Le Clos Marcel (Duingt, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"This stylish modern boutique hotel is set directly on the shores of Lac d’Annecy, and while its natural environment would be difficult to improve upon, its high-design modernist-inspired interiors put forth a convincing effort. Le Clos Marcel offers an experience of rare tranquility, helped along by its expansive gardens and its sauna and hot tub. Family-owned, it’s also marked by a personal touch, even if the rooms feel more professional than homespun. Despite its small size it’s also home to an impressive restaurant, a contemporary bistro which prides itself on seasonal ingredients from the best local producers." - Tablet Hotels

There is something very special about Le Petit Latraz. |It might be the direct access to the lake, the mix of sun and shade in the garden, the super helpful staff, an excellent breakfast and dinner experience….. All of this is true, but when taken together, it is one of the most relaxing, special places we have ever been too. |The room safe was too small and unable to take a tablet, rooms on the first floor require you to carry your suitcase up what is a dark staircase area, but I’m nit-picking as this place is a real treat.

Overall, our stay was just fine. The location on the lake cannot be beat. The rooms were just alright, the bathroom shower door wouldn't close so it flooded our floor a bit. The restaurant was closed on Monday-Wednesday as it is the off season. I would stay again during the summer months, but find somewhere else on the off season. I'm not sure it is worth the cost while it's too cold to enjoy the lake.

The front of house was amazing, friendly and very accommodating. Incredible setting, Lake frontage with ample sun bathing area and outdoor seating with a back drop of the alpes. Rooms are clean and tidy with very comfortable beds. Can't wait to come back.

Amazing little boutique hotel with a lawn right to the water with a dock for swimming. Location was perfect and the private beach was very relaxing. We based ourselves here for a cycling trip. The lake was so inviting after a long day on the bikes. You were able to get high into the mountains or stay lower and toodle around the lake. The hotel accommodated us for an additional night in a different room, both rooms were lovely but the room facing the water was understandably superior. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Towels are provided for the lake and you can book your own private 45 minutes in the hot tub and sauna. The only negative to the hotel was the limited dinner menu. The food was just ok and due to the limited menu, did not entice you to come back a second time which meant you had to leave resort for dinner. We will definitely return to this little paradise.

We stayed in the hotel in August last and had a really good experience. The hotel is in a great spot with gardens running down to the lake. There was loads of parking and the journey into the centre of Annecy was easy. Everyone on reception was friendly and efficient both on checking in and checking out. Our room had a good view of the lake with a small balcony and was comfortable. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was very good with nice food, pleasant atmosphere and good service. We would have eaten there on our second night but unfortunately the restaurant was closed. Breakfast was fine too. Hopefully we will get a chance to return next year.

We stayed here for 5 nights and were very pleased with our choice. A superb setting on the shoreline of Lake Annecy with lawns stretching down to the lake.||We had an air conditioned ground floor lake view classic room, which had a lovely bathroom with a large walk in shower. There was a comfortable bed and a proper kettle!! It was nice to make a coffee or tea and sit out on the terrace in the morning. If a small fridge for milk etc could be added, it would be another good thing.||Not really breakfast people, we usually had brunch with our children who were staying on a campsite in Sevrier.||We hope to return to Hotel clos Marcel next year. The layout and design, both inside and in the grounds felt very hyggelig as promised! |😊 ||||

4 star location Very good lunch staff Variety of menu choices: 2 stars (the choice being so limited that you can't have lunch and dinner) so we discovered l’Abbaye restaurant gastronomic in Talloires, a few kilometers away, for dinner! (Fabulous) Room cleanliness: 2 stars (the dust under the bed hasn't been done for a long time) and the toilet bowl and shower ...no comment The Room soundproofing: Who had the good idea to put a table soccer in the hallway leading to the rooms? 2 people were playing early in the morning ... we could fully participate in their game from our room! It's a good thing we were staying in this hotel at the low season hen the hotel is empty, I can't imagine the noise when the place is full. What a shame! For all these details that make the difference, we won't be coming back !
