"With its historic streets and Old World charm (the city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site), touristy Old Québec can feel a little overrun at times—which is what makes Hôtel Le Germain Québec such a welcome retreat. Located on the edge of the nabe’s Lower Town yet just steps from popular attractions, the family-owned, pet-friendly boutique hotel is an oasis of comfort within the walls of the 1912 Dominion Fish & Fruit Limited building. Rooms marry 20th-century architecture with contemporary design and amenities, and the original windows afford lots of natural light by day. There’s no restaurant on-site, but the large breakfast area on the main floor serves a generous buffet, andthe hotel partners with a nearby spa for massages and treatments. One of the hotel’s best perks is a complimentary Lexus for cruising around town on errand or shopping runs."

Stayed here for 4 days, even though the a/c broke on 2 of the hottest days of the summer, would not hesitate to come back. |The location is perfect -- within walking distance of most attractions & wonderful restaurants & shops; the rooms are spacious, very clean, large shower, very thoughtful amenities including turn down service with delicious chocolates & fresh ice water to fill personal water bottles & use less plastic. There is parking on site for a fee.|What makes this property exceptional is the staff -- they are professional, kind, helpful and dedicated to providing a wonderful guest experience.|Anne was very helpful and went out of her way to ensure I was able to get what we needed when my husband became ill.|Ernesto was very kind and helpful and spoke Spanish to my husband.|When the a/c failed, Eli couldn't have done enough to ensure we were as comfortable as possible getting fans and ice (the hotel did offer to relocate us to another hotel in the area however we decided not to move in order not to lose any sightseeing time out of our short stay).|If you are looking for advice on where to go / what to do -- look for Benoit -- he is extremely knowledgeable and provided tips and valuable advice.

I booked two nights for my girlfriend’s birthday, it was as good as the others Le Germain hotels we’ve stayed at. The location is perfect, the parking is easy to access and the rooms were clean and spacious. Special shout out to the blond lady at the front desk, that accommodated my late check out because we had a long drive back; she was really sweet. There was also another brunette that was also really nice, and made the trip to our room to bring scissors when we needed them. Overall, a really premium hotel that I’d be happy to stay at the next time we are in town.

What started as a problematic stay due to a lack of Air conditioning /good ventilation in our room turned into a delightful one after some intervention by the hotel 's staff ||My original booking ( 4 nights, "Classic" , upper floor requested) was placed in June . Upon arrival we were assigned a 1st floor room and informed about the ongoing air "situation" in the wing within which our room was located. While it was comfortable outside , our room thermostat showed 24C ( 76F) with no chance of nighttime decline due to windows shut tight and locked (key unavailable) . I discussed with staff , who brought a tower fan (somewhat helpful) and assured things would look different the next day||Our 2nd day I checked with staff in the am prior to leaving. Assured things would look better upon our return in the late pm . Upon returning , it was suggested we view a room on a high floor , which would at least be some improvement over our parking lot view . Being in the same wing, it had the same air con issue |Fortunately, things were happily resolved within the hour -- we were upgraded to a "prestige" room located in the hotel's other wing . 20C for the Win !||Apart from the above issue, I found the hotel to be incredibly charming -- the lobby , seating areas and well appointed room . We had a very enjoyable balance of our stay (3 nights) and are thankful the staff was able to come thru in a pinch

We enjoyed our stay here. The service was attentive and nice. The hotel is very well located, walking distance to all the sights at old Quebec town. It’s a beautiful building. The room was spacious but the bed was small and the bathroom didn’t have any counter space. Besides that, all was good.

Chic, Comfortable, and Ideally Located||Le Germain Quebec is perfectly situated within easy walking distance of many top attractions and excellent restaurants, making it an ideal base for exploring the city. We stayed in a Prestige room, and the additional space was a welcome luxury—especially on rainy days when we found ourselves spending more time indoors. While the room lighting is on the dimmer side, ample natural light and stunning views of the St. Lawrence River more than made up for it. The room was spotless, and while the staff were courteous and reasonably attentive, service was more understated than exceptional. A standout touch: the hotel’s in-room shampoo and body wash are truly fantastic. Overall, a stylish and comfortable stay—I’d highly recommend it.

Just experienced a wonderful 4 night stay. The location was terrific. Close enough to walk to all of the sites but set away enough to provide space from tourist activity. Our room on the fifth floor was comfy with a great river view. The staff was friendly, gracious, patient and incredibly helpful with transit suggestions. We really enjoyed the breakfast and loved the coffee/espresso machine in the lobby as well as enjoying cocktails in the very comfortable public area. The property was extremely clean. You can tell the staff has a lot of pride in the property. Staying here really made our vacation that much more worthwhile!

