We loved staying at Le Ryad! It was a perfect landing pad for our five days in Marseille. The room was comfortable, air conditioned and clean and spacious. Omar was very kind to stay up for our late arrival and make sure we got in okay. He even helped take our luggage up stairs. The area is very central and close to public transit and the train station. We had the room all the way up stairs. I would advise you to be aware of the stairs situation because they are very intense and not for everyone, so you might choose a room on a lower floor. Thanks again for a great stay!

We really enjoyed our stay here! It's in such a cool corner of Marseille, with the bike shop around the corner and great restaurants right up the street. It's true it was a hike up to the fourth floor, but a worthwhile trade-off, especially with the sweet little balcony off the room. Still, if you're disabled, make you book the accessible room downstairs. The staff were lovely, too!

The hotel is definitely no boutique hotel. It’s quite a run down place that could need an update. We got the standard bedroom and were disappointed when the actual room didn’t look at all like any of the pictures. No balcony just a window right out to the street (that smells like urine & trash cans). We asked for a different room but the hotel was fully booked and the staff quite rude about it. We chose not to eat breakfast there.

This is an interesting small hotel on a quiet street within easy walking distance of Gare Saint-Charles (train station) and Vieux-Port (old port). Cafes, restaurants, shopping and public transportation are nearby. I enjoyed looking out from my room's small balcony. It was nice to have a small refrigerator in the room. I did not mind walking up and down the stairs but maybe the proprietor could install a pulley to lift suitcases.

My room was large enough for a family. There was a view on the hotel's garden.|As the weather was really hot, I appreciated their A/C.|Many stairs and no lift. It was tiring with baggage.|The hotel street was as uninspiring as the breakfast. We had to skip the meals during length of stay.

I was with my 18 year daugther in Marseille. We had wonderful few days there. The hotel is nice and clean and a pretty oriental touch. The guys at the reception were very friendly. We enjoyed our stay at the Le Ryad very much. The only minus Point: The second bed is not for sleeping. In the photo it was not so obvious.

The room was good and clean, but the Hotel in general is not a nice one. We had to go down and up stairs with our heavy baggage, not elevator available. The area where the Hotel is located is ugly, we arrived at night and it gave us a terrible impression. The best of the Hotel is the host, Omar, who is extremely gentle and helpful but the Hotel in general was below our expectations.
