Hôtel Le Manoir Les Minimes

Absolutely loved this hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful and attentive. We arrived early by private driver and were greeted with a very warm, welcoming reception. Room was not yet ready and we had a private tour about an hour after we arrived. They took our luggage and put it away and also took it to our room. Lady that was helping us ( I unfortunately do not remember her name) made us a great snack and gave us great recommendations for dinner and also called for reservations. Our room was so nice ( it was one of the 2 suites) the suite was large, very clean and had a huge bathroom. The staff deserve a huge 5 star rating. This place is a must if staying in Amboise.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights in October and couldn't have been happier. Our accomodation was a two room spacious suite with beautiful views of the surrounding area including the Castle d'Amboise. Each morning we enjoyed a good breakfast downstairs before heading out to explore the Loire Valley. Everyone who works here is kind, helpful and friendly. We are already talking about returning next year. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

This hotel is a little gem within walking distance to the town square and the Amboise castle. The staff is very accommodating and our room was lovely. Everything included in the breakfast was fresh & delicious. I would like to send a special thank you to Ingrid for coordinating the delivery of the travel documents that we left behind. We hope to visit Amboise in the future and would stay here again.

We stayed there in October 2024. Had a room in the pavilion, not in the main hotel. The room was very nice. It was spacious with a little sitting area. Good view of the chateau. Was very quiet and comfortable. The staff were excellent, tending to every question and request professionally and courteously. Great location too. Walking distance to the town centre. I would definitely stay there again.

We stayed at the Manoir as it was ideally suited for walking to the town and had good parking facilities. Amboise is ideally situated for visiting surrounding Chateau. We had a very comfortable room and the staff (especially Marine) were very helpful. Breakfast was good but the fruits selection was limited. Our only complaint was with the Wi-Fi and as we were staying for 4 nights we had to log on to the Wi-Fi every 24 hours. Most inconvenient

Excellent experience. Hotel is beautiful, clean, great location, fantastic service. We were in room 41, which is a 3 unit(?) building separate from the main hotel building. Our room was quiet and spacious. The bed and linens all top quality. Big shower with rainforest shower head, great water pressure and plenty of hot water. We did not opt for the breakfast, it was a short walk into town. Ample parking, which is secured at night, very safe. I would highly recommend staying here, we liked everything about this hotel.

Really elegant hotel with great parking. Service was elegant. Room comfy. Breakfast good. I recommend having a glass of Chinon red in the courtyard out front. Very short walk to old town which has great restaurants, chateau. Lovely place to stay in the Loire valley. Room up top (we had) has Loire view.

Before I started this review I had to look and see if there actually were negative reviews posted because that is how nice this lovely hotel it. I found some of those negative reviews and my only observation about those is that they are from people who might be impossible to please. This hotel is lovely, extremely comfortable and staffed by people thoroughly committed to meeting your every expectation. We had a wonderful stay and highly, highly recommend to any travelers coming to the Loire Valley. You will not be disappointed.

We stayed one night in a 2nd floor attic charm room. We had a beautiful view of the Chateau d'Amboise and the Loire River. There are exposed beams in the room and the ceiling is slanted so the configuration is a bit unusual. I was worried one of us would hit our head on something at some point but it wasn't an issue. My husband is about 6'3" and was fine. If you're much taller, I'd probably avoid the attic rooms. The hotel is great - probably one of my favorite that I've stayed at. The bed was extremely comfortable and the service was very friendly. There were plenty of in room amenities and it was spacious compared to many other hotels. I was a bit concerned about the friendliness going into our stay due to reviews I'd read. We aren't "fancy" people and I was worried that we would feel out of place. It was definitely a nice hotel and a bit more upscale but I never felt awkward being there. The price was also very good in comparison to other hotels we stayed at (realizing that Paris is obviously more expensive than smaller cities elsewhere) so this felt like a real bargain! 5 stars.

Beautiful hotel and rooms, fantastic beds and bedding, and outstanding service. The staff couldn't have been more helpful or polite and our four day stay was wonderful. And don't miss their tomato soup - it is the best I've ever had. They sell it in their little grocery bistro which has everything you need for lunch or a light dinner as an alternative to a restaurant. They'll serve it for you nice and hot in their lounge, on the patio, or in your room.

Fantastic place beautiful rooms and grounds. It has it all location and location, you can walk to everything from here. This is a incredible property.

On very short trips, we tend to splurge on the hotels. That said, this hotel is one of the nicest in our experience. We got a large room with a view of the chateau, and it is a brief walk to the town center. The staff was always friendly and polite. The common areas of the hotel have nice furniture and there is even a harp in one room. We were able to store our luggage before checking in and after checking out.

I booked a room at this hotel for a wedding I had in Amboise. I booked the room about a month before the wedding. I had conversations via email with the staff who seemed friendly, however, they NEVER told me prior to my trip there was a curfew and check-in had to be before 10pm. I do not have an international cell phone plan, and they claimed to have called me to see when I was planning on checking in, but I did not receive anything. I flew into Paris, picked up my rental car and there was terrible traffic. I arrived to Amboise around 1:30am. I rang the doorbell and the gentleman refused to let me in. I explained that I had no where else to stay, and I would sleep on the streets if he did not let me in. He said that was not his problem. I called again, and they refused entry again. I explained that it was just me (a female) and one other girl. Two young American girls who don't speak French. I was scared. I started crying and BEGGING for them to let me in. The staff hesitantly opened the gate, snarled at us, berated us the entire walk up to our room and informed me that I was not allowed to use any of the amenities including any running water because I would "wake the guests". Mind you that includes the toilet, showers and sink. I could not use the bathroom, could not brush my teeth or shower for fear that I would get kicked out. At this point it was 2am. I was tired but stayed up looking for another hotel and booked it. I checked out when I got up the next morning, did not touch anything in the hotel and upon check out I informed them that I was not happy with the way I was being treated and I wanted my money back. The staff said this was not their problem (again), and charged my card the entire $400 even though I did not stay the second night. Ruined my first time in France. Do yourself a favor, DO NOT STAY HERE. Your money is better spent anywhere else in the world.