Google
Overall I enjoyed our stay at Hotel Le Germain Quebec, with a few caveats. The good: The location of the hotel is safe, convenient, and walkable. The staff were responsive, helpful, and kind. As an example, there is a free coffee machine that makes lattes and cappuccinos in the lobby. The machine stopped working on one of the days and the staff offered to make us drinks from their staff machine, which was very nice. At night they offered cold water and chocolates which was unexpected. The improvable: The room was outdated. Much of the room had chipped wood or scuffed paint. The fold-out ironing board did not fold out flat. The lighting needs updating because many of the fixtures produced a lot of heat. These bulbs waste energy (and money for the hotel) and heat the room. The mini fridge also produced a lot of heat, enough that the countertop above it was constantly warm. I will note that we had to ask that the mini fridge was emptied of the egregious amount of paid-for drinks crammed into it. The staff were happy to remove them so I could use the fridge, but I think it's tacky when hotels fill the refrigerator with drinks and snacks. One or two items are fine, but there were far too many items in our room. Heat/AC: The heat was the primary issue. In late June it reached over 90 F, or 32 C. The air conditioning system is outdated and struggled to cool the room, never reaching its set temperature. The heating/cooling system is perhaps one of the most important features of a hotel, and it needs updating at Le Germain Quebec. Valet/parking: The parking is an uncovered lot adjacent to the back of the hotel, which can be easily accessed through the lobby. It is effectively self-parking, but you must leave your keys with the attendant because they shuffle the cars around to make other guests' cars available as needed. The lot felt safe. My only complaint was that there was someone picking up the hotel's garbage/dumpsters and they blocked the entrance to the lot.

Google
Great location in old town, close to all the sites and many restaurants. Very comfortable bed and pillows, quiet room with no street noise, air con worked well. Good sized room, very clean, 3 comfortable chairs. Bathroom and shower good. Very helpful and friendly staff. Loved the fresh water and chocolates delivered to room each evening.

Yelp
The room was amazing, the hotel staff went out of their way to accommodate every request, and the atmosphere and relaxing time of just sitting in the lounge with my wife enjoying a drink before dinner was an amazing ending to the day.

Karen S.

Yelp
There were a lot of great reviews for this hotel and that's why I chose it for our first visit to Quebec City. I have to say, I don't get it. The hotel is a boutique as others have mentioned but with a very dark lobby that I imagine is cozy in winter but not so nice in summer. I also did not realize there is no restaurant or bar. Yes, they store limited liquor, beer, wine in the lobby but you have to compete for attention from the front desk to be served. There is also a very limited breakfast buffet. I can't say that the front desk staff was remarkable in any way. The room was nice and clean. We were able to check out better hotel options while we were there.

Larry B.

Yelp
Best boutique hotel in Quebec City. Great location and super friendly staff. I highly recommend this place. We have stayed here four times and look forward to the next.

Yelp
My daughter and I spent 3 days here and it was just wonderful. The staff are helpful and friendly. The hotel is spectacular!! It's convenient to all of the old town and walking everywhere was great. Our room was comfortable and very up to date.

Kimberly S.

Yelp
Absolutely one off the best hotels. Extremely great location and very boutique like. It's cozy and quiet. There is always delicious coffee and fresh fruits available for guests. The front desk staff, especially the guys at night, Alberto and the thin one with shoulder length brown hair. They made suggestions and reservations for us. We also really appreciated the "adult" ambiance. No screaming children at all.
google avatar

Yelp
Unbelievable service! Got reservations at top restaurants for us after we tried and failed! Got us into dog sledding after we were told they were full all week! Exceptional food for breakfast, immediate help for extra towels, etc Beautiful room. Amazing experience! Very personable service

