I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The highlight was definitely the breakfast – a great variety, fresh options, and everything was well-prepared. It was a great way to start the day. One downside is that there’s no free parking on-site. However, paid parking is available nearby, which was manageable but something to keep in mind if you're driving. Overall, a comfortable and enjoyable experience. I’d consider staying here again, especially for the breakfast!

We had a wonderful 2-night stay here! Surrounded by a bunch of high-end hotels, this hotel stood out to be inexpensive in terms of décor and comfort level. We were able to get to our room upon arrival at noon to freshen up, but checkout was pretty strict at noon. Though they do have a business center if you need some quiet space to work.||The location was perfect, within walking distance to Old Montreal, subway lines, and the 747 bus to the airport. The room was spacious with a comfy bed and a very strong water pressure in the shower. Nice touch on the Dyson hair dryer. A Mac desktop was provided in the room, but we didn’t need it as we travel with our own laptops. ||Continental breakfast buffet was decent with freshly made croissants and pastries, juices, boiled eggs, and fruits. The staff were all friendly and helpful. There was a gym, but we didn’t have time to partake. Parking was also available if needed. Overall, a wonderful stay that’s close to the center of Montreal!

I stayed at Le Dauphin May 13-17, 2025 while attending a meeting at the nearby convention center. I adored this hotel. The staff were friendly, and the room was quiet. The decor was modern, attractive, and functional. I loved the bathroom, including the high-end Dyson hair dryer. Breakfast was tasty and enough to start my day. I would book this hotel again in a heartbeat.

The location was the best with good access to everything that you would like to see in Montreal. The continental breakfast was amazing with fresh croissants and juices. There was a desk, monitor & keyboard in the room which was a good idea to use in case that you are traveling for work. Some rooms are viewing the wall which I don’t recommend. Go for those viewing the street. Area of improvement: Adding some omelette to the breakfast. Having toothpaste. Adding a closet or some kind of hanger for clothes.

Came here for work. Conveniently located adjacent to the convention center, where I needed to go. The room was spacious and clean. Sound was well insulated except for a slight toilet flush from my neighbor. I had a corner room, so a terrific view. Gym was only open from 6am, so that was a disappointment. Staff was great. Super helpful. A clock in the room would be really convenient.

Clean, spacious rooms with hardwood floors, an iMac and a Dyson hair dryer. Breakfast options were plentiful with lots of pastry varieties. The hotel is located in a safe central area within walking distance to Vieux Montreal (though the entrance can be easy to miss). It was a perfect stay and I would not hesitate to stay here again!

Google
Such a beautiful hotel in a great location. Walking distance to old Montreal, but also saint Catherine street. This hotel is very close to two metro stations, which is very convenient. The rooms are very spacious and aesthetically pleasing. The hotel & rooms are very modern and clean. The breakfast is fantastic and very fresh with many options. The front desk staff were very friendly & helpful. I loved how they didn’t cheap out on choices for the rooms. The hairdryers are dyson, which is a huge plus. I always find using gore hair dryers added to my time getting ready in the mornings. I also loved how each room had a Mac desktop, which was very convenient for looking up things to do in MTL, or checking up on work related things. I’d recommend checking out pub Saint Pierre if you’re staying here.. they have the best cocktails in the area!! I would definitely stay at this hotel again!!

The rooms are bright and very clean. The bed was super comfortable. I could tell that the room was thoughtfully designed. Lots of storage space. The bathroom was exquisite and very clean as well. Water pressure was great even on the 8th floor. There was even a Dyson hair dryer! The breakfast in the morning is top notch with lots of pastries. They don’t do your usual scrambled eggs or bacon, but I promise you won’t miss it. The croissants are very crispy on the outside and heavenly on the inside. They even have Montreal style bagels! The crew that run the breakfast station are constantly cleaning and replenishing. Also check out time is very generous. We were told that check out time was at 12PM which was lovely since we didn’t have to rush. If you’re looking for a hotel with a great price point and is centrally located, I’d highly recommend Le Dauphin! Will be staying here the next time we have the pleasure of coming to Montreal.

Yelp
Here on a recent business trip, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff was very nice. well-hidden gem in the heart of downtown, Montreal. It's in a pretty prime location, super close to Chinatown and just a few blocks from St. Catherine Street where there's tons of shops, restaurants and Basilique of Notre-Dame. The room was a standard size room with a couch in the corner for more sitting if there is a larger party in room. Had a flat screen TV with an Apple desktop computer and desk. Coffee marker in room. Internet was free and with a decent service. Bathroom was very nice with a glass walk-in shower and rain heads faucets. Plenty of closet space to hang clothes. Security was great with buzz in entrance, so you are not just going to walk in just because! The hotel serves a continental breakfast but did not take advantage of it. They also have a gym on the first floor. We will back to this hotel on my next visit.

