Hotel Le Méditérranée

It looks nice and cute from the outside and the setting is really nice indeed, but the rooms do not reflect that. I can live with simple and authentic housing, but this seems unnecessarily neglected. Cheap, at times dirty, old furniture and old, broken mattresses that make it hard to sleep, holes etc all over the walls. With a little touch up and refurbishing this could be very nice, but at the moment I would not come again.

Incredible host, always available and extremely polite and well mannered. I am quite frustrated by the negative reviews; I guess they thought they booked a 5 star hotel and forgot the price they paid. Rapport qualité/prix is unmatched. Great breakfast with warm croissants. I would come back again!

We loved our holiday at the hotel, there was a little garden in front of our room, we used it well. Breakfast was very good. Little rooms, but very cosy! Friendly staff!

I stayed for two nights in this lovely hotel in the center of town, just paces away from the church. The charm with flowers, small posters, , lovely decore and hundreds of nice details to watch gave a cosy and homely athmosphere. The hostess was very welcoming and took good care of me, showing interst in me and giving good advice for visits in the area. The room was nicely furnished , had all I needed for a pleasant stay, and allthough in the middle of town it was calm and quiet at night. A lovely terrace with flowers and a pergola overhung with scented flowers was an ideal setting for a lazy afternoon. This is surely were I will stay the next time I go to Saintes-Marias-de-la-Mer also!

The Hotel Mediterranee is located in the very center of Santes Maries de la Mer, which restricts vehicle access during the day to open a pedestrian only zone. As a result, parking was an experience, in the tiny private parking spot owned by the hotel. Basically, leave your car and forget it, which is fine given the relaxed atmosphere suitable for strolling around the beach town. The rooms were somewhat small, but comfortable. We enjoyed a direct view of the cathedral from our room. Breakfast was included, out in the patio, cafe, French bread (of course) with jams and jellies.||The price is fair, therefore, the hotel is quite popular, so reserve in advance.

This hotel is in a perfect location near many restaurants and the beach. If you don't have a car and took a cab or used a driver, this is a great place to stay. The outside is very charming with potted plants/flowers and a mediterranean style. I didn't stay overnight, so I can't comment on that, but we went in and looked at the rooms in case we go back. It isn't fancy, but it's very sweet. The people were nice. If you want a place that's away from town and more in the countryside, this isn't where you want to be. If you want to walk out the door and have a choice of restaurants, the beach, etc, this is where to go.

What a charming little hotel with beautiful flowers flowing over the front porch......... This is where it all ends. ||Upon entering we were greeted with a smile, by a lady who we think was the cleaner. She was helpful enough but could not answer technical questions.||Our room was OK, even though the leaflet at reception said that the rooms were recently renovated, the paintwork was chipping and the overall hotel looks a bit tired.||With regards to the two people who we assume were the owners, well our advise would be to change jobs. They did not introduce themselves, with or without a smile, they were more interested in our payment. When we asked about the wifi in our room, we were told that it does not reach to the room we were allocated. So heads up, do not book Room 8, 9 or 10 if you need wifi. It will not work, and their only solution is to go downstairs to the breakfast room. With a flea in my ear, I was told 'It is free!'. In other words, what should I expect.||Our holiday mood ended abruptly, and we were more than happy to leave early, without paying 7 euros per person for breakfast.

This hotel is situated in a nice quite road with a lot of restaurants in Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer. The quality of the hotel is fine and it's clean and good situated in the village. Do not expect anything special and you can count on a good bed, proper breakfast and a clean room. Please note that all rooms are in one house so you are able to hear your neighbours get home.