Yelp
Beautiful hotel, small and boutique-sized. Staff are amazing and friendly. Told them before the trip that it was an anniversary trip and got an upgrade to a room with an AMAZING view--large picture windows that gave us a view of the St. Lawrence River (and across to the hill/city on the other side of the river, with a personalized note and some macarons as well as chocolates that were delicious). The room was modern and had nice decor, the bathroom was lovely and had a wonderful shower (the setup heated us up nicely in our winter stay)! We were not able to plug in our fire stick to the TV provided, but had local channels/cable channels to watch. The hotel is very well-located for walking and restaurants in Old Quebec City near the port/water. It's only about a 7-10-minute walk to the Petit Champlain shopping district and a 15 minute walk up to Chateau Frontenac; very doable. There are several restaurants within a a couple of blocks, though, if not wanting to venture farther out, and there is a gas station with small snacks and drinks just around the corner. The only downside is that the buffet spread could have used a little more variety given that it was our daily meal in the morning (it had bread/croissants, delicious cheeses, fruit, jam and rabbit pate spreads, yogurt/oatmeal, boiled eggs, and a daily surprise item in the rotation, like quiche or deli meat). So many carbs and cheese felt really heavy after a few days and I started craving vegetables and salad. However, the food available was delicious and fresh. There is also no in-house restaurant if you're not wanting to go out in the evening, which would have been a nice option in a winter-time visit, but that wasn't a big problem with restaurants within a 1-2 minute walk. Overall, this was a quiet, well-located, upscale hotel in a great area and I really loved my stay there. I would highly recommend this hotel! We had a great experience.

Yelp
Definitely a five-star hotel! This little boutique hotel is located in Old Quebec (lower level). The lobby is wonderful with comfy chairs and a big table in a library setting to enjoy a coffee, a cocktail, breakfast or just to relax. There is a great cappuccino and expresso machine right past the front desk to get gourmet coffee 24/7. The breakfast is continental but really more than enough for a full breakfast as they serve hard boiled eggs, cottage cheese, yogurt, fresh fruits, cereal, breads/bagels, pastries and excellent cheeses. There is also fresh fruit on the room floors and in the lobby 24/7. Our room had the most comfortable king bed with lots of pillows and was very clean. The turn down service, complete with chocolates, bottled water and ice delivery was a nice touch. The staff here is amazing...friendly, helpful, extremely professional. Peter and Mathiue are two that stood out. This hotel is within walking distance to not only Old Quebec, but also upper Quebec and plenty to see and wonderful Europeanesque streets to stroll. There's a funicular to take you up if you don't want to make the climb for a couple dollars. Ask the front desk to recommend bistros. They did an excellent job with their recommendations, and we enjoyed our dinners at Legende and Chez Bouchay. There's valet parking for an additional $25 a night. I loved our stay here and highly recommend this hotel. You can stay at the large and beautiful Fairmont in upper Quebec, but I love this quaint smaller hotel which provided wonderful amenities, outstanding service and a perfect location. Do go to 1608 Wine & Cheese bar in the Fairmont, though. Great views, drinks/wines and charcuterie not to be missed.

Yelp
Super friendly service as soon as I got out of the taxi. Some guy grabbed my bag and opened the door for me. I thought he was just being a gentleman, he was so friendly, but found out he worked there. Concierge, Antoine, at front desk during check-in and gave me great overview of special events as well as geographical layout of Quebec City. Room is beautiful. Modern and rustic. Building used to be a bank. Vault doors still present. Includes free breakfast. Fresh croissants and baguettes. Meat and cheese. Fresh cut fruit. Yogurt, granola, and cereal. Coffee and juice. But they have a self-serve espresso machine you can use 24/7. They also have spa water left out during the day. Hotel is located about half a mile from the Gare du Palais which is the bus and train station. I took a taxi because of luggage, but it is easily walkable. Fare was $6.35, but just gave the guy $10. Hotel is in the Old Port aka Vieux Port, but borders on Old Quebec. I would stay here again.

Yelp
Spent about two weeks at the Hotel Le Germain-Dominion in Quebec City for our honeymoon in August. Hands down, incredible hotel. We arrived late that night and the staff left us a congratulations note with champagne. Beds were amazing, free breakfast included, well-stocked tea and coffee bar, great Wi-Fi, friendly staff (Sara was so awesome at the front desk), within walking distance of just about everything, and clean. It's more on the pricier side, but totally worth it. I would stay with them again.

Yelp
When planning our trip to Quebec, we considered this hotel and Auberge St Antoine. I am really glad we stayed at the Le Germain. The hotel is perfectly located in the old town of Quebec, easy walking distance to all the bars and restaurants. The goosedown comforter and bed was ridiculously comfortable and it was hard to get outta there in the morning. But we were rewarded with a nice breakfast (Regret: Not having one of the giant cappucinos from the espresso machine). Best of all is the concierge. Annie-Karine and Veronique were so helpful both before and during our stay. I could not wait to meet them after so many back-and-forth emails. They provided us with great recommendations for walking around their fair city and scored us the best seats in the house for a Quebec Remparts hockey game at Le Colisee. I highly recommend Le Germain, and please tell Annie-Karine and Veronique that I said bon jour.

