Hotel Le Terminus

Nearest to the train and bus station. Couldn't find any available ones to book for a stay of 3 weeks so I just decide to stay here. No aircon? People say cold country it's fine. But when it's hot and summer and no aircon? At least have a fan maybe? Window is connected to the person next door and I'm facing the rooftop. Somebody can just climb up or down to my window so it's not safe to open window when I'm asleep. The room would smell terrible when there are no proper ventilation. Sound proofing kind of bad. You can literally hear every single footsteps of the people walking up the stairs or thr person above you walking around in their room. Can provide a kettle at least maybe? Staff are all nice though and help you get what you need. And location is awesome. Good for a short stay I guess in a cold weather.

This hotel is nicely located for bus and train - once the works are completed! Until then people with age or mobility issues may struggle.|There is no lift and MANY stairs, so the above still applies.|Positively: very friendly staff who were willing and obliging in letting my 90 year old Mother move down to the 1st instead of 3rd floor! Phew!|Functional clean rooms with adequate facilities for a City break.|The restaurant was very pleasant and the service delightful - also easy to access (bearing earlier comments about stairs in mind)|Good price for a pleasant, easy stay in Mons. The location is across the road from the train station. Location was good. Everything is walking distance. I was here on Business and spent the majority of my days at work. Basically i would only go to Le Terminus to sleep. I was able to park outside. The hotel was warm and clean. The TV remote control did not work and I handed it in to the reception desk on my way out one morning expecting it to be fixed and be left in my room when i got back. I never saw the remote again and never got the tv working but did not make much of a difference to me as i only back to sleep. The reception desk is only open in the mornings. Never saw it open at any other time.

Found that the hotel reception not well staffed but room was adequate bathroom very small. Breakfast service not good and variety basic. However it was well situated close to City centre, Handy for visits to the battlefields. Whilst staff could not speak English a veteran who was staying there translated for us. We did not use the restaurant in the evening

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we were forced to stopover in Mons, it was late and we agreed not to be choosy. The hotel faces the train station and the bus terminal and the reception is under a staircase, we hesitated... and stayed, the room was clean, confortable and amazingly quiet. We managed to get an excellent Greek meal next door, a great evening.

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. I came by train and the hotel is right in front of the trainstation and bus stops. It was very easy to find the hotel. Rooms were good and very clean. Also was the bathroom. Breakfast was basic but good. The citycenter is just 10 minutes away by foot

When we arrived, the reception was locked and no sign posted. I had to call the phone number to discover the lady below working at a connected pizza joint was the receptionist. We got her into the office and she had tried to make me pay a second time. When we got our keys and walked up and through the small corridors and got to our room we noticed the door closer mechanism was broken. Inside we saw gross looking tile floors, dirty, loose, and worn door handles. The ceiling had bits damaged along the corners and visible tears in fabric behind the slats. The bed had black dots and seemed to have all the blankets tucked under to hide a torn and dirty mattress. The wall behind the bed was dusty and the wiring for the phone was exposed. The floorboards along the inner walls were damaged and literally slanted, and in fact the whole room seemed slanted. The tiles in the bathroom were loose near the door. We saw mold in multiple corners, dirt in and around the filter, and the cupboard was damaged. There were hand soap dispensers near the sink and in the tub. The tub was also chipped. Lightswitches were dirty and worn as well, and the view was just rooftops.

The room was good however the landing and public areas could use renovations. Parking was not in a great safe area and the hotel had no real parking of their own. I would not use the hotel again as I am concerned for my car parked in that area.
