Hotel Leone (Montelparo, Marche) 3 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"It’s hidden in plain sight: Le Marche, to the east of Tuscany and north of Rome, attracts just a fraction of its neighbors’ tourism traffic. And it’s not for lack of appeal. Among Italians it’s known for having a little bit of everything, from rolling hills to dramatic mountains to idyllic beaches, from vineyards to medieval villages. In the foothills of the Sibillini Mountains, with an elevated view of much of the above, you’ll find Hotel Leone, an eight-room luxury boutique hotel that gathers together an astonishing variety of the things that make Italy special, all under one roof." - Tablet Hotels

We stayed for 2 nights from the 20th of June in a double room. We were allocated room 404 on the 4th floor. The room was not a bad size and was clean. There was a safe and a fridge to use. The bathroom was quite small, especially the shower but was Ok for 2 days. The air con did not work too well, we had it on the lowest setting at 17 on the highest fan and it was just about sufficient (and we don’t like it cold). The lift was very slow, it was quicker to walk the 4 flights of stairs unless you had suitcases in which case you had to wait. Breakfast was good, as I am gluten and dairy free, they had bread and muffins which suited and dairy free milk. It wasn’t a huge selection at breakfast, but definitely better than we have seen at some other hotels. The staff were really friendly and helpful. It was a 10 min walk from the train station and you could walk into town, taxis everywhere seemed to be 25EUR no matter where you went. Our friends stayed at the Hilton just around the corner, for the price and location this hotel definitely sufficed for the 2 days.

The location was very good. The cleanliness and standard of décor throughout the hotel, was exceptional. The staff for breakfast went above and beyond and were very attentive. The reception staff were also extremely polite and helpful. All in all this is an extremely good hotel and I would fully recommend. The breakfast, although continental was very good. The wi-fi was excellent, but there were limits on uploading i.e. pictures to Google Photos. A very modern hotel.||||There were no issues with our stay, but would like to point out a couple of things so other potential guests are aware. The fact there are no towels placed on beds in a morning is very good, however this hotel is open to locals/holidaymakers that are not stopping at the hotel. The locals definitely had their names on some beds and you were refused them if you asked. We never had an issue getting a bed, but there were days it was very busy due to the extra people allowed in that wasn't stopping there. Just one other thing, was drinks in glasses were allowed around and in the pool.

We loved our 4 night stay at Hotel Leone. The location is perfect, just a 15 minute easy walk to the centre of town, Piazza Tasso, shops and restaurants, and about 30 minutes from the port, an easy downhill. Going back up the hill depends on your fitness but is not too bad for moderately fit people. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean, the breakfasts are delicious, all staff are so friendly and helpful and speak good English. The swimming pool is fantastic with pool towels available and helpful staff to organise your sun lounger. Also drinks and snacks are available to purchase. There’s a nearby supermarket and other small shops and eating places and a laundromat 2 minutes walk away. I highly, highly recommend Hotel Leone as your base in Sorrento. One tip is to ensure the air conditioning works you must keep the terrace door closed with the handle locked. Tea and coffee are available in the room with two tea cups but no other glasses (paper cups in bathroom).

Great location, Cleaning Staff amazing, had a bad experience with the day receptionist at the front desk male party with glasses did not want to answer any questions my wife had about the excursions and told us to wait for the next guy coming in. He had a tone and attitude with me as soon as I got there and I had to tell him to please be respectful. A second time i came in from the pool area and he gave me a hard time about not having a shirt on as we waited less than an hour to have our room available. Other than him everyone else was 10/10 friendly

Gorgeous hotel, beautifully kept, nice and cool. Very helpful and friendly staff, lovely room - our balcony looked out on the front of the hotel with a gorgeous view of the high mountain, luscious greenery and bright flowers shrubs. Great pool for cooling off after a hit day in the town. Splendid location, just 15 minutes from the train station - where you can get the train to Pompeii and Herculaneum or buses to Positano and Amalfi - and from the centre of town. Another 15 minutes walk will take you down to the sea - either the gorgeous fishing centre of Marina Grande or the port where you can get boat trips and ferries. Good breakfast, lots of fruit and pastries. All in all a great place to stay in Sorrento - we would definitely stay there again

We enjoyed our stay here very much. The rooms are spacious, modern and clean. The pool and Jacuzzi are a great addition. Breakfast is good. They have a large free parking space which is not commonly available in Sorrento and the location is excellent. Staff was very nice. |A minor item to improve is the limited number of electric outlets in the room - there were just 2 and it’s not always enough with all the devices that need to be charged.

Stayed here for five nights. Easy walking distance from| Sorrento town centre. Very clean modern hotel with really nice helpful staff. The room we booked was a little small with limited luggage space so if this is an issue for you make sure you take this into account when booking the room. |Overall I’d recommend it. Nice quiet area, decent pool and not at all crowded. Great location.

Cons: The rooms have very poor sound insulation, you can hear everything from outside and other rooms. Unfortunately, some guests lacked consideration and were being very loud even around midnight. Since we stayed on the first floor, we could also hear people chatting in the lobby at night. If you’re looking for a quiet place to stay, this hotel may not be the best choice. Pros: -Friendly and helpful staff -Great location -Decent breakfast -Parking included

I'm surprised the WiFi is actually holding up enough long enough to let me post this. Also no pool, it's being built still, that's cool! Breakfast was ok but that's not really reason enough to stay here. Air conditioning did not work well at all.
