😊: Our stay was very comfortable. The decor is tasteful and good quality. The air conditioning worked well and the bed was comfortable. The location is very convenient if you are visiting the Cave of Font de Gaume nearby. There are restaurants within walking distance. Parking is available at the hotel. Breakfast is served in a beautiful restaurant in a separate building from the hotel, with a lovely old mill beside it.. 😢: The walls between the rooms are quite thin so you can hear people next door, However, with the air conditioning on, it was fine..

😊: The room was clean and comfortable. The surroundings are perfect for a peaceful calming stay with a stream running through the garden. Breakfast was good, varied selection.. 😢: The weather wasn't great and the room was cool. The bathroom and toilet were cold.

Quaint hotel in a beautiful garden setting. Restaurant unfortunately wasn't open but pizza place 5 minutes walk away was fantastic. And the nearby patisserie was also great. This location is also in the middle of a region where there are many places to explore within a 2 hour drive. We went to the subterranean river experience which was outstanding too. Just beware there are lots of stairs even if you use the elevators.

The hotel is in a lovely, picturesque, peaceful location. You can sit outside by the stream and watch the ducks and damselflies. The building itself, an old watermill still with water wheel, is characterful. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was optional (paid extra) for our stay - it is a simple French style breakfast - again you can sit outside on the terrace by the stream. The owners are friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for exploring the prehistoric art sites of the Vezere valley: Lascaux, Font de Gaume, Combarelles, Cap Blanc and Rouffignac are all within 20 minutes drive. The hotel is in the heart of Les Eyzies village, only a couple of minutes walk from the superb Museum of Prehistory and several nice restaurants. Highly recommended.

The setting of this hotel is absolutely fabulous. Near the water, in relative peace and quiet. Staff is also very friendly, of you ignore the boorish male receptionist. Unfortunately, the potential of the hotel and its surroundings are not used to their full potential. We booked a premium room, that must have been the smallest premium we ever stayed in. No amenities, no coffee machine, nothing. They even provided plastic cups instead of glass ones on the sink. No shower, nor a support for the showerhead in the bath. The bathroom was once renovated, but still had the cut pipes and semi-rotten wooden furniture holding the sink (we bumped it once, and wooden pieces just fell to the ground). Breakfast is served in what was once the bar and is very overpriced. 12 euro/pp for a real poor man's breakfast. We only took it once, and enjoyed breakfast for half the price at the bakery just 2 minutes down the road. ||This hotel and it surroundings has so much potential but is unfortunately mismanaged. It has a beautifull terrace and lawn, but it took us 3 nights to figure out you could buy drinks from the breakfast room to enjoy your evening near the water.

As part of a cycle trip to Marseille we had to have a parcel delivered to the hotel and the staff were very helpful in signing for the parcel and leaving it in our room. They went even further and agreed to wash our cycling gear which was such a nice gesture. Being set below the main road next to a stream it's a very nice place to relax in the evening yet a short walk from the town to find dinner if needed. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh. The room was clean and comfortable. Highly recommended.

Beautiful location near a stream and surrounded by nature. The staff was really nice and professional. The experience was magical and the rooms are really clean. Breakfast was also suitable for people who are celiac, you just need to ask in advance.

As with many others, we chose Moulin de la Beune for its proximity to Font-du-Gaume and other prehistoric caves. That turned out to be quite handy, as we were at the ticket office at 7:40 and were seats 7 and 8. Seeing all 3 caves was the highlight of our trip.||||But we also loved our time sitting in the relaxing chairs by the river, especially at happy hour when we could order wine or beer to enjoy. Because you are below the road and by the creek, road noise is almost non-existent. I slept so well every one of our 6 nights here.||||Here's my example of great service. We arrived about 5 pm and were very hungry. We asked if it was possible to have a cheese plate with our beer and wine and were politely informed that the restaurant was not open yet. But lo and behold, they raided the breakfast buffet and brought us cheese, ham, and crackers to eat as we sat outside with our drinks. That was truly above and beyond and was greatly appreciated.||||We stayed 5 and half days and wished we had at least 3 more. Les Eyzies is very centrally located and we were as busy as we wanted to be every day.||||The only thing I would change would be to update the bathrooms. In our room the shower was handheld and there was no place to hang it up high. There was also no curtain or door and I was afraid I would spray everywhere if I picked it up. But I managed with a little help from my husband and it did not detract at all from our visit.||||I would definitely stay here again if we were so fortunate as to return to the Dordogne.