Ell C.

Yelp
+ World's most comfortable beds + Incredible cheese plate at breakfast + Free, stable Wi-Fi with no annoying password + Walking distance to museums, galleries, shopping streets and just about everything else + Well-stocked tea and coffee bar to greet you every time you come in, which is especially valuable when you visit Quebec in rainy or cold weather (i.e. visit Quebec) + Did I mention the cheese? PAS to the MAL.

Yelp
Of all the hotels we stayed in during a vacation out of Boston, this one truly wins for coziness, comfort, friendly staff, and ease of parking/getting around the area. We checked in a bit late and it was no problem; the staff were extremely friendly and we were delighted to hear of a bar open till 3am and 24/7 lattes. The room was a great size for two people with thee most comfortable bed ever and a wonderful view! The bathroom had a huge shower and tub with really wonderful soaps and body washes, even makeup remover. We're not quite used to staying in such a luxurious hotel, but this was such a treat. Sadly the hotel was booked for future nights as we tried to get a second night in, but it made it all the more special. Quebec City is a place you can do a LOT of walking and exploring, and it was nice to have a hotel so close by to freshen up or get something in/out of the car. Breakfast was wonderful: jams, various toasts and croissants, hard-boiled eggs, fresh fruit, coffee, and a machine of course to make lattes. The staff are very accommodating to first-time visitors and gave some great recommendations for what to do and when. We will definitely be staying at this hotel again next time we are in Canada!

Yelp
While planning our honeymoon in Quebec, the choice came down to the Frontenac or the Germain-Dominion. I am so glad we went with the Germain. They treat you like the only guests in the place, with a tour of their amenities, a personal welcome (Pro tip: tweet to them before your trip; we had champagne waiting for us!), and a first-rate concierge service. You're about a 20-minute walk maximum from anywhere in the old city, especially if you're willing to spend $2 on the elevator up the hill. The room was very chic, but also very comfortable. Espresso machine in the room (plus complementary cappucinos, lattes and more in the lobby 24/7). Breakfast was continental, but amazing, best croissants and cheeses I had, including at several of the finer restaurants. We liked it so much, we extended our stay by an extra day. All in all, well worth it, especially if you're travelling as a couple. Save "the Castle" for the family; when you want a romantic getaway, call this hotel.

Yelp
I was very pleased with my decision to stay here. The hotel staff was wonderful. The decor modern and appealing, and my room was very clean. The location of the hotel is perfect for a visit to Quebec City. Would definitely stay here again in the future. Thank you for a lovely vacation experience!

Yelp
Hotel Le Germain--4 nights, 5 days -excellent location. Close to everything. Lots of good restaurants around, less than 10 min walk to upper town, 2 min walk to gas station (convenient store for water etc) -free coffee and tea all day in the lobby which is such a great place to relax -free breakfast (delicious) -spacious room size, clean and modern, nice view -made my birthday special by a card and dessert with candles and balloons in our room -friendly staff and good service -easy early check-in and late check out -overall I was very pleased with my stay and I highly recommend this hotel. Very worth it and I will definitely be back

Yelp
Best hotel I've experienced. It is right in old Quebec City so you can leave your car here and never use it again. The rooms are done well and we had a great view of the St. Lawrence seaway and a faux flaming tower at night. The patio in back is a nice spot to have a glass of wine before going out for the night. The breakfast they have here as part of your stay is phenomenal. Pastries, coffee, juices... It is all fresh and super high quality. The concierge pointed up to the best restaurant we've experience too so there was a lot to like about Quebec. We tried to stay a second night but they were booked and the concierge even set us up at another hotel down the street that we also enjoyed. They have locations in Montreal and Toronto as well, so it is fair to say we'll be back.

Yelp
Fantastic boutique hotel in the heart of Old Quebec. Didn't use our car the entire stay. Great dinner recommendations by the hotel staff. Beautiful space, with a delicious breakfast. Rooms were clean, modern and quiet. HIGHLY recommended

Steve C.

Yelp
This is a terrific spot in Old Quebec--very welcoming, warm, and thoughtfully designed. The concierges are helpful and hospitable, with a special shout-out for Antoine. We stayed for three days in early October and would definitely head there again.
google avatar

Yelp
If we could give it six or seven stars we would. It's the hotel of your dreams. Clean, classy and comfortable. Everything about it is soothing and welcoming. Look forward to a fresh delicious breakfast each day and a relaxing patio to sit and plan your day. The staff is very helpful and serving the guests is their number one priority. We love you Dominion!

