This is a wonderful place in a wonderful town. The room was very comfortable and modernized with everything we could need. There’s even an elevator which was very convenient. The town of Vézelay is Very charming! The beautiful basilica of St Mary Magdalene is within a two minute walk away. Made it very convenient to see all the stars at night and wake up at 7am for the morning matins sung in Gregorian chant. And there is a wonderful restaurant right across as way as well. One of my favorite one night stays of our two week trip.

A perfect and delightful stay at Les Glycines which is well placed on the hill top historic village of Vezelay. The beautiful terrace leads to the well appointed hotel building where the reception was most welcoming and helpful. We had a small but, for us, perfect bedroom which was well fitted out and supported. The breakfast was plentiful and available in a pleasant setting. We had a memorable stay and already miss our stay at Vezelay.

This is a wonderful hotel right in the heart of Vezelay. It is a little complicated to get to, but the instructions provided helped us make it just fine. You can drop off your luggage after driving up the hill on the "residents only" road. Then you park about a 1/2 km away. The hotel host/manager was very welcoming and helpful. She made dinner reservations for us and provided other local insights. The room was an eclectic combination of 18th century decor with a marvelous, modern bathroom. It was very quiet The hotel is located just a block down from the famous basilica. We skipped the breakfast which was offered at 19 euros as we had eaten late the night before.

The village, in particular the World Heritage Basilica was recommended to us. The village is small and very quaint sitting at the top of a hill with magnificent views across the countryside below. The hotel is a lovely old house in the heart of the village close to the Basilica. Parking is about a 3 minute walk away but you are welcome to drop off/pick up people/luggage at their door. Rooms are well equipped with comfortable beds and nice en-suites. This is a very old building and has a rustic charm about it. The person at reception was very friendly and efficient. Breakfast was buffet style and good with a selection of local cheeses, meats, some hot options, fresh bread and other bakery items. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant but there are plenty of options nearby although the options are more limited out of season.

Our second time staying at the lovely Les Glycines. I was really looking forward to returning and as expected it didn't disappoint. Perfect location near the basilica. Beautiful room, comfortable beds, spotlessly clean, excellent bathroom. Breakfast is substantial and tasty and the service is welcoming and friendly. And like the first time we were there when the music festival was being held - not to be missed. I would 100% recommend staying here.

Lovely room & property. Welcoming hosts, English speakers, very helpful & kind. Beautiful breakfast! It is worth the fee, At evening that space becomes a bar for drinks & conversation. Great opportunity for meeting fellow travelers from all over. This was just delightful!

Excellent location, right next to the Basilica. Very quiet, we could sleep with our windows open. Beautiful rooms (we had the Paul Claudel) in a beautiful, 18th century house. Liberté at the reception desk could not have been more helpful, both by email and in person. Everyone was lovely. ||My only reservation is that the (160cm) bed had a moderate dip in the middle, which made it harder for my husband and I to sleep because we had to keep ourselves from rolling towards the middle. ||On the whole, a lovely experience and truly lovely staff.

Yelp
This was a great place to stay. Awesome location close to the monastery. Beautiful spacious room with a lovely canopy bed. The associated restaurant was wonderful, a must to enjoy a good meal. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend!!

Yelp
This charming hotel was perfect for us to venture out on our day trips from. There are a couple of nice restaurants within walking distance. The town itself had so much to see in it also. Great views from our room. Clean and the staff was attentive in this converted centuries old mansion.
