room thru Priceline. It's walking distance to lower towns and close to restaurants. A fancy coffee machine is in the room. The view is awesome. The room is very clean. Check out time is noon. Two things I don't like about this hotel. Parking is $25 per day. They don't give you free wifi in your room. If you don't want to pay, you have to stay in the lobby to check your emails. Even Motel 6 or local laundromat give you free wifi access these days. I take out one star for being cheap on wifi.

Yelp
Hard to find a faster check-in. Location unbeatable and rooms are wide and beds comfy. Staff is excellent.

Yelp
The hotel is a great spot as its in extremely close proximity to great restaurants, clubs, and bars along with it being a short stroll to old Quebec and the historic sites associated with the Citadel. The views from the rooms, especially as you go higher, are amazing. But the view from the Ciel bar - bistro that sits atop the hotel are second to none. Providing a 360 degree view as you complete a full rotation in the moving floor. Plus, the have free wifi in the hotel to compliment well designed and furnished rooms. If/when I return this definitely the first location I'm going to arrange my stay with.

Yelp
Very Bad, No response to my email with complaint When I booked the room via Expedia it stated that I had a view, do not know what they consider a view when on the 5th floor facing some houses. Considering this is a 4 star hotel, I was expecting a lot more for the money I paid for one night. Here are some complaints in regards to the room. The room was freezing as heating was not on and with wood flooring it was not pleasant, no slippers and no bath robes. In the washroom besides a stained toilet bowl there were only a few rough (sand paper) towels and none were bath towels. TV signal was always failing to a point that I turned the tv of as it was frustrating. Dust on the curtains and floors was outrages, vacuuming around the couch and not underneath on wood floors...

Yelp
Yo what up dawgs, this hotel worked great for wife, husband, 5-year-old, 2-year-old. Beautiful view, warm indoor jungle-themed pool, top floor is a rotating restaurant -- all big hits with the kids. Location's also great: -right next to the gorgeous and gigantic Plains of Abraham Park -right next to a big strip of bar/restaurants (think Adams Morgan in DC) but helpfully at the end so it's not loud -easy straight 15-minute walk to Old City Rooms were fine, nothing special.

Yelp
Nice safe location close to main busy street (Grande Allée) where surrounded by great restaurants and bars. Walking distance to Fairmont and other touristy places. The room itself was kinda outdated especially the furniture but pretty clean. I didn't get a chance to check out their amenities since i was outside most of the time. Jaja restaurant on main level had great breakfast. There was a revolving bar with great view of QC on top of the hotel called Ciel.

Yelp
Go sit at the bar at (the appropriately named) Le Ciel on the top floor of Le Concorde. Sit there for hours, preferably on a cold November day when you won't feel the tiniest bit guilty about drinking one too many beers or cocktails while enjoying the spectacular scenery as you make a second or third rotation. The dirty martini was good, the beer was what you'd expect, the taco appetizer was great (and affordable), but the view. The view!

Yelp
This is an aging early 70's monster of a hotel but it could be much worse. Luckily it is in very nice surroundings and is not as out-of-place as you would expect. It has on one side a large park that brings to mind Central Park, a nice quiet street with a well landscaped median in front and a busy street of restaurants, bars and clubs on the other side. Perfect. The place seems to cater to groups which can be annoying at times because they only have four elevators which can cause large log-jams. In the somewhat dated lobby they seem to have a disused restaurant/bar space with a view to the park and an area for outdoor seating that had me wishing it was open and full of people. The genius is the fourth floor swimming pool. While it could use a update, it was clean and modern feeling. A great place to spend an evening. Rooms are as you would expect from a hotel this old. Only cosmetic changes have been done so it's a problem that the bathroom doesn't have an exhaust fan. The tub seems to be where the makeover money ran out. It was right out of a motel 6. The sink did have a granite countertop though. I liked having an all automatic coffee maker in the room but the housekeeping staff had trouble resupplying it. Housekeeping was spotty as well with cleaning. I found a pair of Nikes in the closet (not my size) when I checked in. I left them for the next guest. Maybe they'll be size nine.

