No hot water during the daily interval when I was informed there would be (yes there is a daily period), showerhead broken, heating in bedroom does not work, tv is image-dimmed and also not working well, of three wall sockets only one worked. AC control was locked inside a wall without the manager being aware of it apparently, no extra bed clothing or pillows or anything, stains and moistures tracing all across the walls and stained bed sheets. Service is slow (took half an hour for the one person running the place to figure out the computer to issue an invoice) and door ir always locked you need to ring the doorbell and hope the manager hears it to come and open it.

This pension is clean and well run. rooms are basic but all that we needed. The location is excellent in the old town a short walk to the main square, restaurants and the bus station. this is useful if doing day trips to places such as batalha (well worth it). Breakfast is basic but this is usual in portugal .

The name of this hotel is no longer Pensão Leiriense, but Hotel Leiriense. ||This hotel is in a street right off the town's main square, not far from the bus station||I stayed here with a friend for one night, in two ensuite rooms, overlooking a narrow, no-car, quiet street. ||The rooms and the toilets were small but adequate and very cleen. The furniture was recent.||The only problem with this hotel is the noises coming from inside of the building. I woke up too early in the morning because someone was using the bathroom in the floor above and the water seemed to be pouring next to me. ||The room next to mine was empty, so I can't say if I would be able to hear noises coming from there.||We didn't have breakfast, so I can't speek about that.||The hotel is economic and the rooms are perfectly OK. Perhaps I will chose it again when I will go back to Leiria, but the noise question worries me.

Pensao Leiriense is in a prime locaton in thriving Leiria--on a quiet pedestrian street just off the main square. The pension is clean and our corner room was quiet with a view of the castle. Rooms are small with modest bathrooms in this old building and the served breakfast is just fair. However the price reflects the flaws; we paid 50 EURO/night.

The service is great! Polite and good assistance. But so much noise from the air conditioner