Yelp
I would give ZERO star if I could. Terrible customer service. We booked Le Dauphine through Super.com for a 3-days' stay. We have never been to Canada and we were excited to see Montreal. We planned to drive from NY to Montreal which takes about 10 hours. Unfortunately days before the trip my husband got sick. As the illness progressed we unwillingly decided to cancel the trip. Two days before the trip, we contacted Super.com and also the hotel trying to cancel the reservation with a doctor's note . Super.com was unhelpful. Different staff said different things, and hey didn't give us much information to help you deal with the cancellation. The staff from Le Dauphine was even worse. From front desk to manager, they offered NO customer service. We emailed and tried to talk to the manager but he refused to talk to us. While Super.com asked us to contact the hotel to get their consent to cancel, Le Dauphine said they had nothing to do with the booking but Super.com is responsible. Once they get your money, they don't care. Three weeks after, Super.com said Le Dauphine are not willing to refund and our USD$500+ went down the drain. Super disappointed! Never will do business with Super.com or Le Dauphine again! And it will surely take a long long while for us to ever consider going to Canada.

Yelp
This hotel is an oasis of peace and cleanliness. Hospitality, affordability, Le Dauphin is the well hidden gem in the heart of downtown, Montreal. Best ratio quality-price and delicious breakfast.

Yelp
For our first time staying in Montreal, this hotel did the trick. It's in a pretty prime location, super close to Chinatown and just a few blocks from what seems to be the business district. Also, the subway stations aren't far at all and that makes it vastly easier to traverse the city. A few reviews here had noted the water pressure but they must've fixed it or it's a room-by-room issue as our water pressure seemed fine. If they fixed it after reading the reviews, good on them! The gym is on the first floor (one above ground floor) and there is a free continental breakfast. I only gave it four stars due to the parking situation. Due to their location, there is no parking garage attached to the place. Instead, they have a deal with a parking garage about a block away.

Yelp
First of all the location and staff get 5 stars. This place is in downtown but just 2-3 blocks from Old Montreal, walking distance to the train station and just a few blocks from St. Catherine Street where there's tons of shops and restaurants. We even walked to the Museum of Fine Arts. The building is a very modern type design and the walls and ceilings are concrete so you can't hear anyone else while you're in your room. We arrived at night and were quite surprised the next morning when we went to breakfast and saw all the people, literally don't hear a sound. As for the continental breakfast, there's a lot to choose from: bagels, croissants, yogurt, breads, fruits, cereals, hard boiled eggs, coffee/tea, juices and more. I really enjoyed it but my husband wished they had at least scrambled eggs. The area is very large with plenty of seating. My only problem is they won't let you take any food/drink up to your room. Bummer. The rooms are very nice. Ours was a kingsize bed with all white bedding. Every room has a Mac desktop computer. Also, a Keurig machine, fridge, safe, blow dryer and iron and ironing board. My only real complaint with the room is the furniture. Two wicker style chairs in this large space that were not very comfy, especially after a long day sightseeing. A sofa or real chairs would be much better. The bathroom was gorgeous with a huge shower but the bathroom has a glass "barn door" no privacy at all. We had to move rooms half way through our stay because directly across the street is a large construction site that starts work at 7am sharp Mon-Fri and it was waking us up. The front desk was very kind and moved us to a room at the back of the building and it was extremely quiet with beautiful city views. We really did love this hotel and highly recommend it.

Yelp
Location, location and location. This adage applies perfectly to this hotel with the bonus being that it's clean and affordable. We have never been to Montreal so we had no idea how convenient this location was to great restaurants, Basilique Notre-Dame, Old Montreal and Downtown. My wife found affordable rates to the hotel for Dec. 26th to the 28th. We stayed 2 nights and 3 days. Check in time is 3pm and check out time is 12pm. We arrived earlier than expected but thankfully, they had the room ready for us already and the clerk let us check in. Our room had 2 Queen size bed, one for our daughter and the other one for my wife and I. Even then, the room was spacious. Most importantly the room was clean and did not find any unpleasant surprises. The bathroom was of decent size with a nice shower and sink. The room had a flat screen TV with an Apple TV and a desktop iMac computer. Internet was free and with a decent speed. Make sure to remember your Netflix and Apple ID passwords as you will be able to login to them using your ID. Just make sure to logout before leaving. We spent watching Netflix at night. The hotel serves a Continental breakfast but did not take advantage of it. They also have a gym in the first floor. We did not request a maid service during our stay so cannot comment on it. Parking is $22 per 24 hours at an underground garage at the Palais des Congres de Montreal. No in and out privileges. So why only 4*? The reviews indicating the paper thin walls are not exaggerating. You could hear from your room, people opening and closing doors or having conversations in the hallways. If you are a light sleeper, this may be a huge issue. There's construction happening right in front of the hotel too but that was not an issue for us because of the holidays. We will back to this hotel on our next visit to Montreal.