Yelp
Great hotel. Antoine at the front desk was super helpful. Great pet friendly place, with big rooms, helpful staff, and a great location.

Yelp
Really a fabulous boutique hotel. Gorgeous rooms with modern furnishings and unique small touches, in a lovely area in lower town. Our room had a great view, but I wished the windows would have opened. Very helpful and professional hotel staff. The lobby and common areas were expansive, welcoming, and inviting. Amazing (free) breakfast buffet that exceeded all expectations -- pate, fresh cheeses, croissants, bagels, fresh fruits and yogurt, teas, espresso -- far superior to your expected "continental breakfast." If/when I'm ever back in Quebec City, I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.
google avatar

Cara B.

Yelp
This was my second time in Quebec City, previously this hotel was called Dominion 1912 before Le Germain took it over last year. We had a lovely stay 13 years ago so decided to try the same spot. I am so happy we made this choice. What I loved; continental breakfast is fantastic, great selection of cheese, boiled eggs, yogurt, cereals and fruit galore! Round the clock access to mega lattes and deluxe tea selection, it was all so satisfying we never went to any other of the many well reviewed spots in the city for breakfast or lattes! The free wifi is strong and with a consistent signal, I was able to lots of online work/posting and we were also able to connect to our slingbox at home and stream sports and movies while in our room to the TV. I loved the hotel common space which I spent about 6 hours working from during our stay. I wandered down to the gym for some exercise and was happy to see options of treadmill, elliptical, bike and free weights for my exertion! In our room on the 5th floor Molton Brown toiletries and luscious sheets topped everything off making me not want to leave the room for anything but food and my quick workout. Highly recommend this place, the staff are attentive and helped coordinate a city tour and meals out during our stay. Room service was not disruptive and the staff during breakfast only aim to please.

Yelp
One of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed at - service was wonderful, the river views exceptional, perfect location, and the nicest staff ever. Highly recommend.

Kevin K.

Yelp
We stayed here for 3 nights on our recent visit to Quebec. The staff, hotel, and location are all top notch. First class from the minute you arrive.

Susann E.

Yelp
Very nice boutique hotel. We enjoyed the extra touches of coffee drinks in the lobby 24/7 and cocktails and wine in the afternoon. Also, evening room delivery of ice, water and chocolate. Front desk staff was very helpful with directions and reservations for both tours and restaurants.
google avatar

Eva F.

Yelp
Absolutely perfect. I am all about travel deals, and the majority of great hotels I've snagged for a discount price have always treated me just a little differently--but not this one. I got a Hotels.com discount on this hotel for my honeymoon, and they treated us like rock stars. The hotel itself is beautifully restored, and the complimentary espresso machine and continental breakfast are fantastic. I would go back on the strength of the chocolate croissants alone!
google avatar

Eileen M.

Yelp
Great boutique hotel in the heart of Quebec City. The hotel staff was very accommodating, with lots of great referrals that helped make our stay enjoyable. The rooms are nicely decorated in a contemporary fashion and well appointed. For late night cocktails there's a comfortable common area in the lobby or seating on the patio.

Yelp
Fabulous lounge with great tables to sit at to relax after an afternoon of exploring Québec- the rooms are very small, but comfortable. There is a delicious complimentary breakfast with great croissants, coffee & eggs. The gym in the basement is small but well-stocked with bottled water & towels. Parking is very easy in the back of the hotel- would highly recommend.

Yelp
This is one of the nicest little boutique hotels that I have been to. Everyone is so nice, and so accommodating. The rooms are very modern, cool, but comfy at the same time, it's hard to do that. But really it's the people. Let me convey what the staff did. We were stick with some takeout when a Resty we went to messed up our evening (a whole other story). Anyway we asked for dome plates and silverware to eat our cold leftovers. They sent up the needed dishes etc, but also some cheese, bread, strawberries. Very touching. Just an example of the exemplary service. I won't stay anywhere else when I come back.

Gareth M.

