My mother and I spent only one night at this hotel. We were only transiting and leaving very early the next morning. The owner is a very nice woman. We enjoyed a good conversation. She made sure we were all set and helped find a nice place to go eat nearby. We also enjoyed the company of nice furry friends (cats). I definitely enjoyed staying at this hotel. I will be back ! I will only recommend renting a car.

We stayed here for a week in September 2013. The room was very pleasant, and while the kitchenette would not be suitable to produce an elaborate meal, it is suitable for preparing light meals and snacks. The grounds and pool were absolutely lovely. If you are relying on public transport the location may be a bit difficult, but with a car it is a great base for exploring Guadeloupe. Florence and Bertrand were helpful and pleasnat hosts.

We started our trip to Guadeloupe here and it was a great find! We didn't love Gosier but there are beaches and restaurants you can drive to near the hotel and it is a great place to use as a base to explore the island. The pool is lovely and the hotel is so calm it was a lovely place to relax in the evenings. Breakfast was served around a big communal table and it was great to meet the other guests! The owner was also very helpful with all our questions!

We were very pleased with our stay. Florence, the owner, welcome us like at home and served goods from the varden for breakfast. The rooms are clean, very cozy and all created with personal owner's touch.||The area is surrounded with nature and is very peaceful.||Highly recommended.

We stayed in this hotel for just over a week in April 2012 and chose it based on the good reviews we had read about it and are sorry to say we were very disappointed. We reserved ahead of time and, as resquested, informed the owners of our arrival time in advance but they were not there to let us in. Their son let us in but failed to give us any details about the room which led to us getting shouted at by Florence the morning after for attempting to open our kitchenette incorrectly. ||||The breakfast is simply a piece of baguette and a glass of supermarket juice and coffee (that was often cold when we arrived to eat but was not refreshed). On the first morning the owner, Florence, barely acknowledged that we (2 new guests booked in for over a week) were there. So much for the warm welcome!!! Breakfast is supposed to be from 7-9am but when we arrived to eat on the second morning at 8.50 we were told we were too late and were reluctantly given the lukewarm jug of coffee to finish off. The next day when we arrived at 8.45 there were some sarcastic comments about us coming late. I don't think it takes that long for her to slice a piece of baguette!! For the remainder of the time we came at about 8am and Florence commented on how much more pleasant it is to get up early, etc. After taking a long haul flight to enjoy our VACATION we did not appreciate the comments about having a "merienda" habit.||||Florence told us that it was easier to hire a car to get around and, while she is right, we do not have driving licences so it was not possible for us to do so. Every day then we had to endure comments from her about how you really should have a car to get around and how the holiday would be much better if we had a car. Ok, but it's our holiday and let us enjoy it how we want! ||||In the evening time we could hear the family rowing in their house (which is part of the hotel complex) and the bad temper was evident at times. Bernard barely spoke to us when we were there and Florence, when she did talk to us, did so usually to chastise us. ||||On the day of check out, we were taking our bags out of the room at 11.07am (check out is at 11am) when she shouted at us from across the pool to hurry up as they needed to clean the room. We noted that a family in another room checked out about 10 minutes later without similar treatment. We got the distinct impression that she favoured francophones (we are non-native but fluent french speakers) as she appeared to be more friendly to them in the hotel.||||The hotel itself is nice, there is a small pool and a relaxation area and the rooms are simple but nice, with air con. The flowers and the birds in the garden are lovely and it is quiet at night. The only drawback is the attitude of the owner and that is enough for us to suggest that if you are thinking about staying here that you should keep looking.

We arrived for just one night and thanks to the owners advice we were able to discover the whole island - eating and seeing local stuff - instead of tourist traps.. They organised us a very reasonable car hire and helped with finding accomadation on Basse-Terre and Marie-Galante.||Studio and rooms are clean and very well presented, possibility to cook simple meals. Pool is fab at anytime of day or night (u just have to keep the noise down for the other guests!)||Book ahead they're are quite rightly often fully-booked!

i agree with both the positive and negative reviews but basically this B&B does what it says on the tin. breakfast is "basic" but we found the owners very helpful, the room very attractive and the pool wonderful. a very decent base camp for your guadeloupe explorations. and it's nice and quiet.

I stayed there 3 days and truly enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere: it is rather small has a very nice little garden, a small pool to cool down and all the basics you need as a hop off place to explore the island. I appreciated the walking distance (10min) to the beach of gozier and the restaurants as i had no rental car. Bus connections work during the week even to the airport (nothing though on sunday). The best though i found was the one big breakfast table in the morning to start the day with. For me as a backpacker and single traveller that ingnitiated my day!
