Les Dames Du Panthéon (Paris, Île-de-France) 30 Hotel Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Not many hotels, in Paris or anywhere else, take a stance on anything overtly political, unless “more conveniently placed power outlets please, and light switches that make sense” is your idea of a revolutionary rallying cry. (Now that you mention it….) But for a woman who owns a boutique hotel which faces onto the Pantheon, that famous monument to the French history’s great men — and only men, aside from Marie Curie — it would have been difficult to remain silent. The result is Les Dames du Pantheon, which Corinne Moncelli has dedicated to the “free, independent women” who’d be in the Pantheon if she were doing the choosing." - Tablet Hotels

As its name implies, Hotel les Dames du Panthéon (HDP) is located adjacent to the renown Paris Panthéon, and just three blocks up from the Luxembourg Gardens (Jardin du Luxembourg). There are several great cafes and taverns in every direction from the Hotel, not to mention close proximity to the Metro underground, bus lines and rail systems. So, HDP is not only convenient for travelers, it is near desirable landmarks.||||The staff are friendly and helpful, and speak better English than I will ever speak French...by a mile. Special shoutout to Caroline who was on duty most often as we entered and exited the Hotel. Caroline provided helpful local knowledge, and was a polite host. ||||Our room was nicely appointed in that cozy European fashion one should expect, and we appreciated the opening windows into the back courtyard which allow ample fresh air without much city noise.||||HDP has a small lobby bar stocked with nice wines and spirits, and the staff are always ready to fill a glass for you if you ask. They also have a few newspapers and magazines in a couple of languages originating from both near and far. ||||OK, peculiar detail here, but I was amazed at how clean the HDP and nearby restaurants manage to keep their windows. I didn't witness window washers at work, but they must have elves that come out at night since you cannot find as much as a fingerprint on any piece of glass in sight: windows, doors, wine glasses...eye glasses.||||Hotels in Paris are not inexpensive, but we got to visit a few others along our way and in comparing what they were charging compared to what we paid, I would say HDP was well-situated in the upper middle of the pack. ||||I noticed France has a very public rating system whereby hotels have red square placards outside their entryways that clearly state their star ratings, and HPD's 4-star stood out. Not too many we saw were above 3 stars, so that speaks to the persistent quality of Hotel les Dames du Panthéon. You can research Atout France to learn about France's tourist accommodation rating system. I uploaded an example of a 4-star placard like the one mounted on the entryway of HDP.

My husband, my 2 teenage boys, and I stayed here for 6 nights just recently. We arrived a bit early and the hotel took our luggage for us. We grabbed a bite to eat, and our room was ready at the time promised and our luggage had been taken to our room. We had one of the family rooms, which is 2 adjoining rooms. We were welcomed with a nice note, bottles of fresh juice, and a delicious chocolate bar. There was also bottled water in the fridge and an espresso machine in the room. The mattresses and bedding were very comfortable. We all slept so good every night. We loved that the curtains could be shut, letting almost no light in. The windows also opened, but we slept with them closed. (There is AC.) The water pressure in the shower was amazing, and since the shower door runs as tall as the shower, the entire bathroom did NOT fog up! There is a heated towel rack, but it wasn't cold when we were there. We appreciated the separate toilet room. We made good use of the closet space, which held our luggage and had plenty of hangers. Shampoo, body wash, hand soap, an amenity kit (cotton pads, shower cap, ear swabs, makeup sponge), washcloths, and a hair dryer were available. I also got an iron and ironing board from the reception one morning. Everyone we spoke with at reception was always so cheerful and helpful. We really liked the hotel location. It's away from the busiest areas, and the Luxembourg station is a short walk. The Boulangerie Moderne just around the corner was our go to spot for breakfast every morning. Prices were great and it was delicious. There are also some great places to eat very close by. Umbrellas were also available for guest use. Overall, we loved our stay here and would definitely stay here again!

We had a great stay at this hotel across the street from the Pantheon. It is well situated walking distance to Notre Dame and Luxembourg Gardens. Our room was comfortable and quiet with a king bed and ample bathroom. Breakfast was very generous with many selections. The front desk staff, especially Caroline, were extremely helpful on check-in and during our stay. She was helpful to answer our questions and concerns about the strike one day of our stay, what to avoid and what would be open. Her input was invaluable! She was cheerful and helpful through the whole stay. It has no parking but there is a garage one block from the hotel. Lots of restaurants nearby.

We loved our stay and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Paris! The decor is lovely and has a lot of character, feels very classically french. The views from the rooms are spectacular since it is up on the hill. Very walk-able to everything Paris has to offer- amazing restaurants and lots to do.

