Stayed here a couple of nights. This is a nice traditional hotel, very close to the historic centre - 10minute walk. Checkin was straightforward. Room was spacious and comfortable and importantly quiet. There is a petrol station acrass from the hotel for snacks, supermarket a bit further away around 15 minute walk. Location is key with hotel, near the historic centre and only few minutes from train station also

Fantastic hotel! It is perfectly close to the train station. Superior room was roomy, bed and pillows were comfortable, I love that they had an extra blanket in the closet, and especially loved that you can open the window 😊 The bathroom was beautiful, great water pressure, no issues with temp. I stupidly locked my luggage with a different code (I wasn’t wearing my glasses!) I went down to the front desk and they thankfully had different tools to bust the zipper open! I will stay here again!

Excellent location for walking to shops and restaurants. Hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. We were on the third floor and grateful for the elevator since we had heavy suitcases. The bathroom in our room (#36) had been nicely renovated. We had a scenic view of the harbor in the distance. There were outlets on either side of the headboard for convenience in charging your phone. There is an ice machine in the lobby and our room had a coffee (Keurig-like) machine and a small fridge. The room is spacious. No bathroom in the lobby, in case you were just getting off a cruise ship. The staff let us store our luggage after we arrived in the morning and also let us store it the day we left since we had to vacate the room by 11 and leave for the airport at 2:45. The staff also ordered a taxi for us the day we left. A trip to the airport is about 30 minutes and cost us $45. A taxi from the cruise port cost us only $10. You could walk, but if you have luggage, I wouldn't recommend it. We mostly enjoyed the Governor's Promenade along the St. Lawrence River in front of the Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac. There is a Tim Horton's not far from there for doughnuts and coffee. Our favorite meal was at Le Petit Chateau where we had lunch outdoors while listening to a guitarist who played Cat Stevens songs and other pleasant music.

We (2 couples) stayed at this great hotel for a mini vacation. The location was great, the staff were kind and welcoming and the housekeeping were very efficient. Louis-Charles at the front desk was particularly helpful. |The newly renovated rooms were exactly what we were hoping for. |An easy walk to the waterfront area and the port and also minutes away from lower town and upper town. |We hope to come back!

We stayed here on our last four trips to Québec City. The location is great for walking around the city. Parking is nearby. Port area is fun. Very quiet area. Clean, comfortable rooms.

Spent several night after getting off our cruise. All of the staff were very nice. Directed us to the many restaurants that were near by. We were able to flag down the ON OFF BUS across the street, not due them, but it helped. The man reason we stayed there was it was in old town and had an elevator and close to the ship terminal. We were able to walk around to see some things we would have otherwise seen. Very good place to stay.

Loved our experience at the hotel and Quebec City! Our room was clean and looked like it was recently renovated. No noise issues with the rooms next to us or from outside. Staff were very kind and helpful.

Google
Great hotel. It's quite charming but also modern and clean. The location was amazing for me coming in on the train, as it is close walking distance from the train station but still close to old Quebec.

Yelp
This place is terrible!! The rugs in the room were not vacuumed and they were stained. The lighting In the room was just two table lamps. The beds were a piece of ply wood with sheets on them. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

Yelp
Hotel was easy to get to and in walking distance from the Via Rail Canada station. The staff was nice and friendly. The room reminded me of a bed and breakfast a little. It was charming and with older style accommodations. Complimentary breakfast was included in our hotel at the restaurant adjacent, Levarin to our hotel. Breakfast was wonderful and really good! It was in walking distance to everything. Once you venture up the hill, you are in the middle of everything in the Old City Quebec. Also, I walked to the St. Roch neighborhood from here. Further, there is a little Dominican restaurant two doors down from the hotel, La Dominicaine - Café Traiteur. Food was fantastic with reasonable prices. At the end of my stay, the desk agent called me a taxi (Taxi Coop) to my request to get to the YQB airport. I had a pleasant ride, fare was $35.

