Le Fitz Roy, Val Thorens, a Beaumier hotel & spa

Just returned from a week at this hotel, we really enjoyed it the staff are all very professional and polite from the minute we arrived from our transfer from hell of 8hrs with all the snow on the 10th Jan we were just pleased we made it!! The reception staff were very welcoming and the nice guy who took our cases up to our room was so helpful even offered to take us for pizza, sorry didn’t get his name. We stayed 1/2 board and it was well worth the money, breakfast was delicious with lots to choose from, you could also order omelets or eggs Benedict or avocado on toast with poached eggs, the fruit juices were good quality and nothing was too much trouble. Evening meals were from the main menu and we tried most of it and all really delicious, the prawn ravioli and the garlic snails and the scallops were all beautifully cooked. The only thing from the starters we didn’t enjoy was the French onion soup, that was tasteless. The main menu had everything from Chicken, Duck and fillet steak all equally delicious too, we were disappointed that the wine was so expensive by the bottle and if the hotel dropped the price a little they would certainly sell more. The restaurant staff on an evening were all really good at their jobs very polite and again professional. Big thanks to Sam for looking after us and to Lena working her socks off waitressing well done for doing such a great job! Certainly worth booking if you are considering!! Very comfortable beds, lovely additional extras. Really felt welcomed into this hotel during our stay. |Perfect location Ski in/out. Friendly staff, very tasty food in the restaurant lots of choice. Ambience of the bar is super relaxing, loved sitting near the log fire. Would return for another weeks skiing anytime I can!

Stopped by the bar at Le Fitz Roy for a drink after walking past, and it was a lovely surprise. There’s a cosy fireplace in the middle of the bar which creates a really warm, inviting feel, and there was a fantastic live singer on at the time which added to the atmosphere. The service was great — one gentleman in particular made us feel very welcome, offering complimentary snacks and water as soon as we sat down, which was a really nice touch. A relaxed, chilled atmosphere and a great place to stop for a drink. Would happily return.

One of my favourite hotels that I have ever stayed at. The service and attention to detail is incredible and I loved all the interiors - particularly the green bathrooms! Having ski-in / ski-out access was incredibly helpful and the cookies in the boot room were the best treat after a hard day of skiing. Definitely the place to stay in Val Thorens!!

Where skiing begins the moment you step outside. Fitz Roy is always a joy to return to. The ski-in, ski-out access makes it an ideal base for skiing—effortless, practical, and perfectly located. The team is warm, attentive, and consistently welcoming, creating an atmosphere that feels both relaxed and genuinely hospitable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are already looking forward to 2026. Hopefully, next time, we’ll be greeted by a Christmas tree in the hotel as well ;)🌲

The hotel is well located in Val Thorens. However, it has very poor infrastructure for the high price we paid. My wife and baby were stuck in a lift for 15 minutes with no support. We also had a black out in our flat for various minutes while our small children were having a bath. These are unacceptable issues for this type of hotel. Finally, the hotel did not do any gesture to mitigate these horrible experiences.

We really enjoyed our stay , the room was warm and cosy . Next we stay we would book a slopes view room . The staff were very friendly in the bar and I had great help with the hire of ski equipment in the onsite ski shop . The ski in and out was great and the food in the restaurant was nice . I think we were there the 1st week of the season so new for everyone. Well done to all thank you .

We had an amazing experience. The staff was incredible, very high service. Facilities ate beautiful, breakfast and dinner were very good ( lots of vegetables in breakfast). Highly recommend this hotel.
