This is a very friendly quiet hotel with a good breakfast. The proprietor and his wife were very friendly and helpful. The room on the 2nd floor was light, warm, clean, spacious and comfortable, the bed was very comfy. Shower room a little small but not a problem, hairdryer was typical hotel type where you hold the button to work it. Towels nice and a soap dispenser in the shower. Good furniture in the room with plenty of hangers. It did have a TV but no English channels that we could find. Breakfast was good and plentiful, cereal, rolls, pastries, yoghurt etc. ||||We will definitely stay here again but would book direct, we would be happy to stay anything from 1 to 7 nights here as it is central for restaurants, transport links etc.

This is in an excellent location within walking distance of both the train station and the main sights of the city like the cathedral. My room was clean and comfortable. Some people might find it small, but it was perfect for me, and I found it cozy. It was affordable, and most important, the owner is amazingly hospitable, always greeting you with a smile. When I asked where I could eat some regional dishes, he took the time to pull out a map and show me two options he personally recommended. He answered all my questions about the area and offered to hold my bag after checkout until I was ready for my train.

I stayed one night en route elsewhere and the hotel suited me very well as somewhere comfortable, and at a great value price for a city. All very clean and a very nice welcoming proprietor. The room was en suite and all the equipment worked. The hotel is on quiet square so no noise||It is about a 10 minute walk from the station, and a bit less back as it is downhill. Would definitely stay again

I stayed 3 times. I visit Clermont Ferrand for business and always stay in this hotel if it is available. I assume it is an old house and later on converted to a hotel. It is a family business and the owner is always polite and friendly. You shouldn't expect luxury it is only to sleep in a clean room with good price. Reception is closed at night but don't worry if you push the ring button at the main door you can easily contact with the owner and he comes in 2 minutes. After 7 pm you can find free parking on the streets around the hotel. Breakfast after 7 am consist of orange juice, coffee, cheese, butter croasan, and bread. Free wifi is available. There is nice restaurant right opposite of the hotel named as Mama an have 10% discount for hotel guests

We were in town to go to Puy de Dôme. We came by train and the hotel was easy to find. The hotel is only 10 minutes away from the Cathedral, tourist office and less than 5 minutes from the train station. You can take the local bus to Puy de Dôme and any of the other local buses from the train station if you do not wish to walk to the city sights. We walked to L’adventure Michelin from there as well. Very convenient location. Nice clean rooms and staff. Great breakfast buffet. Highly recommend this budget hotel.

As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. Hotel run by people rather than a chain, and charges low prices for budget rooms. The rooms themselves have all the basics (e.g. TV, shower, and a bit of space to put your stuff), but could do with a little refurbishment. The square outside the hotel is quiet so no need to worry about street noise. Staff are friendly and very helpful and speak fluent english. Not luxury, but if you want to keep costs down, this will do well for a night or two. Within 10-15 mins walk of both the train station and the cathedral quarter.

Fantastic value in Clermont-Ferrand - about a ten-minute walk from the historic centre. Large room, hot shower, TV. Didn't have breakfast, but the coffee from the bar was tasty. Parking wasn't a problem, always managed to get a space outside the hotel. Don't expect luxury - just a fantastic value, spotlessly clean hotel with a helpful, enthusiastic owner.

This hotel is a small family run business located in a busy and often loud area in Clermont, there is no designated parking from what I gather but there are local parking places for a small fee. The rooms are quite small and although they have made the best of a bad situation you can't help but feel cramped, the toilet facilities were just inches from the bed inside what I first thought was a wardrobe! The shower was inside what I first thought was a porta-loo also. The shower lacked hot water during peak times and was poorly constructed, the shower head hanger was broken so i had to either hold the head up whilst using or put it down when not. The rooms overlook another block of rooms opposite, which is fine if you don't mind people being able to see you at all times. I visited during a hot period, the outside temperature was 33 degrees centigrade, there was little airflow and the rooms do not have Air conditioning! Bear that in mind in case you need those luxuries. The breakfast was adequate although the same everyday, Coffee, and a basket of bread with yogurt and compote. I was here for 4 nights and only had the breakfast twice. On the plus side, the owner and his wife are extremely happy to help and very friendly. English speaking is very good and they can help you plan hotels or taxis which is a nice touch. Overall, this hotel is good if you only need a stop over for a couple of nights, the temperature is not as hot as it was when I was there and there isn't much else to pick from. When booking this hotel this was the only one that had a room for that period.