Yelp
US California review here ! Wife and I stayed here four nights and five days. This hotel is located in a great location. We were able to walk EVERYWHERE. Everything is between a 5 to 25 minute walk. The hotel is close to everything (food, shopping, and tourist stuff). It's within a block or two from metro. It more simple and cleaner than BART. If you are not a walker, Uber rides to everything is cheap because of the hotels location. Whatever floats your boat. The rooms are clean and updated. I never asked for room service or needed anything but everyone was friendly. They give you breakfast every morning on the main floor but we ventured out to a lot of eateries. You can check my other reviews because I enjoyed every location we ate at. An Uber ride from the airport cost me about 27 US. The hotel can get you a cab for a flat 40 CA which is like 31 US. Internet is free. They have really FAST internet. I feel it's faster than my Comcast and I pay for that extra boost at home. There is an Apple CPU in the room and WiFi access is available for your personal devices. The bathroom and shower stall are big. The water pressure could be better. The towels are good quality (not that hard and rough stuff that irritates your skin). They give you two water bottles as well which is always a bonus. I would definitely return to this hotel is I visit Montréal again.

Yelp
Interesting choices made at this place. I'm not sure what market they are going for. Im a business traveler so I'm going to approach from that angle. 1. You can't go anywhere in the hotel without your key out and ready to swipe. In and out of your room and gym as per normal, but also in the elevator to choose a floor - any floor. The one place you cannot get to with your key - the "business center " requires another key that you need to go to the lobby to have made for you. By the way, your room key is required to be in a wall slot to turn your room lights on. Nobody told me this when I checked in the first time. So - essentially you can't leave your room with lights on, which is good in theory, but other usecaees arise which makes this an awkward restriction. 2. Low floor street front is LOUD AF. Construction 50 feet from your window. Also, thin walls and lid slammy doors. Nuff said. 3. A feature of this hotel is a full on Mac computer in every room. Literally chained to the desk so you cannot move it out of the way to use the desk with your own computer which you no doubt brought with you as a business traveler. 4. Super firm bed. Like a rock, actually. And it is a double - not even a Queen. That's actually OK for me because it's a bit more space and I'm not sharing a bed. 5. No drawers for your clothes or anything you might want to stash away from housekeeping. There is an in room ikea-like hanging rack. The one drawer has extra pillows for the Murphy bed (!) also included in a room - for a second person? 6. There is one small table which serves as a nightstand. You can put the wall clock on the floor and drag the table over to the sofa so you can eat the meal you've ordered from uber eats - no restaurant on prem. 7. Excellent continental breakfast! If I were a tourist this place would rock -- but not great for business travel where we tend to spend more time in the room like we are going home at the end of a long work day. The folks who work here are super friendly too.

Yelp
I was extremely pleased with my stay at Hotel Le Dauphin. Staff was very courteous and helpful in orienting me towards local sites of interest; check-in process took just a couple minutes. The room was clean and spacious -- almost twice the size of a comparable room in New York City, where I'm from -- with modern amenities, large and comfortable queen size bed, refrigerator, desktop computer with free wireless internet, and excellent view of downtown. Continental breakfast is included with a broad range of yogurts, cheeses, toast, scones, cereal, eggs, and beverages. Location is excellent, as it is just five minutes from the Old Town, Rue Saint Catherine, and Chinatown, while also being great for a good night's sleep since it's far from any high-traffic streets. Hotel Le Dauphin compared favorably to many other 4-star hotels I have stayed at. I had browsed the listings of over 20 hotels in the area, and was very pleased with choosing Hotel Le Dauphin. It was excellent value for the price, and I would be delighted to stay at the hotel again on my next visit to Montreal.

Yelp
What a wonderful surprise this place turned out to be. About half the price of the big hotel chains across the street, this loft style boutique hotel is very cool, clean, comfortable and conveniently located. For what it is and what I wanted, I could not have asked for more. The rooms are like studio loft spaces, with 10' ceilings, hardwood floors, large refrigerators, your own Apple desktop computer, Apple TV, Keurig coffee machine make the room feel like home. You can watch Netflix from your own Mac or from the Apple in the room. Automatic window shades. Rates include continental breakfast and they have a nice expresso machine. Their daily home made banana bread is a nice touch. They don't have laundry service, but they have washing machines you can use at no charge. They sell detergent packs for $1.00. They don't have a bar, but sell wine by the bottle and half bottle, airplane size liquor, mixers, snacks etc much more reasonably than at a bar. You can drink in their lobby lounge or bring up to your room when watching your Netflix. Most wonderful of all are the staff, who are very friendly and helpful and are totally chill. No drama or attitude here just really nice people. Great central location, close to metro and a block or v two from the 747 airport bus.

