Hotel Le Nouveau Monde

We spent four nights at Nouveau Monde at the end of August while visiting Saint Malo. The location is perfectly situated and we enjoyed pleasant strolls to the intra muros during the day and evening either along the promenade or on the beach. The hotel was perfectly clean and the staff were excellent. Parking underground was easy with access to the elevators straight to the hotel. The breakfast buffet was well stocked and enjoyable. My only gripe was that our 'sea view' room had a balcony on the side of the hotel. If I would return, I'd opt for a non sea-view as it wasn't worth the extra cost in my opinion.

Found our room to be just what we wanted. Modern, clean and well appointed to a high standard. Great to have a balcony and a port view ( without paying extra for a sea view). Service was good. Sebastian gave us a warm welcome. Restaurant staff working hard at breakfast. Breakfast has plenty of choice and of a good standard. Easy walking distance to the old town and port. Would recommend.

We booked a 5th floor room and had a corner room with great views out front and to the east. It was fascinating watching the tides go in and out so much. The terrace was very nice but the seagulls made their presence known. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. We had the buffet breakfast one morning and it was excellent--well worth the price ahead of a long train ride. Which reminds me, the hotel's location is very good: Not far from the train station and a short walk to the walled old city of Saint-Malo. We checked in on my birthday and the hotel left me a note and yummy box of chocolates!

My husband and I had a magnificent experience at this hotel. Our marriage and reception took place nearby and we selected Le Nouveau Monde for us to stay for three nights along with family and friends. The hotel manager and staff all made us feel exceptionally welcomed by preparing our rooms early and getting to know our party. They decorated our room with sentimental notes and gifts which was a special touch. We also hosted a welcome aperitif with food and wine the night before at Le Comptoir bar, which was a fantastic setting with excellent food. Their breakfast is also not to be missed as it is exceptional. All of our guests loved the hotel, its location and beautiful view. Overall, we are incredibly grateful for the kindness, hospitality, and professionalism of the hotel. We look forward to returning on our anniversary for years to come!

I wanted to give this hotel a much better rating but could not given the experience we had. Pros: The location is great, the rooms are spacious and beds comfortable. The live music during cocktail hour in the lounge was most welcome. The breakfast buffet was expansive and first class. Cons: the air conditioning was not working in our room - they couldn't send an engineer for over a day. we had to sleep with the windows open which then meant we had to listen to street noise and light pouring in the room. The woman at the front desk was less than helpful and said she couldn't credit my stay because it would mean she would have to get her managers approval. Very unacceptable and extremely disappointing for a Marriott property.

We stayed here for two nights in a deluxe double room and it was wonderful!||The hotel is right by the beach which is beautiful and seems endless, and away from all the crowds in the walled city but not to far to walk there if you wish to.||Had a really friendly welcome from the reception staff and they were lovely and helpful throughout our stay.||Our room was on the top floor and it was amazing - really spacious with a separate seating area and a balcony with a lateral sea view. It was all very nicely furnished with plenty of of storage space too. The bathroom was also pretty large with both bath and walk in shower. It all made for such a comfortable, relaxing stay!||The spa area was on the same level as our room and the pool and hamman were great, we used them every day and mostly had them to ourselves.||Breakfast was really good, such a lot of choice of high quality products and the view from the restaurant over the bay was stunning.||The bar also had the same gorgeous view with a good selection of drinks and service and it had a very relaxing ambience.||We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and wouldn't hesitate to return.

You can't beat the location! We loved it because it was not in the old city (which can get very crowded), but right on the water and close enough to easily walk to the old city. We had a room with a balcony (partial view of the sea which was plenty). The sunset was spectacular from our balcony. The restaurant was expensive (we had lunch) but superb!

We stayed in this hotel in July and we had an amazing time. A friend who lives in cancale recommended me this hotel and I was not disappointed. I have been to Saint Malo before but it was the first time with my mother. She enjoyed every minute of her stay and wants to go back. We had an amazing room facing the water. The room was very nice and comfy. The hotel has a great pool, easy to access for people with disabilities. We had breakfast at the hotel and I enjoyed the regional products. A must when you are visiting a new region. It’s a beautiful hotel, very close to downtown only a few minutes walking. Overall we loved this hotel and we will definitely go back!

We visited St. Malo from the USA for five days for a business trip/couples getaway. The hotel surpassed our expectations. Room: spacious for a European hotel. Felt very clean-- housekeeping did a wonderful job. The view of the ocean is one of the best features. The rooms have balconies with seating. Shower: truly one of the best shower experiences. Large, spacious shower with wonderful water pressure. Nice bath amenities including luxury soaps and a towel warmer Pool and Spa: We did not utilize the spa but thoroughly enjoyed the pool area. It was intimate, clean and relaxing. The water is more luke warm bathtub temperature vs. an American hot tub. Location: 10 minute walk to old town, 8 minutes to the conference center and 15 minute walk to the train station. Restaurant: The hotel restaurant has a breakfast for $20 euros. This is the best breakfast option we could find with the most options. We tried a breakfast at a restaurant in Old town and settled for a sub-par breakfast with toast and eggs for $42 euros. Just eat at the hotel. Also one of the few places that serves traditional American coffee. Staff: Helpful and friendly. All English speaking.
