Very good location! Convenient to all sight seeing places either in walking distance or by metro/train. For someone loves to see Eifel tower in the night with beautiful lights, this hotel is highly recommended, as it is almost at the foot of the Eifel tower. We could walk in the park of Eifel every evening after dinner and enjoy the Light-show. Hotel is clean and well equipped. Very kind and helpful staff. The breakfast was as good as it gets.

We really enjoyed our stay at Le Derby Alma! The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. The space was very relaxing and warm! We stayed for a short time but we would definitely come back the next time we are in Paris.

Perfect hotel for a getaway in Paris. I stayed at this lovely hotel for my trip and it was lovely. The room was clean and well styled, the staff were really nice and funny - absolutely loved it. It was walking distance from the Eiffel Tower which was great for a tourist! Definitely recommend this place if you are looking for your next Paris getaway.

Cosy place, very well positioned for easy access to the Eiffel Tower and some beautiful cafes and restaurants. ||Very friendly reception staff, only shortcoming was slightly small rooms. Apart from that, we loved it all!

This is a great location. It is within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower and many restaurants and stores. The front desk are friendly. Special thanks to Miowa for his hospitality and many recommendations. Feels like a home away from home!!

We had a very pleasant stay at the Hotel. They answered to all my special requests for my proposal just in time. And they also offered an unexpected gift for the occasion. I recommend!

We are a family of 4 -- two adults and two kids. The room was a bit on the smaller side but we were comfortable. The 2nd bed was a full size pull out sofa bed but the kids slept in it fine. The location was excellent! A 5 min walk to the Eiffel Tower, conveniently located near all public transportation as we took the Metro and busses all over the city; safe and not overrun by tourists despite being right near the Eiffel Tower. The staff was so friendly and helpful especially Quinn who greeted us on the very first day and was so helpful with her suggestions throughout our stay. The rest of the staff was also very warm and accommodating and couldn't have made us feel more comfortable.

We wanted to find something that was nestled into a nice neighborhood that had charm, in between a boutique hotel but with the amenities and guest services. We found it! This hotel was magnificent. We have stayed at luxury hotels all around the world, and would certainly return to this hotel if we return to Paris. The staff were overly generous with their time and attention. The cleaning staff were so quick yet thorough also so thoughtful with all of our shopping and bags. The lobby is so welcoming and a fun place to sit and relax. The room was classic and generous in size for Paris. The view of the Eiffel Tower was spectacular! (5th floor, 504). I wish I could remember all of the staffs names but I am terrible with that, but Quinn (sp?) was one of the many amazing people we met who work here who made us feel at home. They all jumped at the chance to make this an amazing experience. We will be recommending this hotel to anyone who asks.

I wish yelp allows zero rating. Worst ever customer service. We had to cancel our trip to Paris because of the bed bug situation. My four year old son is allergic to bug bites and has sensitive skin. I understand they didn't want to offer a refund but at the very least they could have offered us a credit for future use when the bed bug situation improves. But they point blank refused. We had booked one of their most expensive rooms. Shows how much they care.

Arrived at this hotel having booked a room with two beds. Got "upgraded" to a room with one bed that reeked of smoke. The situation only got hairier from there... Literally. There was a long black hair on the bed cover, and hair in the shower. Upon inspection, noticed several short hairs on the pillow as well (see pictures attached). The pull out couch had a large yellow stain which one can only assume to be urine. For a four star hotel this is unacceptable. When we asked for a taxi to the train station, the hotel front desk staff called one of her friends to take us in a "private transfer" unbeknownst to us. A cab fair that should have cost 10eur ended up being 35eur for a 10 minute journey. Stay far away from this establishment.

What I love about Le Derby Alma is first of all is it's location. When you are standing at the front entrance you have the Eiffel Tower towering in the close proximity. Secondly you will only have two small blocks from the metro. Lastly and most important, the hotel it's self is clean, not overly opulent and the staff is extremely helpful. If you are in need of a taxi there is a taxi holding area just up the street towards the Seine The rooms are perfect size unless you are one of those people that travels with you 36 piece matched Hartman luggage set. The beds are firm, which I prefer. I will add that I was in a mid tier room. I did not see the lower tier room, but mine was all that I needed.