Yelp
This hotel was an amazing find! We were looking at the random hotels that we were passing by while driving through Montreal. We saw that Hotel Le Dauphin had a prime location- We pretty much went to the front desk asking for the price for a room (for shits and giggles because we figured it'd be out of our price range). The price was VERY reasonable, so we decided to book it for that night. We weren't expecting anything too fancy with the price that we paid. Well sure enough, the room was amazing for what we paid for. The shower was enclosed by a large see-through glass wall. Everything in the room and bathroom were clean and crisp. The comforter on the bed was very comfy. The room had a flat panel TV, and YESSSS... a computer with free internet access! It's very difficult not being able to use a smart phone with internet or without roaming charges up the roof, so it's still nice being able to keep in touch with the computer. The hotel's location was amazing. It is walking distance to Old Montreal, Chinatown, and ohh yess.... la rue de Sainte-Catherine. Breakfast was nice. Nothing too fancy but they offered things like cereal, bagels, croissants, cheese, etc. Service at the front desk was great. All staff of younger ladies and gentlemen were very friendly. Next time I visit Montreal, I am booking this hotel. Love it and loved the price.

Yelp
As other reviews mentioned, the location is unbeatable, but it was the room design that made this hotel the best place for us to stay during covid-19. All the surfaces in the room were washable and made it easy for us to clean the room to our liking. Also, the room had no carpeting and the armchairs were made of faux leather, which was perfect for people with allergies. The breakfasts were slightly underwhelming and repetitive (a yogurt, an apple, a cold croissant served in individual paper bags plus coffee), but given the pandemic situation we couldn't really complain about it.

Yelp
Great hotel! Friendly concierge service that helped plan our visit around the city. Rooms were clean and tidy. Bathrooms equally clean and nice. Spacious and perfect for weekend stay. Not to mention the Mac Desktop Computer in the room and the smart TV was so useful!! Wifi was a little weak but accounting for everything together it was minor.

Yelp
The beeping from construction trucks started at 7:15am. It's so loud I'm unable to keep sleeping... it's beeping as I type this. I can also hear every single door in our hallway open and close as people leave this morning. Add this to the rude front desk girl from last night, the $250 "deposit" because I only have a check card, the lackluster shower, broken toilet handle, awful bed and shitty wifi and this hotel was a disaster for what we paid. Pay extra for a better location and hotel. I will NOT be returning.

Yelp
Though spacious rooms and new installations, lots of complains: - very bad internet - room attendents come repeatedly into room even when "do not disturb" sign is on - they through away mistakenly issues which might not look valuable, but were so for us - breakfast is rather miserable

Yelp
Great hotel! Room was super modern and hugely spacious. Bathroom was beautiful, almost like a spa (tub was practically big enough for 3 people), with a separate walk-in shower. Room also had 2 smart televisions (1 for the living area, 1 for the bed area), and an iMac. My only issue with the room were the paintings over the headboard of the bed, which really get in the way if you want to sit up. But, they can be easily taken off the wall and replaced later. The gym was much better than expected. Very clean, very well maintained, good space, smart tv to watch, towels, and bottled water. I can't speak for the cardio equipment, but the weight machine was in excellent condition, so I imagine the cardio equipment probably was too. Gym wasn't busy at all either; I was always alone. The lobby and breakfast areas were very attractive and well maintained. The staff was always very pleasant. Desk staff are bilingual, which is to be expected in Montreal. So, if you can't speak French, than just go with English (which, as a fluent French speaker, I often did since I have fantastic difficulty understanding the québécois accent in French). The included breakfast was acceptable. It would've been nice to see at least another protein option other than hard boiled eggs or dairy, but that's a typical issue with most included breakfasts at any hotel. There is 15 minute parking just in front of the hotel for loading/unloading your car, and they have a decent deal with a garage just a block away. I'd definitely say this should be a strong consideration when choosing a hotel.