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel les Dames du Pantheon for a quick vacation in Paris. We had never visited before and really had no good idea where we wanted to stay. I could not have been happier with our choice. As a last minute splurge we upgraded our room to the Panoramic Pantheon view and we were very happy with the choice - We had a lovely view of the square in front of the Pantheon with windows we were able to open to allow cross-flow ventilation on a couple of beautiful spring days. The staff were wonderful, always greeting us with a smile and helping us with any questions. The breakfast wasn't amazing, but it was much, much better than you would get at a breakfast-included buffet at a US chain like Holiday Inn Express. Our breakfast hosts were cheerful and promptly brought out pots of excellent, rich, US-style coffee. The bathroom was small, but had a large shower with good temperature controls. The soaps provided weren't great, we had to go buy conditioner to use for our hair. The bath was very clean with a towel warmer but the lighting was very low. It was very hard to see to shave or apply makeup. The Bed didn't feel luxurious when you laid down, but I found it very comfortable to sleep on, my wife thought the pillows were a little flat. The location was excellent with easy access to transport and walking distance to many good restaurants and groceries.

When I checked in, I was offered an upgrade to a room with a view of the Pantheon. In an out of character move, I chose to accept it and I'm SO glad I did. What a joy it was to wake up, look out the window, and see the Pantheon and the surrounding area. In all other respects, all was well. I found the shower kind of confusing and suggest that instruction might be helpful. The people at the front desk were uniformly great!

My wife and I had such a great experience at Les Dames Du Pantheon! We were in Paris for our anniversary and couldn't have asked for more. The front desk staff were so friendly and helpful. The views from the room were so beautiful and we could see the majestic Panteon right outside the window. The hotel is in a great location and well connected (RER is a little further out, but buses come all the way to Pantheon which is like a 1 min walk). There are lots of cafes and restaurants around and just taking a stroll around the neighborhood in the morning is one of the best experiences to get a feel for the city. Highly recommend the hotel if you're staying in the 5th Arr.

We enjoyed our 3 night stay at this lovely little boutique hotel. It was in a very convenient location, 15 min walk to Notre Dame or a quick cab ride. Caroline and the rest of the staff were very friendly and took care of all our needs, including offering suggestion of how to book a local doctor through an app called Doctolib. Rooms were sparkling clean and the beds we comfortable (more on the firm side). The superior rooms facing the Pantheon were large by Paris standards and had high celings with wooden beams. Bathrooms were on the smaller side, but the fixtures were high quality and there was hot water that came out quickly and good water pressure. Breakfast buffet was high quality. If you like having a more personalised stay rather than a big 4 star, do stay here.

Yelp
We stayed at this boutique hotel for the last leg of our trip and it was absolutely perfect. Many people say the rooms are small but I didn't find them to be that small compared to any other European hotel. It was in a great location and the staff were all so nice and welcoming. They do have an elevator but it can be quite slow at peak hours since there is only 1 and it is small. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Paris and would definitely stay here again!

Yelp
The hotel and staff were amazing. It's a beautiful location the rooms are, though small (welcome to Paris), are styled so cozy and welcoming. The inside of the hotel is simply gorgeous. It's right across from the Pantheon so it might get a little noisy with the crowds outside, but I definitely wouldn't say that it was a nuisance. Just the nature of city living. We stayed there for over a week and got to know the staff very well. I'd have to say they were one of my favorite parts of my trip, especially the manager and Caroline. Both were so kind. My husband and I wanted to make sure we got a chance to thank them for their hospitality, tell them goodbye and that we will be back as soon as possible knowing they would not be there when we checked out the next day. There are so many amazing little cafes just around each corner. To sum it up, I'm so glad we chose this place and were able to make this part of our whole Paris experience. They definitely have a customer for life.

Yelp
Not sure if all the other reviewers have hearing loss because there's LOUD music and drunk crowds yelling out in the Pantheon courtyard directly in front of the hotel every night past 2am, 3am, including weeknights--are there no noise ordinances here? Besides that, the hotel is not worth the 4 star rating or prices. You can do better.

Yelp
Amazing hotel. Within walking distance of most of the main Paris sites. Small rooms though. Great service.

Yelp
You maybe able to find another hotel a little cheaper, but this hotel is right across the street from the Pantheon and located in a cool part of the Latin Quarter. The hotel itself is premium boutique style establishment but worth every penny at the end of the day. The staff also speak English and are very friendly. You want to take in the French culture, you need to stay here. Yo will not regret it!!!

Yelp
Very nice boutique hotel. Nicely done with high quality details and finishes. Beautiful location in the middle of everything - attractions, shopping, restaurants, bakeries. Metro station is two short blocks away. Gorgeous Luxembourg gardens are right there too. Oh, did I mention a great service from very sweet young people at the front desk.