BEWARE!!!!!!!!!! Property has no sympathy at all with guests after they take your money! Made a reservation through booking.com and I am aware that it is non refundable 10 days before the reservation date. This hotel looked so pretty and I was dying to visit Paris to see my sister who i haven't seen in the past 2 years because of the pandemic. Was almost flight ready when i got infected with Covid 19 7 days prior my flight!! Had to reschedule my flight with Delta Airlines and had no problems with it since its a covid related case and I have proof that i actually have it. Tried to make arrangements with the hotel called them, emailed them, talked to a booking.com agent to please ask if there is anyway i could have just the dates changed 2 days later instead so i could test negative and not infect people in my travel. i was willing to pay extra fee if needed and even be willing to downgrade just because of this unexpected event. I paid $270 for an overnight stay and the hotel wasn't willing to accommodate my request due to my unfortunate circumstance. The booking.com agent told me that the hotel director wasn't willing to even refund me. So inconsiderate!!! i have been working in the hospitality industry here in the US for the past 5 years and I had never experienced even heard of a property do such thing. I am aware of the whole cancellation rules but all I was asking is for them to be a little understanding since i am still like 5 days away from my original reservation date to just consider my request. BRING your business ELSEWHERE!! this hotel doesn't embody the word HOSPITALITY!! will never recommend and definitely warn friends who is ever gonna go to Paris about this property. You can stay in this property if you never get sick or never gets any type of emergency, otherwise if you are HUMAN and experiences emergencies go somewhere else this hotel won't cater to you!!! so disgusting

BEAUTIFUL HOTEL BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE! They made you feel like ROYALTY. Was an amazing stay the rooms where so dreamy and beds like feather! Eiffel Tower was 5 min walk u can see it from hotel . Best part walking into your room and finding a hand written note to welcome you to the hotel very CLASSY! Will definitely be back ! Thank you so much will never forget it

I travel to Paris for work and have stayed here a couple of times. I think this is a good hotel for business travel. The hotel rooms are a decent size and have a desk. . The wireless connection is also excellent in the room. Other places I've stayed have either not had room for a desk or had an inconsistent internet connection which can be frustrating. The decor in the rooms is dated - it won't win you over on that. But everything is clean and in good shape. They offer a breakfast downstair in the morning until 10:30 and it's also pretty good. Location wise you are about 2-3 blocks from the Eifel Tower, which is beautiful during the day and even better at night. There are some places to eat around here as well that are good and accomodate english speakers. You are also located near the metro and bus stops. Overall the location is pretty convenient. Overall I recommend staying here, especially for business travel.