Yelp
Very Nice room and very close to metro, love the bathroom and shower. Each room had a computer to find info on. The check in and some staff, not so great. Room was not ready on time, I had all my luggage in tow was told to hall it all back in car an room might be ready at 4 or 4 30. Also did not care for the ten bucks for bagel and coffee for breakfast. One of the nicest staff was the custodian we chatted up at the lobby

Yelp
This hotel is smart. For the location -right in the center of downtown- the room rates are a steal. Ugh- and In this traffic=shit city it was fabulous for them to offer covered parking underground. The room set-up is brilliant with sleek furniture with a modern profile that makes a small room feel much larger than it is. Our room had two leather chairs, a fridge and safe (both inside one cabinet), a desk WITH a computer WITH wi-fi, flat-screen TV, a (very) firm bed, and a spacious bathroom with a doorless tile shower. The staff was young and helpful, and made a pretty decent breakfast spread in the AM. I really enjoyed this modern little hotel :)

Yelp
The location is great if you want to walk around downtown and use the metro. So much to see and do within easy walking distance so that's the best part of the hotel. They also offer a free breakfast with some nice staples like boiled eggs and fruit. They have a great deal on parking with a nearby parking garage which is cheaper than other valet parking options in the immediate area. The room was not that great. The television was huge and there wasn't much noise from the hallway so that was a bonus. The shower was awful. It was so weak that it felt like you were not washing up. Nothing we did could fix this so I think it was designed that way. There's a window in the shower that looks out to the bedroom which is just creepy. Not sure where they were going with that feature but we found it bizarre. We also did not like the exposed concrete walls. At first, we wondered if the hotel room was still under construction as we were on the 9th floor and there was a paint smell in the hall the first day we were there but it appears it's just a design choice. It made the room seem almost like a jail and I'm not sure I like the idea of concrete walls at all although we did see it in a few other places so might be the in thing in Montreal. The room was also way too hot and nothing we did could help this. I'd set the heat way down and try to turn it off and it'd be near 80 again by the morning. Finally, the elevator system was slow as people had to use their key card to get up and this seemed to confuse some travelers and slow everything down for anyone trying to take the elevator. We'd probably give the hotel another chance due to the good parking deal and location but if you're looking for something higher end then it likely is not the best place for you.

Yelp
Pretty much everything you need in a well located hotel can be found here. This hotel is in a great location--close to transit and within walking distance of just about everything you could need. They offer a continental breakfast that featured bagels, croissant, bread (for toast), yogurt, hard boiled eggs, beans, cheese, mixed fruits, oatmeal, cereal, coffee, tea, juice, hot chocolate, espresso. The hours are good, 6am-10am and 11am on weekends. The breakfast was self-serve and, except for the odd guest who blocked the toaster and plate area, was a pleasant experience in the morning. The staff kept the breakfast room well stocked and clean. The room was decent. The beds were a bit squeaky, but not unbearably so. We liked that we had control of the heat. The room had a fridge, stove, desktop computer, coffee pot, and TV. It was convenient to have a computer in the room, except that everything was in French and there wasn't a way to switch it to English. It is also worth noting that there is free WiFi; it's really easy to get on, but we did find it to be sluggish. We made use of the TV and DVD player, both worked well (the remote may have needed new batteries though). The bathroom had heated floors, but we couldn't figure out how to turn it on. The glass shower enclosure was lovely and easy to use. And while the height of the shower head is adjustable, it doesn't have much depth--you're basically standing in the corner the whole time. Water pressure was a bit low, but the temperature was great and easily adjustable. On a couple of occasions, when we came back to the room the bathroom had a weird odour (other reviewers have had similar experiences). It wasn't super awful and it did go away. Housekeeping did a great job refreshing the towels and complimentary toiletries every day. The staff were polite and easy to talk to. However, not particularly knowledgeable about tourist activities and unable to really provide recommendations. They were great with directions and looking up information for us though.

Yelp
Rates were unexpectedly affordable for this modern, clean and spacious hotel in the heart of Montreal. You really can't beat the location for exploring the city. Breakfast is complimentary. Enjoyed my stay and would return.

Yelp
This right downtown! I came here with my girlfriend for her birthday for two days. We loved the room, we had an amazing view. We loved how modern it was with the open concept. The bathroom was incredible. Power controlled curtains, fridge, mac computer and wifi. This hotel had it all. The staff was also very helpful. I'm from Vermont and don't speak any French. The staff wasn't rude and was able to explain every question we had. For its location it was incredibly quiet. It's right next to the convention center and not a far walk to the main streets. I'm going to stay here again in a few months.