Yelp
The Germain-Dominion had everything we want in a hotel, and all done at the highest level. The rooms are elegant, the beds comfortable, and the front desk staff professional, corteous and discreet. Free wii-fi is available throughout the hotel, and is very reliable. The buffet breakfast is included in the room and is spectacular. The cappuccino machine in the lobby is available free of charge at all times, and gourmet teas are also provided. Room service, should you need it, is supplied from Echaudé, a very fine restaurant one block away. The final touch that made this the best experience we've ever had in a hotel, was how totally quiet this part of the Lower Town is at night - we flt we were deep in the countryside. If you are spending three full days in the city, you might prefer to stay in the Upper Town, as you would probably spend two out of three days in that part. However, returning to this oasis of calm at night was a joy.

Yelp
Lovely place - just perfect for a weekend getaway! Very classy and upscale feeling without being stuffy or uncomfortable or insanely priced. Room was VERY clean and a good size with a nice view overlooking the St Lawrence River. The bed is extremely comfortable and provided a great rest. Location is outstanding... you valet the car and never have to deal with it again - everything is walking distance. The folks at the counter are so helpful and very friendly overall. The free coffee service in the lobby is wonderful - instant caps and espressos 24/7! Breakfast was perfect - light and plenty of options. Only thing I would have changed was to ask for a room with a full bath - I assumed it came with the room but we found out later that some rooms have only showers (which is what we had) and some have both showers and baths. Something to keep in mind if you are in the mood for a good soaking after a long day of walking and shopping.

Steve A.

Yelp
I always stop at the Germain Dominion when in Quebec. Exceptional offer, as it always is at other Germain establishment (i.e.Toronto, calgary). The chain redifine what shoud be a hotel stay. Beds are awesomely comfortable. The rooms are modern and classy. Glass showers in every room. Got to be an idiot to get scammed at the chateau Frontenac when you can stay at the Dominion. Btw, no one is paying me to say that!

L Gordon M.

Yelp
Great place. Cool rooms, comfortable, quiet. Great complementary breakfast with fabulous espresso machine.

Mimi L.

Yelp
This hotel gets 5 stars because of Antoine Bureau, Concierge at the front desk. The location makes this an ideal hotel to stay in while in Quebec City. You can walk everywhere! Good breakfasts are included daily. You can also enjoy good quality coffee (fully automated coffee machine for lattes and espresso), in addition to David's tea all day. We stayed for four nights starting June 30 to celebrate Canada Day. The weather was wet and cold on the first 2 days. On our first evening after dinner, we sat by the fireplace and Antoine introduced himself and proceeded to ask about our day. Antoine is a great ambassador for Quebec City and the hotel, he proceeded to tell us about the local made products including maple flavoured whisky. Antoine gave us our first taste of the Neige, a local ice cider, we are hooked. Antoine continued to tell us something about Quebec City each day. It is always great to experience outstanding service. Antoine made sure we took in all the local festivities including Quebec City's birthday on July 3. Thank you!

Rosemary D.

Yelp
Just had the good fortune of spending 5 days at this hotel. The property is lovely and the staff are fantastic. And the breakfast! If you leave hungry it's your fault. I just loved the self service coffee machine. I was amazing. The rooms are quiet. The bed was the most comfortable I have ever encountered in a hotel. I don't know how the place is constructed but we never heard a sound from the neighbors. The Molton and Brown bath products are amazing. The only thing that I did not care for was the light, or lack of it, in our room. The ceiling was painted black which I did not care for. We traveled with our dog. She was provided with her own bed, bowls and treats. The front desk staff clearly explained the rules for pet guests which was much appreciated. The location is not far from the major highway so you do not have to negotiate the narrow streets to get to the place. Having the parking lot on the property is a plus and not the norm in Quebec City. They also have bikes available for guest. Don't let the price scare you away. It is great value for the money and worth the treat.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel, beautiful room with view of the sunset, beautiful croissant for breakfast, at a very competitive price. We were very satisfied with the room. The hotel is close to the pier and quai, a bit away from the most touristy part of old Quebec, among some art galleries and restaurants. We walked to the market, the pier (for a special Cirque du Soleil show for the national holiday), to the tourist area, up the hill to the Chateau Frontenac, to the Citadel and Plains of Abraham, and to the capitol area. Nothing was further than 35 minutes (and I don't walk fast). A lot of stairs to climb to the upper city! Free Wi-Fi, and guides and advice for the city. They push the higher end restaurants (probably their clientele), but other than that no complaints. They help you make coffee with the fancy machine, but out a varied and great full breakfast (hard-cooked eggs, cheeses, yogurt and cereal, breads, and even rabbit confit). The room was large, bathroom elegant and clean, and parking (for a fee) right in the back so no waiting for your car!
