Yelp
A very nice hotel in St. Germain. Decent size rooms and beds (from an American girl used to deluxe accommodations!), close to Metro and eateries (cafes and brasseries), chic, clean and bright, nice lobby with hotel bar, Juliette balconies in select rooms, free hammamm (steam bath only, not the massage) which is a nice perk and full-service spa. Free wi-fi too!
The staff was friendly, but they don't all speak English which can be hard for Americans looking for recommendations for tours, sights, restaurants and directions. They don't have a dedicated concierge which was displeasing. Found the evening staff to be much more knowledgeable, willing and capable of helping us in these areas than the day staff. While the hotel is in St. Germain, it's in a more remote location. It's further from the river than a map suggests and definitely at least a 20-30 minute walk to some of the most desired sightseeing locations. It's not far from night time hot spots and good restaurants though if you're up for the walk.
Other things to keep in mind - while on a small, less crowded street than other boutique hotels in Paris, many cab drivers didn't know where Rue Stanislas was, so know a side street like Montparnasse to avoid being asked where the hell you're really going. Also, if you have a room facing Stanislas, beware of the garbage trucks that come every single day around the 7:30am hour that will certainly disrupt your sleep.
