Very disappointed with Hotel Les Nuits in Antwerp, especially given the high ratings (8.3 on Booking, 4.3 on Google). For the price, the quality is lacking. The rooms are poorly designed, with no doors for the bathroom or toilet, and the toilet space was so cramped my husband (180 cm) couldn’t sit comfortably. The room was also extremely noisy, with sounds from the hallway and the busy street outside.
As someone who lives in Paris, I’m used to a noisy city, but I expect to sleep well in an expensive hotel—this was not the case.
Breakfast was another disappointment. It’s extremely basic and overpriced at €25. On the morning of my breakfast a large group of 30 people was having breakfast in a separate room, near the buffet, the doors were open, so the noise was overwhelming for a quiet Saturday morning. When I asked the staff to close the doors, the person in charge was dismissive and said it wasn’t possible because of the passage through the doors. I mentioned that it was a bit much for such an expensive breakfast, and he rudely replied that it wasn’t his fault and he couldn’t control the group.
I stay in many hotels, and the most important thing for me is the room’s acoustics. For over €200 per night, I expected more—at the very least, a quiet, comfortable room and better service during breakfast. Sadly, this stay didn’t meet expectations at all.
