Hotel L'Edelweiss

Wonderful place to stay. We opted for pension; so full breakfast and dinner. Dinners were very creative: beet gazpacho, salmon in a Japanese sauce, salmon carpaccio, chicken with mushrooms, exotic deserts. Pascal was very helpful with suggestions for hikes, and the hotel’s entire team were most welcoming and helpful. The hotel is just a short walk from the village center. Our room was clean had a balcony and sufficient closet space for our hiking clothes and gear. Using the hotel as base we were able to access terrific hikes in the Vanoise national park.

Amazing hotel in a prime location if you select a room with a view of Petite Mont Blanc. One of our favorite hotels in France because: warm, helpful, welcoming owner and staff; spectacular view from the room and balcony, you can watch the mts change all day from your bed/chair; top-notch breakfast, excellent dinners; well-designed rooms, rustic with class. Our 2nd 5-day stay in 2 years. Pascal, the owner and resident manager has sold the hotel, it's a high bar for the new management.

This hotel had a wonderful staff, and a very adequate breakfast. We ate dinner here twice, one time we had the stirfry which was OK, but the menu of the day with cod was absolutely fantastic. The rooms are very nice. Try to get a room that overlooks the valley as it has a balcony and is much nicer. There was a hot tub we used several times, and there’s also an exercise area as well. The lifts to a variety of different spots for hiking are very accessible and generally do not require your car. Other restaurants in this very small town are very accessible by foot. It was a wonderful stay, and I can’t say enough about the staff.

We had a fantastic stay at the Hotel L’Edelweiss! It’s perfectly located near to the front de neige, chair lifts and gondola, and is less than a minute walk from the main centre of shops and restaurants. The rooms have recently been renovated and are stylish and comfortable, we had a great nights sleep! The views are also amazing, uninterrupted views of the valley- just perfect. The breakfast selection was also very good, lots of selection in a peaceful setting looking out to the mountains. Pascal and his team were extremely welcoming and friendly and we’ll definitely be back :-) Thank you very much

I hesitate to write this review because I would really love to keep this place all to myself! It’s getting a lot of attention and it’s well-deserved. The staff is first-class. Professional, competent, accommodating … it’s the full package. The location is out of a storybook all four seasons. The view from our room was breathtaking. The food was delicious and a real treat every night - without exception. The cleaning staff goes over and beyond and that’s extremely important to me (I’m a bit OCD) - and my husband was very surprised not to hear a single complaint :) Pascal and Valentin make a very good team. My family of six is so excited to come back as soon as we can. * We forgot some things and they are sending it to us - how nice right? Don’t forget to get a massage from their masseuse. You won’t regret it! She’s fabulous.

Superb service. Amazing food, great location. Pascal was very welcoming and offered us good advise. All the staff could not have been more helpful and pleasant. The hotel is kept extremely clean and comfortable.

We stayed here for one night whilst hiking in the region. A very friendly and hospitable couple run the hotel - seeing we were tired on arrival we were whisked to our room with a minimum of formality; very clean and comfortable with lovely views down the valley.|Pleasant terrace with guests sitting out for drinks before dinner. We didn't have dinner but breakfast was good continental with nice fresh croissants. The owner called the tourist office to check the time of the bus to our next destination. On hearing it was not running he drove us there himself. |Highly recommended. |To find it, follow the road up behind the cinema - it's 20 yards on the right.
