This is one for connoisseurs of small French hotels. A beautifully restored early 19th-century house with interior décor sensitive to the period. Extremely comfortable and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Beautifully positioned on the approaches to the basilica it is fronted by a small wisteria-laden garden. A wonderful place to stay in Vézelay.

A lovely Boutique-hotel, with beautiful rooms, each decorated differently with lots of love and style. Perfect and attentive service with charme and heart. A very generous and delicious breakfeast (best omelette I ever had!) in the two cosy and at the same time elegant salons. A wonderful place to relax and enjoy delicous wines at the cosy bar or in the romantic garden-terrace as well as to discover the pitoresque village, visit the amazing cathedral and the beautiful environment.

This hotel makes you feel so relaxed and at home. Beautiful entrance, stair cases and rooms. Our room was so well designed that again it made us feel relaxed. Vezelay is very special. From the hotel just walk a few metres up to see the basilica, inside or outside, at any time of day and hear the beautiful singing. Restaurants are also excellent.

Lovely big room with large windows and belle epoque furnishings. Good breakfast and helpful manageress. Excellent dinner at partner restaurant.|Room had a very limited view and finding the hotel and parking was a bit of a nightmare. No bar on the night of my visit so not a full five for a £230 night

Excellent location and spacious, comfortable rooms. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I particularly enjoyed having breakfast on the terrace. The only minor drawback is the parking, which is located outside the city center — but that’s understandable given the pedestrian zone and cannot be changed.

Lovely hotel, charming, and very nice welcome. Two caveats to staying: 1) the hotel doors all slam quite loudly, and there are three doors for the two rooms 103 and 104; our stay was very much marred by the constant slamming of doors. 2) A thoughtful plate of ham and cheese for myself and my boy (late return in the evening), plus a regular hotel breakfast were billed at 68 euros; best to eat elsewhere, despite the lovely terrace.

This is a wonderful place in a wonderful town. The room was very comfortable and modernized with everything we could need. There’s even an elevator which was very convenient. The town of Vézelay is Very charming! The beautiful basilica of St Mary Magdalene is within a two minute walk away. Made it very convenient to see all the stars at night and wake up at 7am for the morning matins sung in Gregorian chant. And there is a wonderful restaurant right across as way as well. One of my favorite one night stays of our two week trip.

A perfect and delightful stay at Les Glycines which is well placed on the hill top historic village of Vezelay. The beautiful terrace leads to the well appointed hotel building where the reception was most welcoming and helpful. We had a small but, for us, perfect bedroom which was well fitted out and supported. The breakfast was plentiful and available in a pleasant setting. We had a memorable stay and already miss our stay at Vezelay.

This was a great place to stay. Awesome location close to the monastery. Beautiful spacious room with a lovely canopy bed. The associated restaurant was wonderful, a must to enjoy a good meal. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend!!

Yelp
This charming hotel was perfect for us to venture out on our day trips from. There are a couple of nice restaurants within walking distance. The town itself had so much to see in it also. Great views from our room. Clean and the staff was attentive in this converted centuries old mansion.
