I had to kill bugs three times during my stay. Hygiene is supposed to be a basic standard, but clearly, this hotel fails even at that. The rooms are not properly cleaned, and the overall cleanliness is unacceptable. I advise you not to waste your money here. Hotel from the location, rooms, breakfast etc. It's really not worth it.

This is an uniqu hotel im Novi Sad. Best view comfortable and friendly staff. Breakfast is perfect. There is no better hotel in Novi Sad as i think. Lovely receptionist is the best opinion when you arrive.

A brief journey through time: Staying at this unique hotel, adorned with the elegance of the past in every corner, feels like witnessing a bygone era.

Pleasant hotel in the fine fortress the Austrians left in Petrovaradin in the 18th century. In a quiet position, many of its rooms (including mine) overlook the Danube and Novi Sad. I had a comfortable spacious room with a sitting area. Good bathroom and wifi, and the management was helpful getting me a taxi for my train. Breakfast was included and ok, except that the hot food heaters were turned off a good 30 minutes before the end of breakfast. There are two good restaurants next door with terraces and views in fine weather. It’s an easy and pleasant walk into Novi Sad’s interesting, historic centre. Traveller’s tip: the Museum of Vojvodina in the city centre is fascinating, especially the section covering the World Wars and Trianon. But don’t bother with the very boring Museum of Novi Sad near the hotel - it only covers prehistory.

Great location up on a hill overlooking Novi Sad…..great sense of the heritage and history of the area. Charming hotel which takes you back in time, staff is friendly and accommodating. We had a room overlooking the river which was lovely……the room could have used some maintenance. Very old style hair dryer …..the boxes on the wall kind of thing, room needed a paint job….very scuffed up walls, very low and rather hard beds, breakfast had ok selection but needed attention to detail…….only tea available was fruit or green… no black tea, eggs were not heated up, coffee was ok. If you want a historic property with a good view and aren’t looking for 5 star….this is a good choice

Loved being up in the fortress with great views, but this is an old, dated hotel, fine if you have the right expectations. Very friendly service. Responsive to our request for extra blankets. Breakfast average. Very cold in the room, and strangely heat didn’t come on until the morning. Safe didn’t work.

The main problems here are the breakfast and the facilities to qualify it as a 5 star hotel. The breakfast is really not good, the coffee is awful (and I'm really not fussy about coffee) and the rest of the food offered is average at best. The wellness center must be booked in advance even to use the sauna which costs extra. The location is undeniably excellent however, with a great vista of the Danube atop the epic historic Fortress setting and free ample parking. The rooms are definitely on the dated side, I get that that is in theme with the surroundings but, there was definitely a slightly stale musty scent to some parts of the room. Overall, if you are happy with the location alone then you should have a good stay but if you're looking for the complete 5 star package then this is not the place at the moment.
