Hôtel Voltaire (Arles, French Riviera / Provence) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"The mid-century modernist façade of the Hôtel Voltaire already stands out in the heart of the ancient city of Arles. The interiors, however, take it to another level: its nine rooms are the perfect picture of the 21st-century budget boutique hotel, with their utilitarion storage, their carefully focused color palettes, and their simple comforts, all the work of designer Eloïse Bosredon. Balconies are universal, facing onto a picturesque square. So far, so good, but what makes the Voltaire truly special is the presence of a casual but very fine Levantine restaurant conceived by chefs Tamir Nahmias and Or Michaeli." - Tablet Hotels

Super cute, loved the colour scheme and bright simplicity of the rooms. We arrived early and a staff member allowed us to leave our bags at the cafe across the square. A special thank you to Olivia for helping us with our check in needs! We really enjoyed our stay :)

Having visit the hotel in 2012, I was astonished to see the transformation under new owners. It's really a lovely boutique hotel with some sweet touches. All the rooms, over three floors , have en suite bathrooms, all have balconies onto the square and are beautifully furnished in a modern style. Arles is not huge so you can walk everywhere. It is one of my favourite places in France. ||If you're lucky you will meet Pierre who was extremely helpful and kind and found us a free parking place.||Two things the hotel has not got, a lift and hair dryers . But I want to return to this great spot.

Visited for a coffee and a croissant for breakfast, they were good - what you'd expect from any square in France The service was slow, but overall courteous. In the evening they won't let you sit for a drink, which is a tad disappointing given that most of their tables were empty. They told us that we could only sit if we were planning on having dinner there. To be fair they were very nice about letting us have a walk around inside the place then. Nevertheless, it is worth a visit and worth supporting purely because of the effort they made in making the place look beautiful.

First of all, this could have been a nice hotel, unfortunately we never got to use any of the Hotels facilities because they were completely shut for the 2 days we stayed there. The room was ok for a 3 star and the balcony was nice. Its advertised as a hotel with a bar and restaurant which i suppose is technically correct but, as they were completely shut for the 2 days we were there we never got a chance to try them. I booked a hotel and all we got was a room. If you are going to book this so called hotel, make sure its open for business. If anyone gets a chance of using the bar and restaurant here please let me know if its any good. Thanks.

Wow! The new chef is incredible! We had tataki, buratta and a few more things. Everything was exquisite and the service was so pleasant. We had this lovely living room feel that is hard to replicate:)

What a nice place! First, the service: very polite and kind. With all the info you want! Then the food: truly truly delicious! The dishes are not something you’ll find in other restaurants, they are something new, that make you wonder: when I come back, what will I take :). Definitely worth the visit if you like something new!

Rooms are nice, but staff was rude, did not even know basic English or Spanish and was uncooperative to any attempt to communicate. Made us feel unwelcome at best. Care for covid safety regulations, virtually non-existing, with no staff members wearing masks indoors.

One of those hotels which are hard to find, not being covered by online price comparisons. However, great value for money. Basic, a bit worn, but clean rooms all equipped with balconies giving a nice view over lively Place Voltaire. For tariffs see webpage, but better call for a reservation. Very nice owner.