Yelp
I can't believe this is a 4 star hotel. My stay was quite disappointing. There were disgusting brownish stains In the toilet of our room. It was so cold in the room and I couldn't find the button to adjust the temperature. So we ended up unplugging the air-conditioner entirely. But even though we did so, it was still freezing in our room. At the same time, the quilt provided was extremely unusually thin, the next morning my boyfriend caught cold. On the other hand as other reviews said the wifi was basically unusable in the room.

Yelp
The grand old days are still visible. Apparently this place was closed 4 years before someone bought it. Gone are the days of valet parking and a conciarge. Niw you wait at the front desk forever to get an answer to a simple question. The front desk staff couldn't give a shit about answering question about nearby attractions. They point you to a rack of nearby brochures. Its like a lottery to see who gets parking until they run out of passes. The hotel doesnt even own their own parking any more. The top floor restaurant is under construction. The breakfast buffet is a mess of lukewarm boring fare that simply isnt worth the 15 they charge for it. Would I stay again? Maybe in 5 years if they get it back to where it was. They must restore valet parking and the conciarge first though.

Yelp
We stayed at the Vice Presidential Suite on the 12th floor. View: We had a breath taking view of the old town, the Frontenac and the st Lawrence river, and plains of Abraham on one side Size: The suite was massive, I'm not sure of how big it was exactly but it must be 1000+ sq feet. We had a very decent size bedroom with a king bed and huge lounge area with 8 seater dining table, sofas that could seat 6 and a bar area that could seat two. We had a small bathroom in the lounge are as well. The bathrooms were not as big or impressive as the suite. Location:The hotel is not very pretty to look at from the outside, its a tall brown building that doe s not match the surrounding of the pretty city. However, it is a good location, its on the Grand Allee street which has bunch of cute cafes and restaurants . it is located next to the famous lebanse place le gallette (which is a must try). it is also next to the plains of Abraham, which is great place just to relax, have a picnic of run. It is 7 minute walk to the old city which is not bad at all. Staff: Very helpful and polite staff. My husband wanted to play tennis and this lady at the concierge Catherine Levesque was kind enough to arrange everything for him. She also helped us out with a lot of other things including booking our train tickets to Montreal and printing our tickets for us. Gym/Pool: Very basic, only 3-4 equipment for use, and a small pool. L'Astral: The restaurant on the top floor gives a 360 degree panoramic view of the city, although u dont need to stay in the hotel to go to the restaurant. We ended up going only for drinks so I cannot comment on the quality of food. Overall I would say we had a good experience, and would consider staying here again.

Yelp
This hotel has probably the worst internet I have ever used. On one of my bed sheets, there was weird red stain which made me paranoid of what else there could be. The pool is also dirty. Chargers or plugs fall out very easily so it might fall out when you are asleep and won't have a fully charged phone. Bed is also broken. We left one day so they could clean our room but they never came.

Yelp
Front desk randomly upgraded us to a different room facing the castle and old city. Super nice

Jeremiah W.

Yelp
Rooms are dated, no opening windows or ventilation of any kind. Parking is $25/day extra Front desk is unhelpful "Gym" is some weider machine from the 80's, a couple treadmills and a few dumbells. Good location though!

Yelp
This hotel was great. The service was good and the location was awesome. It was walking distance from the historic section but far enough to avoid the crowds. It is on Grande-Allee E which is a street filled with tons of restaurants. The room was great (equipped with a Keurig) and the view from the room was amazing. We could see the whole city including the Frontenac. Definitely stay here when in Quebec City. Parking was a bit expensive ($25 per day). However, since they didn't have self parking available, they didn't charge us the valet fee.

Yelp
Hotel staff was excellent. Very accommodating and a pleasure to deal with , upon our arrival they upgraded us to a better room as far as views go it was awesome. Unfortunately we had to check out early the next day due to sickness, they were very accommodating with not charging us for the second day. The only downside to this hotel is that the rooms seem to be a little outdated, they could have been furnished a little better also the bathroom supplies are very limited very little amount of towels and toiletries.

