This hotel is excellent. The staff were extremely accommodating. The staff makes sure you are well taken care of. The staff were friendly, warm, and welcoming. They brought us butter cookies every day. The breakfast was fantastic. The location was great. City center with 3 Christmas markets within walking distance. I loved this hotel and would go back.

For a 5-night journey through Luxembourg, the location of Hôtel Le Place d'Armes is simply unbeatable. The hotel itself is structurally fascinating—a cozy labyrinth of rooms and corridors that connect in a way that preserves the distinct character of a historic "grand house." It feels intimate rather than corporate. While the property has undeniable charm, the age of the building does show, particularly in the bathrooms which are in need of some maintenance and updates. However, the genuine comfort of the room largely overshadowed these signs of wear. What truly defined our stay was the service recovery. We experienced an incident where a bathroom window shattered during housekeeping while we were out. The staff’s reaction was exemplary—professional, swift, and apologetic. They immediately moved us to a new room, turning a potential disaster into a demonstration of skilled hospitality. Dining was a pleasure as well. The breakfast buffet, though limited in variety, prioritized freshness and quality over quantity. The bar is a highlight, offering a sophisticated atmosphere with highly skilled bartenders. A crucial tip for winter travelers: If the Christmas Market is active in the square, vehicles cannot access the front entrance. I strongly recommend calling the hotel prior to arrival; they can coordinate luggage assistance or direct your taxi to the nearest accessible point. Overall, a deeply satisfying stay.

My friend and i were visiting the Christmas markets in Germany and France and decided to end our trip in Luxembourg at this property. Our stay was exceptional. The service, led by Muhammad, was phenomenal. Breakfast was gorgeous. The location was perfect. I would not plan to stay elsewhere in Luxembourg.

Their exceptional service, attention to detail, and genuine kindness truly made our evening unforgettable. I was honestly impressed - it’s rare to meet such friendly and dedicated professionals in Luxembourg, whether in hotels or restaurants. They always answered our emails and calls in timely manner, and adjusted everything for our needs. They are true professionals who go above and beyond for their guests. I sincerely wish them all the best in their future careers - they absolutely deserve it!

The room was very spacious, beautifully decorated, and felt warm and comfortable. The staff were generally friendly and welcoming, and I appreciated the elegant atmosphere of the hotel. The location was excellent, right in the city centre and within walking distance of everything, which made it ideal for exploring. However, I was a bit disappointed with the breakfast. For such a large and luxurious establishment, I expected a bit more variety and quality. There was also a small issue with my dinner reservation. I had booked a package including both the room and dinner, but due to a miscommunication between the reception and the restaurant, I ended up paying twice for the same meal. Although the team handled it politely and a refund is being processed, it was an unpleasant experience that could have been avoided. Despite this, I truly enjoyed my stay and would consider returning, hoping that communication between the hotel and the restaurant will be smoother next time.

The hotel's location is perfect. Located in the city center, on the most popular pedestrian area. The staff was very polite and receptionist Mrs Zulfa a brilliant example of kind person ready to serve you the best way. Breakfast's variety can be improved but quality is very high.

The location was perfect as it’s just a short walk to many restaurants and shops. The rooms were spotless, and above all, the service was truly five star. Mohammed and the rest of the team went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. We couldn’t thank them enough for their outstanding hospitality. Thank you so much!

The hotel is centrally located and our room was nice. However, because of the front desk I deducted 2 stars. They are trained to be nice but I’m not looking for everlasting friendship, I want a competent front desk staff. The hotel is located in a pedestrian zone with absolutely no way of entering on our own. They were supposed to send us an email with instructions on how to get to the hotel. After driving around like idiots, we gave up and parked in a nearby garage and we proceeded to walk to the hotel with our luggage. After checking in, instead of giving us instructions, we were told that someone would escort us to our room because the hotel’s set up is complicated. But the receptionists got busy and we were left alone at the reception area. Unbelievable but the front desk was completely unmanned for a relatively long period of time. So we ended up asking the waitress (!) from the hotel’s restaurant for help. The front desk (any shifts, really) was completely overwhelmed with basic inquiries from the guests, I think they can only handle the smiling part, but they lack efficiency at the slightest problem. I blame the management. Maybe it sounds like minor annoyance but it’s not unreasonable to expect seamless service.