Yelp
What attracted me to this hotel was the location and the decor. We took Amtrak up from NYC to Central Station in Montreal and this hotel was a short 10 minutes (about 3 blocks) walk away. Go west from here and you hit downtown Montreal. Go north and you're steps from Chinatown. Go east and you're a few blocks from Old Montreal and The Old Port. The decor within is modern but not over the top modernist/art deco. There's enough wood to give a warmth often lost in most modern design. The hotel all around is well cleaned and very quiet. The staff is very friendly and tried their best to be as helpful as possible. The reason I say "tried" is that the toilet in our room had issues flushing. Despite having supposedly two people coming to fix it, while we were out, the problem persisted. Eventually we were placed in another room. The only other incident was me geting a cup of hot water in the kitchen. The door was left wide open so I grabbed a cup and started putting hot water in from the dispenser. The woman from the front desk came in and was short of scolding me about it being closed and how I'm not suppose to be there. As I left, she was closing the door in a hissy fit, mumbling to herself. Rude! It's a shame because despite the overall good service, that one women ruined my enjoyment of the stay. The location might be good but there are plenty of other hotels in the same area and I will be reviewing them instead.

Yelp
Definitely a great hotel... usually when I travel out of the country, I like to stay at hostels/local hotels and decide based on TripAdvisor/Yelp/Booking.com customer reviews and such -- this was no different and was a great choice!! Hotel building is only 10 stories, and maybe 5 rooms on each floor... so it is quite small. Guidebook in room says family-owned and operated. Room itself, was quite large and spacious -- had complimentary water bottles, coffee, WiFi, Mac computer (advertised as Apple TV). Window shades were electric, but loud when rolling up/down! Beds were quite firm and blankets had weird feel to them. Location was perfect as well -- 10 minute walk to both Old Montreal and new Montreal... towards "new" part of town is McGill, tons of shopping, bars, outdoor plazas, and metro system as well 100% recommend this hotel

Yelp
I love this hotel! Crisp and clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Room is HUGE! So are bathroom and shower. Flat screen TV is also huge. Centrally located. There are a TON of restaurants within easy walking distance. I definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Yelp
There was room for improvement the moment we arrived. Parking was a couple blocks away and without clear direction. Our room was a good size (for 4 young women) and the beds were comfy. The bathroom was nice as well, but the whole room was pretty standard for hotels. The breakfast packing included was very, very standard. No meat was available, and the only type of egg was hard boiled. Definitely didn't compare to the Hilton in Montreal where I stayed last year. On our second day we saw a maid suspiciously leaving our floor without a cleaning cart, and a bag sweating from the condensation of cold beer cans. Weirdly enough 8 beers were missing from our fridge. When we contacted the front desk and the manager they were very unhelpful. Eager to prove us wrong, they continued to disrupt us with attempts to convince us nothing was taken. We had explained that it wasn't about the beers missing, but the concept of leaving our things in an unsafe room. The manager said we were wrong, and he had been the manager for 5 years and is sure nothing has even been taken. No apologies were given to us, only trying to prove us wrong. All in all, very poor customer service. I will not be returning to Hotel Le Dauphin.

Yelp
I just wanted to take the time to review Erin at reception. She was so welcoming and accommodating. We weren't staying at Hotel Le Dauphin, and she still treated us so well. That personal treatment is enough to make us come stay at the hotel next time we're in town. Good employees are hard to find, but genuinely nice, decent humans are even a rarer breed these days. Erin is all of those things. Thanks Erin, and thank you Hotel Le Dauphin for the gracious hospitality... Even if it was for only 3 hours! We hope to be back!

Yelp
Needed a last minute hotel during Grand Prix weekend and found this on Expedia. Very reasonably priced, clean, great continental breakfast. Advertised iMac and Apple TV as amenities, iMac was great but Apple TV was non existent. Had a view of a brick wall and construction obviously not finished with small details like exposed 2X6 around windows. Television is cheap making display look like your watching home videos (I'm sure someone will have a term for that). Very clean, no evidence of wildlife, late checkout, free wifi. The positives much out weigh the negatives. Would recommend.

Yelp
Hotel Le Dauphin is in the prime of Montreal. The price plus location equals a decent place to stay in Montreal but let tell you why I rate it as decent. First the rooms are nice! Modern looking, free wifi, LCD TV (no HD), stand up glass shower, 2 complimentary bottes of water and a computer in the room. We reserved a 2 queen bed room and that is what we received. The queen beds are very firm and the pillows are very soft. The only complaint I have about the room was the occasional sewage smell. We are not sure what caused it but it came from the shower drain. It didn't last long enough for us to notify anyone but it was strange. The service was ok. For some reason our room wasn't cleaned on the first day, so I had to call for fresh towels, unfortunately it took two calls to get the towels. We were not offered on site parking and we were told to park at the convention center. It is $22 dollars per day at the convention center. The hotel also offers a complimentary breakfast. It is not a full breakfast. It includes Montreal bagels, cereal, cheese, muffins, croissants, juice and coffee. Make sure to try their coffee, latte machine. It is pretty darn good. Lastly check out is very simple, except they said I owed money for two phone calls. I did make two local calls which should be free. I objected to paying and then the clerk said she could not look up the calls to see what area code I dialed. We went back and forth and somehow she was able to look up the calls and indeed verify it was local. She removed the charges and checked us out. The hotel is nice, but the service could have been better. I would stay here again.