Yelp
This hotel has wonderful views and an excellent location. However, the decor is tired and dated and the service patchy. We requested a cot for the room, and while assured it would be no problem, it took three requests to make it happen. The cot was very old and the mattress offered little support - it was not worth the extra charge. Another problem was that our "non-smoking" room had clearly been a smoking room in the past. It smelt terrible, not something that would be expected from a high-end hotel. Coffee was provided in the room, but no tea-making facilities. This place doesn't live up to the luxurious reputation. It may be worth it if the view and location are main considerations and if there is a good deal going.

Yelp
Hotel is outdated but location wise it is close to everything. A park is just around the corner with a nice view of the river. Our room was clean and functional. The bathroom could use some remolding. The window seal in our room was leaking so the view out of there was sort of messed up.

Yelp
Nice place, Parking is limited the observation deck is closed. That was a bummer. Still good place to stay

Yelp
Location - Right in the heart of Grande Alle (Grand Alley of Quebec City) Parking - We couldn't get parking inside the hotel on the first day, so we had to park inside an underground parking in a building nearby, but on the second day, on inquiring with the concierge staff, we got parking inside. Now parking inside is tricky. It's spread over 3 floors underground and you're basically sharing the space with building foundations, and various utility lines. On rainy days, it gets pretty wet & messy inside. For $24/Day, Parking is at a premium. But it's pretty similar with all the indoor parking facilities nearby. Views - We stayed on the 25th Floor, and the views from the room and the windows in the corridors were amazing! FYI: Ask for a Room with an ODD Number, your room will face the Old City instead of facing the Pierre Laporte & the Quebec Bridges. Service - All the staff (Valets, Concierges, Housekeeping) were bi-lingual and extremely helpful. We had to wait approximately 45mins while our room was being prepped, but the views and the late-checkout more than made up for it. Room - Our room was mostly clean, and we didn't spot any stains on the walls, floors or ceilings as mentioned by other reviewers. The room air-conditioner/heater definitely needs a major cleaning. It was covered in dust from what seemed like it's never cleaned in 50yrs! Washroom - This is our biggest pet peeve when visiting any establishment as it gives one a brief idea of the establishment. The space inside is fine, but the bath-tub is pretty tight for any person over 5'5" and 120lbs. The biggest pet-peeve was however the lack of any air exhaust system. Given the magnificent gastronomical establishments in the city, the lack of exhaust and any form of air circulation inside the washroom was stifling. Also they've got pretty big waiting areas on the main floor and by the restaurant downstairs, so waiting for your room isn't too bad. Wi-fi was free everywhere, rooms, corridors, and lobby. So that's a big plus as some places even in 2015 charge for wi-fi. Overall, a pleasant stay during a very busy weekend. Will check-in the next time we are in the city. But PLEASE CLEAN THE AIR CONDITIONERS AND IT'S FILTERS INSIDE OUT, & PLEASE INSTALL AIR EXHAUSTS/CIRCULATION SYSTEMS/VENTS INSIDE THE WASHROOMS!!

Yelp
This hotel is TERRIBLE. The service is horrible, by all people. They are extremely rude. We asked for more towels and they actually fought with us and gave us trouble for ONE towel request. The hotel is not great either, the rooms are old and smelly. The lobby is no indication of the ugly condition of the rooms. The toilets don't flush and the showers needed caulking. Speaking of toilets, there were MEN walking into the women's bathrooms in the lobby to clean them while women were in there! This happened more than once. We even witnessed an employee yelling at a sweet old lady for asking questions about the Le Ciel restaurant. Terrible service, terrible hotel. I don't recommend staying here.

Yelp
A fantastic location right on Grande Allée East. Minutes from Battlefields Historic Park, The Citadel, Old Quebec and much more. The parking lot is very tight and one must be careful negotiating the turns going down to the parking levels. Kudos for the parking being directly below the hotel as opposed to10 blocks away as has been my experience. The staff greet you upon arrival and you walk into an inviting lobby. There is a restaurant, gift shop and variety store on the main floor. The room was very clean and bright. I was on the 18th floor. The room had a very large window with an all encompassing view. The desk was huge with electrical sockets built in. Very functional. The beds were outstanding. The bathroom was a little on the small side. But it does the job. Please do check out Ciel! Bistro-Bar at the top of the hotel. It is a revolving restaurant and is enthralling. Unbelievable views. A definite must see. I do strongly recommend this hotel.

