Great Hotel, great service. ||We had to postpone our stay because we had a breakdown with a motorcycle. service was great, helpful and always absolute professional. i would recommend this hotel always.

Rather expensive for a 3star hotel considering that the rooms could well do with an update. €17 per person for breakfast is rather too much compared to similar French hotels. No space at all in w.c.

We had an excellent stay here as a party of three blokes on a cheese and wine trip. The parking was easy (right outside), and the welcome was warm from the English speaking front desk. We enjoyed a couple of beers downstairs before heading off to their Restaurant du Fromage for an outstanding meal. The rooms were good, perhaps in need of a refresh, but with a belly full of cheese it didn’t really matter. Breakfast was also immense, I recommend it highly. Cheers.

We had a really pleasant stay at this hotel on our trip around Eastern France. Although only 3*, it was better than some of the 4* places we also stayed at. Rooms are somewhat basic but comfortable (could maybe do with a shower curtain to stop floor getting wet). It’s worth getting a balcony room to enjoy the stunning views and some evening sun! It was warm and there is no a/c, but it was possible to sleep with the balcony doors open and we had a good sleep. The Restaurant du Fromage just next door is great (it featured on Rick Stein’s programme!), and breakfast the next morning in the main hotel restaurant was well organized and good standard. Would recommend this hotel and location for a short stay, and we would return if in the area again.

We had a really enjoyable stay in Beau Site, one of the three hotels of Hotel Le Lac. Even though Beau Site is 2 stars, it was a good size room, with nice bed, shower and toilet, clean and comfortable. We had dinner and breakfast in Le Lac restaurant. The restaurant is very beautiful, with view of the setting sun over the lake. The food was fabalous, after the main course, I went for the cheese trolley followed by the dessert trolley. Had four kind of cheese and tasted five desserts! Really yummy! Service was excellent!

I prefer smaller hotels so this was a bit large for my taste. However, it is well run with friendly staff and the views towards the lake, if you are on that side of the hotel, are attractive. Dinner was fine and reasonably priced and breakfast was exceptionally good with delicious fresh bread, home made jams and a wide range of other options. Oddly, for these days, our room only had a bath and no shower at all.

We stayed here for one night and found ourselves wishing that we had longer to explore the very pretty region. The hotel is in the main street and some of the rooms offer magnificent views of the lake and countryside. Our room had a balcony and overlooked the lake, so we were very lucky. The receptionist when we checked in was really pleasant and helpful and did not deride my appalling French! We had not booked for dinner (I was secretly pleased about this as the restaurant looked a little starchy and old fashioned) so she kindly booked us in at the fondue restaurant next door. It appears that the same family owns both establishments but it was still very kind of her. Our room was clean and had a separate shower room and WC. The furnishings were out dated but, in our opinion, just made it more quirky. The bed was very comfortable and we slept really well. Breakfast was plentiful but there was rather too much cake for my tastes. It was also very expensive but we were a captive audience!||We would stay here again but would probably look elsewhere for our breakfast.

The hotel restaurant was fully booked when we booked due in no small way to a coach party, so we were directed to one of their other eateries next door, Reataurant Du Frmage, which turned out to be rather pleasant. Our room was creaky but roomy, akthough with the 18 stairs plus the lift to the 2nd floor was a bit too much for my wife. Breakfast i the hotel restaurant was enjoyable with a view of the lake.