Yelp
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is coming to Montreal. It is within walking distance of almost anything you could want. Restaurants, shopping, museums etc. When we first arrived we were greeted by a very nice employee. He started off speaking in french but when we let him know we didn`t speak french he immediately switched to english without missing a beat. On our first night we decided to venture out to get something to eat and he was very helpful suggesting nearby restaurants. Another employee offered to show us how to get to the closest mall as we mentioned a particular restaurant that just happened to be located in that mall. He kindly walked us over to the mall and directed us on where find the restaurant. The continental breakfast is sufficient. They have different kinds of bread for toast, crossaints, bagels, fruit, cereal, oatmeal, coffee, juices, milk and a cappucino machine. Whatever food they have down there they ask that you consume in the breakfast room and don`t want you to bring back up to your room. But you can bring outside food to your room as well as order delivery from the various deliveries in the area. Everyone we have encountered that works here from the front desk to the housekeepers are very friendly and helpful. I was pleased that the hotel has a gym for guests to use. It was so cold during our weeks stay that we didn`t want to venture out too much and the gym is a nice way to burn off some energy. Our room was very clean and well appointed. Each room has: *A large flat screen tv with a mix of french speaking and english channels. *A dvd player and in their little guidebook it says they have a selection of dvds at the front desk that guests can borrow free of charge. (They only have a few dvds and nothing that interested us.) *A mini fridge and a safe which we took full advantage of. *A coffee maker with mugs and a basket of creamer and sugars. They also provide you with 2 bottles of water complimentary, every day housekeeping replinishes the water. *An alarm clock that has an ipod docking station built in. *A wireless telephone. *A computer with free wifi in the room. The computer was pretty much useless. It`s programs are outdated and it is so slow it is hard to even check email with it much less go on facebook. I used my iphone with the free wifi and was able to keep track of facebook stuff and email. In the restroom is a little collection of nice smelling shampoos, conditioners, hand soap, lotion, body wash, a shower cap and a little hygiene kit with cotton balls and q-tips. As well as a blow dryer and plenty of towels. The stand up glass shower is wonderful, the water is nice and hot and water pressure is excellent. They also have heated floors in the bathroom which was great being we stayed here right in the middle of winter. Our room was at the back with a view of China town area and a parking lot which I didn`t mind. There was plenty of downtown skyline to see as well. The beds are very firm but the pillows are nice and soft. It has been fairly quiet during our stay. I started to wonder if there was anyone else here besides us but I finally heard a few people out in the hallway outside our door heading to the elevator. I would have given 5 stars but the computer brought it down to 4. They seem proud of having a computer in every room but like I said ours was pretty much useless because of outdated programs and error messages that are all in french so I couldn`t figure out what they were saying. Outside the computer everything else was superb and I would highly recommend Hotel Le Dauphin to anyone and everyone.

Yelp
Wonderful hotel. The room was very pretty, clean and comfortable. It felt like a hotel one would pay more for. The location is great - a block from the metro, a very short walk to the old part of town and definitely far enough away from the sketchy Spectacles area. The staff was very nice and helpful, particularly a young woman named Angela who gave me and my husband many great recommendations. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is the breakfast. The bagels and croissants were clearly a cheap frozen variety. Plan to eat out for breakfast and you'll be very pleased with this hotel.

Reasonably priced, modern and spacious room with a HUGE tub! Great convenient location as well.

Yelp
Stayed for a business trip and a few extra days to see the city. Great location next to the convention center (Palais de Congres) Great continental breakfast with free espresso coffee.

Yelp
We like staying in hotels where we don't have to drive. We were able to park our car in the garage for $22 a night which was very convenient (no in and out privileges though) and the location allowed us to travel everywhere by foot. It is just outside of Old Montreal and a few blocks from St. Catherine's Ave. In addition to being impeccably clean and very modern, the hotel had a lot of nice extras like free water bottles, umbrellas and a complimentary continental breakfast. We enjoyed the reasonable price and, although there was construction across the street, we stayed on a holiday so they were only working on the morning we checked out.