Yelp
During my last stay at this hotel, I have been extremely disappointed. We had requested for a room with a view on the river and we ended up with a view on the Plains of Abraham. When we asked the reception desk to change room, we were told that we were seeing partly (stretch your neck) the river and we needed to be more specific and should have asked for a view on the river and the old Quebec! We paid 24$Can + taxes for a parking place, we were sent to a parking building down the street and had to walk back to the hotel (not very practical under the rain). I would like to add that when we requested a change of room, the receptionist took the time to look at the list of available rooms, excused herself to speak to her manager and came back saying that our request could not be accommodated. How insulting! P.S. There is no free WiFi in the rooms, you have to go in the hotel lobby! If you decide to stay at that hotel, be very specific as to what you want!

Yelp
room was dirty, there was still food left in the fridge from the last guest. whole place was pretty dirty. location is good though, right next to plaines of abraham and walking distance to old quebec and FEQ

Yelp
Great location (5-10 min walking from old Quebec) but the hotel itself was only okay. It's rated as 4 stars but you would find it hard to believe after staying here. The rooms are small and the furniture/decor feels cheap. The bellboy was also really rude to my friend. We got out of the taxi and there wasn't anyone to help us so we grabbed a pulley to start loading our things and he said snootily that this was a 4 star hotel as if we didn't belong. I booked the hotel through priceline's name your own price and got it for just $115/night which I think is a good deal for its location.

Yelp
I am very disappointed with my stay at this hotel. I did not feel like I was treated like a respected and valued customer, but instead felt like I was being looked down upon and very disrespected. I booked my stay here online, and on my receipt it lists under the amenities "free breakfast". So I went to the front desk and asked for the voucher for the free breakfast. The receptionist told me that my room was not eligible for free breakfast so I returned later with my receipt and proof of voucher redemption. After much debate they eventually reluctantly gave me a voucher for free breakfast. I told them that there would be three of us so I asked for 3 vouchers, but they refused and only gave me two and said I must pay for the third person. Wanting to avoid anymore headache and conflict, I just agreed and payed for the third person. Later when I was returning my keys to check out (I had already paid for the rooms in full upon check in) I noticed that the hotel had charged me a guest fee. They told me that since I had three people eating breakfast, hence had three guests in a room, they had to charge me for the third person. My room had two queen beds, and yet they charged me a guest fee for a third person. I said okay and agreed to pay the guest fee but then in turn asked that I receive my money back for the third person I paid for the breakfast. If I paid for 3 people in a room, and my room comes with free breakfast for each guest, then shouldn't all three of the guests receive free breakfast? We debated over this for a few minutes then the manager of the hotel came and told me to leave. He did not make any attempt to try and resolve the issue in anyway. His first words to me, as a customer of his hotel, were to leave the premises. Money or extra charges were not the issues that upset me. It was the manner in which I was treated during my stay here that had me very disappointed. The staff all belittled me and did not treat me with any form of respect. I am a U.S Veteran that came on vacation to Canada. The treatment that I receive in America for being a U.S veteran is so vastly different than what I received here at this hotel. This hotel needs to learn more about customer service, and respect for human beings as a whole. Needless to say, I will not be staying here again, nor will I be recommending this hotel to anyone looking for a nice place to stay with respectable staff members.

Yelp
I'm not quite sure how to fully review this hotel, but it definitely wasn't that bad. The outside is very unattractive and dated, but the inside is definitely nice. The lobby has marble floors and other "more-updated" cosmetic changes. The staff is friendly and bi-lingual which is helpful for those of us who don't speak much French. The rooms are ok. Nice granite counters, modern furnishings, and a beautiful view of the river and park, but still slightly small and nothing fantastically special. I would research a hotel thoroughly before booking, and decide if you want an "old world charm" feel (which this hotel doesn't have) or a more modern feel (which this hotel has tried hard to create). A place to look into and stay at if you're into it!