Yelp
Hôtel le Saint-Paul is a charming little hotel right along Rue Saint-Paul, and within easy walking distance from the train station, Old Québec, and lots of food. The staff was extremely nice and very helpful. The manager who checked me in gave me a map and drew out a route for me, and housekeeping put a bag next to my door with new towels, soaps, coffee, and toilet paper when I had my 'do not disturb' sign up -- LOVED THIS! My room was on the small side, but had plenty of dresser space, a little desk, and an HDTV. The windows didn't open, but the air conditioning was excellent. It blows super cold, and right in the direction of the bed (presumably, the heat does the same). The free wi-fi was very fast compared to many hotels I've stayed at -- speed tested at 14ms, 21mbps down, 13mbps up. The bathroom was recently renovated and had a tile floor, big sink, big tub (some rooms in their photos just have showers), modern Delta faucets with good water pressure, and great lighting. The beautiful renovations in the bathroom did not continue to the rest of the room, and what I presume to be hardwood floors was covered up with razor-thin and dirty carpet. The view from my room wasn't all that impressive, but who cares? You're in Vieux-Québec and you should be out exploring! And, the ugly gas station across the street has a very nice selection of healthier drink options like coconut water and flavored water, for what it's worth. My room had a Keurig machine with a selection of regular, decaf, and green tea. But, I was a little disappointed that there wasn't mini fridge in the room. The absolute worst part about my room was the bed. It was rock hard and creaked every time you shifted a little bit. I've stayed in a lot of hotels, and I can only think of one time I've experienced a bed as terrible as this - a little old hotel in a pub town in Ireland. It was awful, to say the least. Luckily, the huge bathtub and very nice selection of natural/organic soaps made up for it. Still, my back was in so much pain on my train ride back to Montréal. I have one other gripe, and that's the inconvenience and lack of security that comes with what appeared to be standard metal residential keys for the room doors. Modern electronic hotel room locks eliminate virtually any chance of a room being burglarized by a former guest since old keys are automatically invalidated; and it's not a big deal if you lose your key because you can just get a new one issued. I didn't have my car with me, so I left my keys in my suitcase, so now I had to worry about carrying around a metal key. Along with that, I really had to pull to get my door to click locked while leaving, and there was no in-room safe, something I only care about when there's no electronic door locks. Ultimately, I can list off tons of reasons I'd absolutely LOVE to stay at this hotel again -- awesome location, staff, internet, and bathroom -- but I wouldn't do so without the hotel investing in better beds and better security.

Yelp
Our experience at this hotel was just okay. The price per night was competitive for the area, and the location is great (within walking distance to the heart of Old Quebec, though be forewarned that in order to get to some areas you will need to walk up a hill, which can get tiring day after day). The outside is charming, and the rooms are updated. Our room was on the small side, but we didn't spend much time in the room so it really didn't matter. Negatively, the room was very dark at night or if the curtains were closed, as the only lights were a few small, dim lamps. The bathroom also always had a noticeably bad smell, perhaps the plumbing? Our view was not good; it was of the gas station across the street, but that's not the hotel's fault. The "free WiFi" at the hotel never worked; it'd connect us for about 10 seconds and then disconnect us. There was no menu for the hotel's adjoining restaurant in the room, but there were menus for other restaurants, which was a bit odd. The TV didn't have many English channels, but most of all there was no list of channels, so it was a bit frustrating to search through the channel guide only to repeatedly get a message that the channel isn't available. Again, we didn't spend much time at the hotel, but small touches like a list of available channels and a menu for the hotel restaurant would have been helpful. The front desk staff were never very friendly, but weren't overtly rude either. We never got a "bonjour" or other greeting when we entered. Additionally, the front desk gave us parking tickets for the wrong dates, which, to be fair, they remedied once we brought it to their attention. Housekeeping was not good. We tipped very generously everyday, but one day they just never cleaned our room despite the fact that we had been gone all day, and had the "please make up our room" sign on the door. When we notified the front desk, they said that housekeeping was gone for the day and said they'd bring us some towels and some coffee, which we asked for, and they did, but they offered no explanation or apology regarding our room not being attended to that day. On two other days, housekeeping did not supply us with enough fresh towels nor with refills of coffee. We got a bit tired of asking for both at the front desk. Breakfast is included at the adjoining restaurant, which was a great perk. The included breakfast selections were great and we enjoyed our meals every morning. The service at breakfast was attentive and friendly each day. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was okay, but service was incredibly slow; the one waitress was stretched thin and she was apologetic. In short, we had an okay stay here but likely would stay elsewhere next time we visit the city, and likely won't recommend his hotel to others.

Yelp
We so enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Le St. Paul. We were greeted by the charming Mayre at the front desk. Every day of our stay Mayre helped us with what to do and what to enjoy in the area. Our suite with fireplace was good. Our bed was very comfortable and relaxing. We enjoyed many restaurants (Legends) nearby and also the Hotel's own restaurant for wonderful breakfasts! Patrick in the restaurant was also very helpful with suggestions and directions. Don't miss going to the island and whatever you do - do not miss the Marche de Vieux directly across the street!!!! Go there first and you will return every day! great for foodies!

Yelp
Not in Old Quebec (in the wall) but just next to it. Very close to Train station. Hotel is clean. Staffs are nice and patient. Got promo as $99 a night! Worth to stay since you can't find a second hotel in this good location with this price.

Yelp
Located near the Vieux Port Market/ the old port, which is now a market with produce, gourmet foods, and plants. Good room, comfortable bed, and close to restaurants and shops. Quebec has an upper and lower city, and this is in the lower city. We didn't mind the walk up to the upper city, but getting to the upper town on foot could be difficult for those not able to handle hills/stairs. We liked it.

Yelp
The suite we had was very nice. The hotel itself appears to be quite old but our room was updated recently. The people at the front desk were pleasant and always tried to be helpful. The location is good - located in lower town of Old Quebec. Their prices seem to be competitive so it was a good choice. We did have one serious problem with the air conditioning the 1st night - It would not shut off so it was very cold. They did get it fixed the next day and after asking they gave us a partial credit toward the 1st night.
