Great short stay in this wonderful seaside town in Hotel Brises. Appreciated the sea view of sailboats and wind surfers and then the next morning the waterscape change. The room is a right sized and updated with water themes and comfortable. Two comfortable chairs and a table (no desk). Parking available. The city center is a short drive away, and we wished we had arranged to stay two nights.

A 20 minute walk before you hit any bars or restaurants but still a beautiful location right on the beach. Rooms are clean and balcony overlooks the water, separate shower and toilet room. Served its purpose for us for the night. Dog friendly is a huge plus !!!

I would highly recommend this hotel. It is a 20 minute walk to the city centre/port, the staff are very attentive and speak excellent English. Very reasonably priced. You can swim directly from the hotel decking in the sea, great way to cool off as it was 35 degrees when we went. Rooms are fine, my only negative would be that they don't have air con in the rooms, however they stayed cool enough to sleep, I struggle in the heat and I was fine. Excellent place!

Quiet hotel within easy walking distance from old town. Great location right at the sea. High quality furniture, windows, double doors etc. Good (continental) breakfast starting 7am. However visitors should ve aware, that there is no pool or beach directly at the hotel.

The hotel is clean, the staff efficient and helpful and the location is spectacular, with views across the bay, though it is a little way into town to find the restaurants. I did think the breakfast was a bit expensive for a buffet breakfast that was fine though not exceptional (The meat could have done with being covered) and that plus the parking, plus the tourist tax (all payable at the hotel) does push up the cost a bit. Just take those into consideration when booking.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel incredibly welcome. They were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. The room was spotless and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was warm and inviting. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch stay!

Les Brises is about one kilometre westwards on the coastal path from the main beach in La Rochelle. So be aware that you’re going to have a “walking” holiday if you wanted to visit the old town or the marina. We were happy with that and the accessibility was marvellous, Google maps and we were away. The hotel was clean tidy and the reception staff were very helpful. We had an issue with our toilet and they were very apologetic and got offending article fixed quickly. The rooms were very comfortable, but the lack of air conditioning on a south facing room was noticeable. But writing this in a wet England, I’d take the heat, the food and the wonderful welcome every time. It was a great base to explore from and certainly a place to return to in years to come.

Amazing view from the room. The room was tidy and small but cute. However the restroom|Is extremely small and is separate from the shower area. The breakfast was small and not the best but very friendly staff , a|Bit far from|The city centre but perfect views !

Very good hotel - clean, calm with caring employees - and an awesome sea view.
