Hôtel Les Charmettes

We stayed here a couple of years ago and liked it so much we returned. The hotel is quaint and in a lovely setting looking on to sand and sea. However, food this time was very disappointing, My choice of mackerel was almost inedible (although my husband's choice of mussels was fine). We didn't get much of a response when we told the restaurant staff so unfortunately this tarnished an otherwise good experience.

We stayed at this gorgeous hotel for 1 night with friends before catching the ferry home to the UK.|We arrived to glorious hot sunshine and so headed straight to the beach bar! |Then a stroll along the promenade to the old town of St Malo (took about 25 mins slow walk, all flat).|Dinner at the hotel’s beachside restaurant was brilliant and as others have said, the sunset was amazing.|The rooms are compact but perfectly adequate for 1 night and very clean. The only thing I would say was ours was on the top floor and the room was very hot. It would have been nice to have had a fan in the room!|But the breakfast made up for it! Huge selection, all self service and in a lovely room overlooking the beach again.|Thank you for an excellent stay!

Lovely location and beautiful sea views. Easy walk to St Malo old town along the sea front. Comfortable, well appointed room, would definitely stay again.

Love this hotel very much. The view from the room is beautiful. There is a parking. Can walk to the city 25 mins. The restaurant and breakfast is very nice as well. The staff are attentive and friendly. Perfect!!!!!!

I loved this little hotel, great staff, nice individual touches throughout both the hotel and on site restaurant . I recommend you book an on site parking bay as it seems impossible to park on the adjoining streets - I would definitely recommend- thank you to the staff who were lovely especially to a solo traveler.

Loved loved this hotel and location. Beautiful 20 min walk along the beach front to the historic center. Spectacular view all the way.

Great location and parking was easy. EASY walk to old city along the promenade. Service was excellent; helped us find nearby laundromat. Restaurant was also surprisingly good. And the view!!!

The hotel and amenities were excellent. The swimming lobster wind ornament is one of the most charming things I have ever seen!
