Hôtel Les Chevaliers

An absolute pleasure staying here, the owner was so lovely and extremely helpful. The hotel and our room were spotlessly clean, room 12 was like our own little apartment, right at the top of this historic building. |We would definitely stay here again if we were to ever pass through Laon.

There was a big fire in this hotel. I arrived and couldn’t check in. I was very desperate and talked with policemen about the situation, the owner of this hotel came and helped me to find an alternative. Even though I didn’t get to experience to sleep in this hotel, for this action alone, the owner deserves all my respect and grace. This is what you call a service. Merci beaucoup! Hopefully, your hotel gets fixed soon. I wish you many customers.

Hotel was run down, paint peeling on walls, no amenities. Lots of clutter in common spaces. Very minimal breakfast. Staff was pleasant however and location is excellent.

Fantastic host! We absolutely loved staying here, as non French speakers we had no problem chatting with the owner. Very qwerky place, lots of exposed timber and original features. Parked just round the corner from the hotel (1 min walk), we were given a blue badge to put in the car so parking was free. Great French restaurant opposite the square. The room was full of old beams and had a spacious cosy atmosphere, would definitely go back.

Comfortable, characterful room at a moderate price. Extremely helpful and welcoming reception staff. Sited in the centre of Laon’s old town with free parking nearby.||Only drawback was there is no air-conditioning in the room we stayed in, though we didn’t need it as the temperature was cool for the time of year.

This hotel was a real find. Recently renovated the room was spacious and bed comfortable. Nice touches in this old but stylish property. The host was friendly and courteous and gave good recommendations for dinner. Breakfast was good and I can recommend the coffee. The city is renovating the building opposite but this caused no trouble. We will stop here again on our next trip.

Centrally located, close/walking distance to all the main sites - cathedral, ramparts, many restaurants. Cozy, quiet, intimate. Front desk person was super friendly, helpful and had many suggestions on what to do and see - also helpful with the luggage as there is no lift - he also does the breakfast. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend. Slight drawback is the street in front is under renovation/repair and parking is at the corner of the street in front of the Hotel de Ville (which is sometimes full), but there is ample street parking in the area.
