While researching this hotel, I had read some reviews claiming that positive reviews were purchased, which I didn’t really believe — until we personally experienced it with the “we’ll consider a refund if you delete your review” offer.
During our stay, the weather in Paris was extremely cold, and our room stayed around 18–19°C. We were traveling with our 20-month-old child, and despite repeatedly requesting more heating, no solution was provided. We all became ill and were forced to cut our holiday short by 1 day. For this reason, we only requested a refund for the night we didn’t stay.
Why families with young children should think twice:
• Breakfast was the same every day, with almost no variety. We were often left hungry. There was barely anything our child could eat, so they didn’t get adequate nutrition.
• The elevator exists only on paper. Two people could barely fit, and it moved slower than a walking pace. If you want to call that an elevator… sure, go ahead.
• Families with children naturally need to go in and out of the room frequently, yet the “family rooms” were assigned to the top floor. A complete disaster.
• Towels marked as “clean” in the bathroom had hair on them, and there were also hairs in the bathroom itself. Cleaning was clearly inadequate.
• I can’t speak for all the front desk staff, but most were extremely surly, their English was poor, and they acted as if they were being held there at gunpoint. They did not want to help. The most incompetent guest relations team I’ve ever seen.
Anyone booking based on reviews — especially families with young children — should think twice.