After scads of research, my husband booked us for 5 nights at the Derby Alma based on its four star rating and great TripAdvisor reviews. Maybe we just hit the place on a seriously off week, but our experience was less "luxury boutique" and more "ghetto dollar store." On the plus side, our room had a nice big tub with excellent water pressure: perfect for long, relaxing soaks after wandering around Paris in the cold all day. We also had a view of the Eiffel Tower, IF we stood in one spot and kind of crunched our butts against the desk and craned our necks (one at a time, of course: this wasn't one of those fancy two-person views). Unfortunately that's where my praise ends. Our room was TINY: there literally wasn't enough room between the bed and the wall for my husband and I to pass each other, and we are not huge. There was a luggage rack, but no place to put it. As a New Yorker I understand real estate premiums, small-space living, and all that jazz, but this was ridiculous. When I pay four-star prices I expect a room slightly larger than the interior of a Saab. We could have forgiven the tiny room, but when we came home from dinner on our first night the entire floor reeked of cigarette smoke. I called the front desk and asked if they'd put us on a smoking floor, and was told that the hotel was non-smoking. ME: Well, someone is definitely smoking. Can you please find out who it is and ask them to stop? DESK: No, we can't go knocking on doors. ME: ?! But there are only six rooms on this floor. DESK: Do you know which room it's coming from? ME: No. It smells like someone is sitting next to me on the bed, smoking a cigarette. DESK: We can only do something if you know who is smoking. So our first night in Paris felt kind of like we were bunking down in the OTB. Romantic! Very fresh, very rank cigarette smoke continued to pervade our slumber throughout our stay, aggravating my asthma and giving both of us head colds. We complained several times, and asked if they could move us to a different room (since the smoker obviously wasn't leaving anytime soon), but they told us the hotel was full and sent someone up to spray stuff in our room and around the hall. By the end of our stay, we were pretty convinced the smoker was hotel staff. (My husband even thought he heard someone say it was the maid.) But it also could have been the night desk guy, because... You know what's fun? Coming back to your hotel after drinks with friends, only to find it locked with the lobby dark and no way to get in! This happened to us three times. The first was around one a.m., and it took a solid ten minutes of ringing the bell and peering in windows for someone to come let us in. The third time was even worse: it was 11 on a Saturday night, the lobby lights were still on, but the door was locked and there was nobody at the desk. While we were ringing the bell, a tour bus stopped and deposited about ten more guests, and we all stood there feeling like jerks until someone finally came and let us in after about seven minutes...or, y'know, just about the amount of time it takes to smoke a cigarette. Coincidentally (OR WAS IT?), the hall was rank with fresh smoke when we returned to our room. For a luxury-rated, luxury-priced hotel, you'd think they could either install a key-card reader outside the hotel, or have someone actually available to let guests in 24 hours a day. Just sayin'. Other "fun" stuff: - Our room was wildly drafty, with a thermostat that seemed to take our temperature-setting as a suggestion rather than a command. - The "fancy" sink splashed water splashed all over the bathroom. - Ditto with the shower. It was half-covered by a half-door, so if you happened to angle the shower-head the wrong way, water went everywhere. - The hairdryer was one of those appalling wall-mounted monstrosities that looks like Darth Vader and emits the world's saddest gasps of lukewarm air. I have long hair. It took so long to dry, I just gave up and stopped washing it. - There was no conditioner. Again, not something I'd expect from the local Motel 6, but at a four-star hotel? Dude, c'mon. - The teakettle leaked. - The internet went down while we were there. It took them two days to fix it. Staff seemed about as concerned about this as they were about someone smoking in their non-smoking hotel. - The location, right near the Eiffel Tower, is okay....until you want to get a meal that isn't insanely overpriced. Then you're SOL. Our stay in Paris was delightful in spite of our terrible experience with Le Derby Alma, but that hotel sure didn't do us any favors, and staff was barely apologetic. We'll definitely return to Paris. This particular hotel? Not so much.

Absolutely amazing. Very friendly staff. Comfortable and clean room. We had a very late arrival and the staff so kindly prepared our room for us so we had a quick transition with our kids. The pull out couch was already set up and made for us. The next morning we got up early went to a local cafe for breakfast and walked to the Eiffel Tower. Just amazing. And great location. We will absolutely be back when we plan on visiting Paris for a longer stay than just an overnight layover.

We loves our stay, all the staff was amazing and the Eifel tower is just one street up and then one street to the right , they have amazing restaurants near and very reasonable. We would stay here again hands down...

This is a really adorable boutique hotel and I'm glad I found it. The location was perfect, the staff were friendly and really did well speaking English with us, and the room was adorable. Just a couple of cons, the bed sheets smelled like they had been left in the washer too long, the hair dryer was terrible and the hotel staff walked in on us while we were in bed (thank god we were ONLY SLEEPING).

Best customer service hands down the whole France. I was so happy with my stay. The nicest people, Mehdi was amazing!!! He was very friendly and bubbly. Patricia was very nice too the first day we arrived. It was my birthday and they had left a note in my room and it was so sweet of them. Love this place!