Yelp
I stayed a few years back and would return again. I've stayed in a few hotels around Paris and this is probably my favorite thus far although there are things I'd like to have improved. Upon a first look, it seems just about impossible to think of any improvement. This place (at least a few years ago) is so polished, well decorated and the attention to detail (in aesthetics) is top notch, totally on point. The lobby and sitting area, the rooms and hallways, the breakfast room.. there is no area I noticed that was overlooked or seemed like it had been 'left behind' in the decorating department. For me, the aesthetic and quality of my environment is important. I think they've nailed it in terms of offering a beautiful hotel with a luxurious feeling at a more affordable price and with a small, boutique setting. My room was small-ish, which is standard in Paris but it worked just fine. The gorgeous factor was through the roof! It was in a soft palette, with light blues, greens and pinks in what I think is a Louis XIV or XVI style. Impracticalities arose a few times- I needed to iron a few instances and that was tough. Also, I hunted to find enough plug outlets in the right places (near mirrors and with a surface to set something on). The bathroom however was sort of enormous for Parisian standards- I loved it. A beautiful console sink allowed me to prepare without getting water all over the floor (as many budget hotels have minuscule sinks which leave water splashing all over the place). I could take a bath and shower as well! I was disappointed that they put me in the back of the hotel facing an inner light well/ space between this hotel and adjacent buildings; it wasn't necessary as the hotel wasn't anywhere near booked up. I'm not sure why, but I wish they would have discounted the price for this. I didn't have much of a view and for someone visiting Paris, it would have been nice to look out of my room and see PARIS. When I engaged one of the gentlemen working the front desk (I believe he was from Morocco originally), he was very nice and helpful with superb English. Also, a woman working in the breakfast room was very sweet even though English wasn't strong for her; I appreciated her helpfulness and willingness to help me even though I couldn't speak French. Speaking of breakfast, I was impressed with the quality of each item- butter, cream, milk, bread, eggs from certain small farms and organic was indicated which matters to me. I thought the prices were about fair for a breakfast although the hotel I previously stayed at had a much nicer and wider variety of breakfast for the price, a beautiful room and they also ran specials in which breakfast was included. Some of the other employees and a woman I was told was one of the managers seemed curt and cold, not friendly to me while I was waiting in the lobby to be helped. All in all, I would return and hope to find it just as charming as before, maybe more as some of these small issues have hopefully been ironed out. Other pluses are the short walking distance to a Metro stop and so many other neighborhoods and sights. This hotel is in a great location- I felt safe walking around, it was quiet and in a clean part of the city. It would be fun to try different styles of rooms and different floors, hopefully facing the Pantheon or a nicer view next time, and with a little balcony. Thank you HDDP for my lovely stay and positive experience.. I love the beauty of this little gem box.

Yelp
We stayed at this hotel for the first 3 nights of our European tour, which included also Barcelona, Munich & Mannheim and Amsterdam. What can I say but WOW! Our room was on the 5th floor with a balcony which faced the plaza below...the perfect spot for petit dejeuner in the am or fresh fruits in the evening. The fact that this hotel is right next to a monument makes it also easy to find, but also quiet at night as there is not much traffic in the square. A fine cafe is right nearby, serving amazing (sometimes hot) freshly made croissants. I would absolutely stay here again should I visit Paris in the future and I also highly recommend it. We spent a lot of time walking around Paris, so if you don't mind walking, Notre Dame and the Louvre museum are both a nice walk from the hotel. The Eiffel Tower on the other hand, while it can be seen from the plaza out front, is more like a cab ride or metro ride.

Yelp
My wife and I chose this hotel for our second honeymoon. We loved it! It's a small, personal hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is tastefully decorated. Everything was exceptionally well maintained. Details were carefully tended to. The room was of modest size, but included a small desk and chair, as well as an easy chair. The bathroom was lovely. We booked a room with a balcony which was amazing! I loved sitting out on the balcony each morning overlooking the Pantheon and sipping my espresso (there was an espresso maker in my room). The location was a mixed blessing. While you are right on top of the Pantheon, your a bit of a ways to everything else you will likely want to see. The benefit of this is you are on the edge of the tourist zone. You kind of have the sense that there are some locals living around you. We're really happy we chose this hotel. It was worth the higher room rate for our special occasion.

Yelp
I'm going to give this place 5 stars. It's not one of those massive luxury hotels where Prince rents a whole floor, it's a very tidy and classy "boutique" hotel. This place is clean, organized, and elegantly appointed. The staff are exemplary. They are friendly and gracious hosts. The location is perfect. It's a very nice neighborhood in the Latin Quarter. There are a lot of good bars and restaurants within walking distance. I recommend The Bombardier Pub, it's right around the way from the hotel, on the other side of the Pantheon. It's a great place to begin or end a night in Paris because it's so close to the hotel. There are some really good French restaurants in this area, take time to look around, check out the menus, and pick out a place that suits you. DON'T RUSH! Relax, and enjoy and EXPERIENCE Paris.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed at the Hotel du Pantheon for part of our anniversary trip in October. We loved it! Our room had an amazing view of the Pantheon. The room was charming and the concierge was very helpful with dinner reservations. The neighborhood has lots of great cafes and is only a block away from the Luxembourg Gardens. I would love to stay there again.

Yelp
great location for a tourists stay in the city. we travelled far and wide from this location with little trouble. staff could do with lessons in helpfulness but hey!
