"A charming, pink-painted 19th-century villa featuring a restaurant with views over the Gulf of Ajaccio, offering period charm and seaside panoramas in a small, intimate setting. The property’s historic character and waterside dining make it worth a visit for travelers in the area." - Alexander Lobrano

Lovely boutique hotel in the old style. Exceptional customer service. Location is just outside of the busy central area which makes it a bit quieter which was appreciated. There are bikes you can borrow if you don't feel like walking the 20-30 minutes along the ocean to the town centre. Pool views the ocean with a small private beach if you want to experience the sand. Restaurant is high-end and doesn't disappoint. As well they have many recommendations for excellent restaurants in the area. The boutique experience of this hotel is well worth the price.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay here. Such a romantic and charming place. Our suite was beautiful and very roomy. The food at the on site restaurant was delicious, with consistent great service and incredible views. Highly recommended!

This Hotel is simply superb. It is located just a stones throw away from the busy chaos in central Ajjacio. Wonderful staff fantastic room with a nice sized terrace overlooking the swimming pool and the bay. Despite the busy road that passes the front of the hotel once in the hotel or poolside no noise can be heard. The staff were very friendly and attentive from check in to check out.||We enjoyed a wonderful evening meal in the restaurant eating Al alfresco overlooking the bay.||Quite simply there was nothing to fault during our 5 night stay. We shall be returning.

This small luxury hotel is a gem. The property is impeccably presented, the staff are highly efficient and very friendly. Ajaccio is a nice place to visit for 3 days but our experience was significantly heightened by our stay at Les Mouettes Hotel. Dinner at their Terrace Restaurant was also memorable.

As a self-confessed picky French traveler with a penchant for luxury and Michelin-level service, I was almost *annoyed* by how little I could find to criticize at Hotel Les Mouettes Ajaccio. Our suite was simply gorgeous: a spacious layout with a large, private terrace that felt like my own maisonette. The view—framed by a stately pine (pin parasol) and elegant palm—offered a shaded, panoramic sweep of the sea, the kind you dream about.||The interior design was understated and elegant, with timeless furnishings that managed to feel both chic and comfortable. The air conditioning was blissfully silent (a rarity in even the best hotels), and the suite’s layout provided true separation between the sleeping and living areas, thanks to proper doors—not just a token partition. I especially appreciated the table that doubled as a functional desk for my laptop, perfect for catching up on work without sacrificing style.||Service was a standout: the team delivered what Will Guidara would call “unreasonable hospitality.” The receptionist/concierge seemed to intuitively “get us,” offering recommendations that matched our tastes perfectly. The in-house restaurant was a revelation, serving inventive, creative cuisine with top-notch service, all in a magical waterside setting.||If I must find fault (and I must, as a matter of principle): the hand-held shower head was not height adjustable. That’s it. Otherwise, Hotel Les Mouettes Ajaccio exceeded even my most demanding expectations.

Lovely hotel situated on the waterfront with lovely views of the town & bay. You will need a car or taxi to visit the old city as the hotel is on the other side of the bay.||When the weather is fine meals are served outside on the terrace next to the swimming pool. The pool was heated & very salty. There is also an outdoor jacuzzi. There is access to the hotel’s private beach. ||My guest room was old world European in decor. It was not large but very adequate. I had a private terrace overlooking the water with outdoor lounges & chairs. ||The bed was very comfortable. The bathrooms had a shower over the bathroom which is not the most convenient for some older people, it’s also slippery with the water very slow to drain. Need to be really careful. A non slip mat would be helpful.||There was TV but there were no English speaking stations. Wifi is available throughout. ||Breakfast is table service with a variety of hot & cold food. Dinner at the hotel was inventive & very tasty French cuisine. ||Unfortunately I found the female staff in the bar area & reception not very helpful & miserable. Service seemed to be an effort for them. But overall a nice place to stay if you ignore some of the staff’s arrogance.

We stayed here for five days and had a great experience from the early check-in when we could access our room in the morning because our ferry arrived at 6:00 am 😱 (much appreciated!)|The hotel is elegant, cozy and sophisticated. It’s located close to the city center, it has a heated pool and a small private beach with view on the wonderful gulf.|There is also a restaurant with tables on the terrace.|Staff and housekeeping are impeccable, friendly, and efficient.|There is a small free parking, very handy because parking in Ajaccio is a nightmare. If you want to go to town you'd better walk or take a taxi but I wouldn't drive there.|They have high standards and our stay was very enjoyable.

Yelp
We had a brief 1-night stay in this historic property with 27 rooms, some, like ours with gorgeous sea views and patios. Located right on the water, it is possible to walk to the nondescript old town of Ajaccio in about 30 minutes by simply following the broad path along the sea. We were in room 27, which had a large patio, awesome undated bathroom, large living room plus another room with a king bed. So much space and all of it with killer views. A couple of bottles of water were provided along with high end bath amenities. Things to note: there is no elevator and many rooms are on the 2nd or third floor. Also there is an onsite gastronomy restaurant (I.e. artful food, foam and crazy high prices). While they claim a private beach, depending on the wind, waves and tides it might be only a few feet wide. Some of the staff spoke English but not everyone. Our stay was comfortable and I enjoyed an hour in the sun on our great patio and the amazing views although this stay was our most expensive by far given my splurge for one of the top rooms. In late September it was over 700€. Recommended
