Hotel Lemongarden (Sutivan, Brac) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"The name actually undersells just how verdant the adults-only Hotel Lemongarden is, its antique stone buildings surrounding an impressive Mediterranean garden right by the harbor in Sutivan, on the Croatian island of Brač. The atmosphere in its rooms and suites recalls the tranquility of country life, as does its palm-fringed swimming pool; a private beach, a short bike ride from the hotel, is surrounded by a pine forest. Massages are offered at the beach pavilion, while back at the hotel there’s a cocktail lounge as well as a restaurant serving farm-fresh modern Mediterranean fare and house-made limoncello." - Tablet Hotels

What an absolutely fabulous experience. |This hotel is like none other we have ever visited. Such attention to detail. Excellence around every corner. Wonderful staff and everything immaculate!! Everything was to be treasured and remembered. From the pool and gardens; the beach house; the sound of the bells from the nearby church; the glorious use of colour in interior design; the food etc. I don’t have enough superlatives. |And then the fantastic staff. Who made our visit so lovely. Thank you to you all. And particularly Jelena for going the extra mile. |We hope to return one day.

This was our second stay at Hotel Lemongarden, and it somehow managed to surpass our already high expectations. Everything about this beautiful hotel, set in the heart of a charming harbour village on the island of Brac, is exceptional! From the warm, attentive staff to the impeccable facilities.||||The breakfast setting right by the harbour is nothing short of idyllic. Starting each morning watching the boats while enjoying a delicious, beautifully presented breakfast was a highlight of our stay. A special thank you to Goran, Jelena, and Andela, who made every morning feel special with their friendly, personal service.||||We loved the little touches that make this hotel so memorable. Borrowing the hotel bikes for a scenic cycle to the beach was such a joy, and renting the hotel’s mini car allowed us to explore the island at our own pace, discovering hidden coves and quaint villages along the way. Another huge plus is the direct hotel boat transfer to Split airport.||||The pool area is tranquil and beautifully maintained, and Tin at the pool bar kept us refreshed and well-looked after. Evenings at the main bar were a treat too, thanks to Dani’s welcoming hospitality.||||From room service to restaurant dining, every interaction with the hotel team was outstanding. The staff here genuinely care about their guests, and it shows in every thoughtful detail.||||There are several restaurants nearby (we really liked the pizzeria) if you want a change to the hotel, or you can get a taxi to Supetar for even more choices. ||||Hotel Lemongarden is a true gem, and we already can’t wait to return for our third visit. Highly recommended to anyone looking for understated luxury, personalised service, and an authentic Croatian island experience.

Everything about this hotel is fantastic. The private beach is particularly wonderful - large area, very quiet and serene, spotless bathrooms, food and drink available at the small onsite restaurant, plenty of chairs, heavenly hammocks. They offer complimentary shuttle to the private beach but you can also take well-maintained bikes which we did and it's a very easy pleasant 10-15 minute ride over. ||The pool is beautifully designed but would be more enticing if it was heated a bit warmer. Rooms are large, well appointed, wonderful sheets and beds, and fabulous bathrooms. Staff are nice, albeit "Croatian-cool" in demeanor. We didn't opt for the private transfer but if you don't mind spending 400 Euros (we could afford it easily but still found it more than we felt it was worth) it would be a stylish, fast, luxe way to get door to door service from the airport to this gem of a hotel. We only had breakfast, no lunches or dinners, but the food was excellent and presented beautifully. ||One of the best hotels we've stayed at in 20 years.