We arrived for our three-night stay a few hours before check-in time, so the staff let us leave our luggage at the front desk. They just kind of leave them laying out though (with supervision), so we were glad we had locks for our luggage, just for peace of mind. Our room was on the first floor (that'd be the second floor in the US), facing the street, and it wasn't too noisy. The room was small but clean. The breakfast was decent with good variety, and the staff was very friendly. One street over from the hotel, you get a great view of the Eiffel Tower, and it's only a couple blocks to walk up to it. The metro is only a few minutes away by foot, and there are lots of food options nearby. There's also a small shop across the street that sells alcohol, which we made good use of, lol. We'd be happy to stay there again.

Staff is wonderful, welcoming and very helpful. The hotel rooms are very spacious and comfortable. They have everything you can possibly need. The breakfast area is warm and cozy and has many delicious things to chose from. The location is perfect for walking around. It is in walking distance to the Eiffel Tower and many local cafes and restaurants. Its perfect for tourists who want to have that local experience. I can't stress out enough how amazing and friendly the hotel staff is. I recommend this hotel 100%. I would stay here every time l go to Paris. Thank you for such great service!

Really bad hotel. We arrived at 7am and were told that our room wouldn't be ready until 3pm. This has never happened to me in my trips to Europe. After walking around Paris with my 2 young daughters until 3, we went to the room to relax. The shower had no water pressure to the point that it was really hard washing the shampoo out of our hair. The toilet lid falls and hits you on your back when you sit down. The walls are paper thin and the neighbor's conversation can be heard all night (along with them hearing ours). The only good things about this hotel are the location and room layout, which gave the kids their own sleeping space. Overall, not worth the price and lack of comfort in the bathroom. I'm not coming back.

Picture a queen size bed with an 18 inch perimeter around three sides. That's the size of room 105 at l'Hôtel Derby Alma. Whenever my wife wanted to get something out of the suitcase, the only place left for me was to get onto the bed or stand by the bathroom. The AC worked great , there was plenty of hot water and they supplied a nice selection of soaps and shampoos. The hotel was staffed by three 20 twenty-somethings who covered all 24 hours each day that we were there and apparently had minimal experience. Never once did I see a manager or even a maintenance person. When we asked for directions to a location 3 blocks away, they needed to use Google maps to find it for us. We now know that the street we were looking for is a major avenue that is used to get to the Eiffel Tower (Avenue de la Boudonnais). We found it curious that a local resident never heard of it and had to use Google to find it. I couldn't search for the location myself because there was no working wi-fi during the two days we stayed there. The desk clerk gave me the log in password for the hotel's system when we checked in, but we never could get a working connection and there were several other guests that had the same issue. The room was generally clean enough, but I was taken back when we saw the same drinking glasses we had used the night before still sitting on the nightstand filled with cloudy water remaining from the ice that had melted overnight. Speaking of ice, like most European hotels, there is no public ice machine. Here, the source of ice is the bartender. On our first night, he cheerfully filled an ice bucket for us. On the second night, we were shocked to find the lobby filled with 40 enthusiastic soccer fans that had come in off the street to watch the Euro 16 soccer match. Please note that none of these fans were guests at the hotel. I made my way through the crowd to ask for ice. This time, the bartender put 6 small ice cubes in the same large bucket that he had used the day before. When I asked him to please fill it up, he said he was sorry but he needed to save the cubes for the soccer fans. I guess he figured the potential tips from a customer paying 5 € for a beer was more important than a hotel guest spending much more. The final insult was when we asked the Hotel to arrange at taxi for us to get to the train station the next morning. We've traveled Europe many times before and it has been our experience that it's safer to use the hotel to make the reservation for a car to the airport or train station. We asked to have a taxi meet us at the Hotel at 5:15 am as we were catching a train at 6:30. The hotel staff person suggested that we use a fixed rate company that works with the Hotel, rather than a metered cab, which we agreed. At 5:45, 30 minutes after our scheduled pick up, we insisted that they call a metered cab for us since, although we were assured that they were on their way, it seemed likely that we could miss our train. Luckily, a metered cab cam within 5 minutes and we made the train. In summary, we did not have a pleasant stay at the hotel and expected a higher level of service for the price that we paid for the room.

Horrible - overpriced, small room, staff unhelpful, room was not cleaned properly only plus was the location.