Yelp
This review is not for an actual stay at the property but more for management of the hotel. I was in Montreal for 3 days. I checked out of another hotel and went to the airport only to have my flight cancelled and due to inclement weather there were absolutely no flights out to NYC. So I booked this hotel. Then, while in line at the taxi stand at JFK I got a call from delta stating that there was an available flight at 10pm, so I took it. I called the company who booked my hotel room and was informed that even though my flight was cancelled and then rebooked (of course I wanted to go home!) that it didn't matter. No Refunds. I would understand if i waited til 10 pm but I called 2 hours after booking it. Ok. Well, I'll go though my travel insurance and put in claim anyway and I'll also tell everyone I know that the manger at this hotel is unreasonable. I can not recommend Le Dauphin to anyone. I'm a frequent traveler and next time I'm in Montreal Ill be sure to cross this hotel off my list. Sorry not sorry.

Yelp
Would have been 5 stars if not for the bed (very stiff) and the wifi (very slow). Staff is very cordial, bathroom is very nice, good continental breakfast, and an umbrella is waiting in case your forgot yours. Great location in downtown near everything.

Yelp
WARNING: There is construction happening on either side of the building, on one side, the foundation for a new building is being laid, while on the other a building is having another 4 or so stories added to it. IT IS LOUD starting at around 7-8 am. The construction continues till about 7 at night. If you plan on being up early and out all day, it's great, but, if you are like me and enjoy sleeping till around 9 on your vacation, expect a rude wake up. It literally sounded like someone drilling, or jack hammering, right above our room. We talked to the front desk who helped us switch rooms, they were helpful and accommodating but the noise prevails through the whole hotel. The Good! It's a clean hotel with an above average continental breakfast, they have all your typical things: pastries, eggs, bread, bagels etc. But everything they did have was really good. The rooms are relatively spacious, come with an apple TV and mac computer to use. Free wifi, great location. We walked almost everywhere. Also right near a metro station if needed. The bathrooms were clean and nice, the shower is very spacious. However, the shower wall is glass, so if you are sharing the room with others you're not as comfortable with it's hard for multiple people to utilize the bathroom. Parking was about a block away in an underground lot, costing 22 CAD a day (if you buy the tickets from the hotel, otherwise if you buy them from the lot, it is 25 CAD a day.) There are tons of places to eat, there's a strip of restaurants starting about a 7 minute walk from the hotel, and stretching for another ten or so minutes. Last thing to note: their thermostats seem to reset daily to whatever they are programmed for, this left the first room we were in very warm, and the second cold. We unfortunately didn't realize we'd need to change the thermostat daily till we had to leave.

Yelp
There are some pros and cons to the hotel, but we had a good experience overall. Pros: Good location as a jumping off point in Montreal to see the sites. Close to rue St. Catherine a major shopping street. It is also right next to Montreal's Chinatown. The price was right for the location. They offer a continental breakfast that featured bagels, croissant, banana bread, yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, beans, cheese, mixed fruits, cereal, and our favorite an espresso machine that makes cappuccino and lattes. The hours are 6am-10am during the week and 6am to 11am on weekends. The room had a fridge, Apple desktop computer, coffee pot, and LCD TV. It also had free WiFi. The bathrooms are spacious and nicely designed. The rooms have a modern, but welcoming feel with wooden looking floors. You need a key card to use the elevator adding extra security. The female staff at the front desk were attentive and helpful, but not all the staff were such. Cons: Biggest con was the parking recommended was at the Convention Center two blocks away for $24/day. So this is an add on to your cost if you are traveling my car. If, there had been a lot of snow this would have been a pain to walk with any luggage. There was a lot nearer outside, but when we say a car with its window broken out in the street, I would recommend you use the lot they recommend. The male staff at the front desk were a bit lazy and not as helpful as the female staff. I wanted to spend an extra night, but the male staff member was too lazy to enter it in and I went back later and the female staff member helped.

Yelp
It is a very good hotel in Montreal, well located, perfect clean room with beautiful design. The staff are very nice, and the price is reasonable.I enjoyed my trip to montreal staying 2 nights at this hotel, and I recommend it to everyone.

Yelp
I recently went on a business trip for a conference held at the nearby (literally one block away) Palais des congrès de Montréal. My wife and I came early to spend a couple of days in the city. The hotel is close to the VIa Rail station, shopping district, chinatown and sightseeing in old Montreal. For the location I thought the price was quite reasonable (certainly less than my colleagues who stayed at the nearby Intercontinental). I agree with the other reviewer that the decore and room set-up is very nice and functional. I have stayed in my fair share of hotels for work and pleasure - both fancy and not so fancy - and this was pretty darn nice. I really liked the free safe, water, Internet and computer, but not so much the firm bed, lol! The staff were all friendly and helpful. I thought the breakfast was pretty good and did the trick (more money saved). I say five stars for good value for money, and I love a good deal!
