Pashmina (Val Thorens, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes) 1 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"When Val Thorens, in the French Alps, calls itself “the roof of Europe,” it’s a reference to the fact that it’s the highest-elevation ski resort on the continent. But it’s not just the altitude that makes it special — it’s part of Les Trois Vallées, which means access to what might be the most abundant wealth of ski slopes in the world. Hotel Pashmina Le Refuge sounds like just the sort of place you’d like to wrap yourself up in at the end of a day on the valleys’ mountainsides, and upon further inspection, it turns out it’s aptly named indeed." - Tablet Hotels

Another unforgettable skiing holiday at Hôtel Pashmina, which truly feels like a home away from home. The staff is exceptional, always going the extra mile to make every guest feel comfortable and welcome. The hotel perfectly balances a relaxed yet luxurious atmosphere—never pretentious, yet indulgent at every moment. The dining experience is outstanding, from the fantastic restaurant to the heavenly breakfast, where Jean-Michel ensures a perfect start to the day. Evenings are just as special, with a fantastic bar, live music, expertly crafted cocktails, and an impressive wine selection—far beyond what you’ll find anywhere else. Our XL Junior Suite (thank you, Dana!) was just perfect—quiet, incredibly comfortable, and offering a stunning view from the balcony. The spa and outdoor jacuzzi provide ultimate relaxation after a day on the slopes. The ski shop is top-notch, with knowledgeable and helpful staff (thank you, Robin!). Hôtel Pashmina offers the perfect combination of ski-in/ski-out convenience, relaxation, and luxury. There’s truly no other place like it. We can’t wait to return!

Unforgettable Luxury Ski Experience at Hôtel Pashmina – Val Thorens From the moment we inquired about our stay at Hôtel Pashmina, the experience was nothing short of outstanding. The concierge team went above and beyond—not only during the booking process but also leading up to our arrival, ensuring that every detail was perfectly arranged. Their proactive communication, attention to detail, and willingness to accommodate our requests made us feel like VIP guests before we even set foot in Val Thorens. Upon arrival, we were greeted with genuine warmth and efficiency, setting the tone for an unforgettable stay. Our room was spectacular, with breathtaking panoramic views of the snow-covered peaks. The luxurious touches, spacious layout, and cozy yet refined alpine decor made it the perfect retreat after a day on the slopes. Every morning, we indulged in the incredible breakfast spread, which offered an exceptional selection of fresh, high-quality ingredients, from artisanal pastries and local cheeses to made-to-order eggs and fresh juices. The staff’s attentiveness and friendly service made the experience even more enjoyable. After skiing, the spa was pure bliss—a haven of relaxation with its inviting sauna, steam room, and outdoor hot tub with stunning mountain views. It was the perfect way to unwind and recharge before enjoying the hotel’s top-notch dining and hospitality. Hôtel Pashmina is the definition of five-star mountain luxury, seamlessly blending warmth, service, and elegance. Whether it was the seamless concierge assistance, the incredible breakfast, the world-class spa, or the stunning rooms, every aspect of our stay was flawless. We cannot wait to return!

We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at Pashmina. Our room was beautiful and kept immaculate every day. One small improvement could be a softer bed, but overall, it was very comfortable. Breakfast was great, though adding a live cooking station, such as an egg station, could enhance the experience. Nonetheless, the food was delicious. ||Jan-Micheal, who was present every morning, really made our days special. On my birthday, he surprised me with a candle and a little cake, which was such a thoughtful gesture. Pauline, the concierge, was also excellent in communication and always approachable. All the staff were incredibly friendly, adding to the welcoming atmosphere of the hotel.||The hotel exudes a wonderful ambiance and is definitely recommended. The entire place is beautifully lit in the evening, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The spa is a fantastic addition, and the hot tub, where drinks are even served, made for a truly special experience.

We stayed in the igloo pod with Nordic bath and it was just amazing. The igloo was very comfortable and warm, really practical and well thought through - including a modern cosy bathroom. Nordic bath with view on the slopes after skiing was fabulous. Hotel staff was so friendly and efficient, service was really personalised - well above what we had seen in the resort. Breakfast was excellent with many organic options and home made dishes. We hope to be back soon!

The room was spacious and clean (junior suite). We had both breakfast and dinner in the hotel. During the dinner everyday you could chose from different dishes - all of the were really good - we highly recommend that option. The spa was also nice with good massages. The only thing is that are near swimming pool was quite small and sometimes pretty crowded. Staff was really attentive and helpful.

The hotel location is perfect - 2 steps and you are on the piste. Accommodation standard, décor, cleanliness all first class. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and were always friendly and helpful. Spa facilities were great at the end of a skiing day. This is our 3rd visit - we will be back!

Will write in bullet points to try and be constructive |I went with 18 year old daughter both competent skiers |Location great|Facilities spa, pool, gym excellent |Reception staff and drivers fantastic |Dining staff fantastic |Room and facilities excellent |Ski room and lockers excellent |Food was good quality but all in all disappointing. Limited choice in evenings and breakfast buffet fairly limited. I stayed at club med and the food choices , variety and quality are far better. |The one thing that was really disappointing is that having paid over £6000 for the 2 of us everything is extra and quite money grabbing. Prices quite ridiculous so we didn’t use the bar and went out most evenings. It boasts Michelin star but again that restaurant is extra as are all experiences on offer. They even charge a commission to book ski passes. |I can’t complain about the quality but value for money club med is far superior and a more relaxed experience.|Entertainment poor . |I feel bad critiquing as staff could not have done more for us but having stayed in 30 plus ski hotels not sure this was for us.

This is probably the best hotel I have stayed in when skiing, the hotel itself was top class with the staff from reception, porters, spa, bar and dining area very friendly, very professional and would at a drop of a hat do anything to make your experience better. We arrived at 11pm and they organised a meal for us which was very appreciated. The rooms were spacious and to a high standard. The hotels position was great, right on the piste and the ski lockers were top class - all in all I could fault anything on my stay and will be looking to return again in the future.
