Very spacious and confortable bedding in an antique heritage building. The building has a history and it is very knowledgeable for history lovers. The location is very conveniant if you wish to visit the city Auxerre. The breakfast served came from the local farmers. It is a family owned bussiness and the owners are present to serve you at their very best.

This hotel was so relaxing, full of history. Idyllic reading in the garden sound of birds n the background. The owners work very hard to welcome you, their attention to detail with a gorgeous breakfast. All produce sourced locally, strawberries were so big & sweet. Still too early for the swimming pool however we hope for a dip in it when we will definitely return later in the summer. Ten minute walk into town, Auxerre town is beautiful, quaint with lots of history you never get tired of. Highly recommend

I can't recommend this hotel. It is a beautiful old building, the rooms are clean and the breakfast was good. However, we slept really bad cause of the street next to the room and the old seal of the walls. But the thing which really annoyed us was that we were not allowed to switch the room right after check in although there was a free room on the not-street side. Their explanation for this were administrative reasons that the room was already paid (why did we even have to pay at the arrival?). The hosts were not customer-friendly, they generally seemed a little reserved to us

This a great hotel in a great location and good value. The hotel information clearly states that they are still in the process of renovating but the rooms and guest areas are perfectly clean and in-keeping with the style of the building. It is a family-run hotel with professional and friendly staff and service. Dining chairs and tables are all cleaned down after each guest at breakfast, and the pool area was well-maintained. We would definitely go b back if in the area.

A truly unique wonderful hotel. Loads of character and a fascinating history around the hotel. The hotel is lovingly looked after and I would love to visit again. The owners were very friendly and the room was lovely and clean. The hotel is an easy 10-15 minute walk to the city centre.

Not a good first impression, Front of the hotel was full of weeds . All the window shutters were rotten and needed renewing or painting, Wanted paying for breakfast next day , Already had taken payment for the stay 2 days before? A/c was broken ,So a mobile one was put in the room , Had to switch it off as to noisy, The owners wife asked us to park between the lines in the car park , Which we did . An hour later he came up while we was sitting by the pool , Shouting you haven’t parked correctly ? I moved my car which was 2 inches over the line , Strange as a German car was parked in 2 bays , The only thing that was good was the breakfast!

Spent one night here, an ideal stop off to break the journey from Annecy to Cherbourg. Beautiful 160 year old renovated house, run by a lovely couple who seem to be putting heart and soul into this project. We had a large, comfortable room at the front facing the street but there was very little noise from traffic and almost no noise from the hotel itself. The bed was really comfortable, extra pillows available. The furniture is dark and in keeping with the house. The bathroom was fine, the shower was hot with good pressure. If I could make one suggestion it would be to provide a non slip bath/ shower mat, or a grab rail, as the bath side was quite high, and I felt there was a risk of slipping.|The breakfast was fabulous, with dishes at the buffet being replenished as necessary. The morning was too wet to sit outside but it would have been lovely to sit out in the garden. |Free off street parking. Free WiFi. |A street map was provided at reception with directions to an area in town, within walking distance, where there were several restaurants. |We loved our stay in this hotel, it was a really lovely experience.

The hotel is run by a charming couple Isabelle and Fabien, who are dedicated to turn the hotel into something special. The room we stayed in was nicely renovated and overlooking the garden. Breakfast was served in a beautiful decorated area and consisted of nice local products and a good coffee. The hotel was within walking distance to the town centre. You can park your car in the hotel parking area.If you enjoy walking go to the tourist office and obtain the leaflet " in the footsteps of Cadet Roussel ". By the step-signs in the pavement it will lead you around Auxerre. |We enjoyed Auxerre and the surrounding area, and our stay in this lovely hotel.