We loved this hotel. I was looking for a hotel where we could relax & unwind & feel pampered. The Lemongarden achieved this.||After we collected our luggage at Split airport we were met & taken to the private speedboat & whisked off to Sutivan harbour. We were delighted our room was ready early so we could unpack & settle down for lunch at the waterside restaurant. Afterwards, an afternoon by the pool beckoned. We were the only ones there. The pool is gorgeous. The gardens are immaculate. The staff are all delightful. The scent of jasmine & sound of the birds made us instantly relax.||Any plans to explore Brac or further afield vanished. This was a holiday for complete relaxation. ||Nothing is any bother. Smiling staff. Good service. Genuinely the best sleep I've had in years. ||We spent a couple of afternoons at the beach. We aren't really beach people but this area is pretty special. A super beach bar (we preferred the lunch menu here to the one at the hotel). We were spoiled because the weather was gorgeous yet we pretty much had the place to ourselves.||We probably would have had more dinners at the hotel but as a non red meat eater I struggled to find what I wanted on the current menu. (There is a decent vegan section but that doesn't appeal to me.)  However it was nice to try the other little restaurants around the harbour too. ||There were no negatives but as an observation I'd mention that although the hotel is adult only there is a children's playground directly beyond the pool area which can get 'lively' at certain times of the day but it wasn't a problem for us.||A fabulous stay here. One of the staff mentioned that they get many repeat guests which is no surprise. I hope I'm one. ||Finally, the macaroons are absolutely divine!||Sent from AOL on Android||

After spending five days at Hotel Lemongarden on the island of Brač, I would still give this wonderful hotel five stars, despite an unpleasant incident during our first breakfast. The ladies at the reception are competent, customer-oriented, and fulfilled all our wishes to our complete satisfaction. The room, the garden, and the pool are all beautiful. What I loved most was the hotel’s private beach, where I could also enjoy excellent food and service. However, the dinner at the restaurant was not to my taste. That said, I would like to share one negative experience, which applies only to the breakfast restaurant at Hotel Lemongarden. We arrived at 8:48 AM and asked if we could have breakfast outside along the waterfront tables, which were not yet set up. A waitress told us that due to unstable weather, breakfast was only being served indoors. However, about 30 minutes later, the same waitress and her colleagues began preparing the outdoor tables for breakfast. When we left, I asked the waitress why we were not allowed to sit outside. She replied that the tables had not been prepared yet. I asked why she hadn’t told us the real reason from the beginning, as we would have been happy to wait. Instead of addressing the question, she told me that I had not been nice to her as a staff member and that she does everything she can for the guests. I was very disappointed by the lack of clear communication and the defensive attitude rather than a simple explanation.

We spent three days at the Lemongarden and used it as a base to explore Split (took the ferry) and the island of Brač, where the hotel is located. First the hotel itself is in a great location. Our room was excellent, although unforunately we not not have a view of the ocean. Service was also excellent, without being overbearing. We had dinner at the hotel the first night and then explored ate at other places that were within short walking distance for the 2 other nights. We had an entire day free on Brač and didn't know what we were going to do until the front desk informed us that they have 3 Mini Cooper convertibles (manual transmission) for rent at €125/day with everything included. So we rented one and had a blast exploring the island: went to the top of Vidova Gora, where we could see the neighboring island of Hvar and even Italy; the villages of Bol, Pučišća (where we visited a stonemasonry high school); and Škrip (where we did a tour of an olive oil museum). All and all a great place to stay. I would defintiely stay there again if we return to Brač.

We spent two weeks traveling down the coast from Zagreb to Dubrovnik, alternating between the coast and islands. Hotel Lemongarden was BY FAR the highlight of the entire trip. The staff, especially Jelena and Sandra at the front desk and all of the servers at the restaurant, were unbelievably attentive and truly invested in our experience. We had an incredible suite with a rooftop patio and view of the coast that I still dream about weekly. The spa was also a highlight; I’ve never stayed somewhere where you schedule your own time in the spa and have all of the options available only to you. The breakfast which is included was truly astounding. And the servers, picking up quickly on the first morning that we like mimosas, would bring us some every morning thereafter. We took the golf cart ride to the private beach- it’s a very short ride and WELL worth it. It’s truly private and the bar and restaurant staff there were equally amazing and attentive. This was the most intimate and high end resort experience I’ve ever had that didn’t feel like a stuffy resort. And the location is perfect. We had a car and they provided parking. Although it was hard to want to leave the hotel! The swimming pool is even more amazing in person. It was such an incredible hotel that my boyfriend chose our rooftop patio to propose! It was phenomenal and we WILL be back!
