We loved this hotel. It's so interesting! Beautifully renovated, decor is lovely, even down to the details of the cups, bowls and plates used in the breakfast room. Attention to high spec detail has gone in here.||Our room was spacious and clean. The bed huge and comfortable. If I'm being fussy, the pillows were not great, but that's not a reason not to experience this lovely hotel. We had a sauna in our bathroom after all!! ||We didn't eat an evening meal in the restaurants as we didn't book in time unfortunately. However Namur has so many amazing places to eat it didn't matter. Breakfast was really good.. a mix of hot food and continental buffet. Fresh orange juice, good coffee. And the ladies looking after breakfast are a delight. Namur is lovely, if we come again, this hotel is at the top of the list to stay. Make it known if you struggle with stairs, there are lifts but not everywhere.||

There were quite a few items that would have been great to have in the equipped kitchen such as a toaster, coffee cups, dishwasher or at least a dish drainer, a freezer in the refrigerator, cooking knives, a kettle, the broiling rack for the microwave was missing, the privacy curtains were missing behind the blackout curtains so they had to be closed at all times to keep the building from across the street from looking in. When we arrived the soap dispensers were both empty but they were quickly replaced while we were out. We also found a bottle of wine open in the minibar that had been half emptied. We took it down to reception with a note. On checking out, the receptionist kept trying to get us to pay more than our bill as the credit card machine would not allow our card to be used for Euros, only US dollars with an upcharge of 4 percent. There was no option to select anything else. This card has been used all over Europe accepting payment in Euros and this is the first time a hotel has tried to rip us off. We paid with another card instead but this was unacceptable.

Dirty, rude staff, smelly. Dirty. The room was found dirty. Or better it had been cleaned very poorly. There was litter, crumble and hair on the floor. Bedsheets poorly arranged (just pulled over), long black hair on clean towels, some towels already opened. Rude and unprofessional staff. We raised this asap to the receptionist at 6pm, she said she’ll take care, 9pm we’re back and I ask the new receptionist if the problem had been solved. First he was lost, then he checked a note, and asked if we could explain again the problem. He started saying that the cleaning staff is new and hard to find and that probably it was already gone. I ask if the problem has been solved, he just wouldn’t help and treat us in a condescending and rude way, telling us to go check the room ourselves as he doesn’t know, without even apologising and as if all was normal. Upon check out the again new receptionist tells us the total for the room, as if nothing was. I flag that there was a problem with the room and if he could check the note. He does and asks to tell again what’s the problem, while there’s a long queue of people waiting for check out on a Sunday morning. After I explain all, he decides to give 30 euros compensation…I would never go there again. Smelly. There’s a large restaurant on the first floor, probably very good with a Michelin sign, but the whole hotel smelled like food/fish.

We stayed in the new building, and the room was wonderful. Very clean and spacious. Surprised to find full kitchen in entry room that can be closed to bedrooms for early riser to make and enjoy coffee. Bathroom was huge and easily accommodated our daughter who uses a wheelchair. No grab bars so not sure adequate for solo wheelchair traveler, but worked great for us. Great location just a few hundred feet from city center but in a quieter location. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed while on a cycling trip. A unigue historic building incorporating some of the old industrial features but adding stylish comfortable rooms. We found the place very confusing, rather like a giant Escape Room. The staff were very pleasant but we found the restaurant over priced. We would not recommend this hotel for anyone with a physical disability as there are too many steps and narrow corridors to negotaiate.

We got a modern studio. The studio was beautiful but really too dusty, the bed was not so clean and for a 4 stars you could expect more ! The sofa bed was also extremely cracking each time you moved at night! We put our luggage in and left to visit the town. Only after dinner around 23:30 we saw how dirty it was. So we didn’t have the energy to complain. This morning we told the receptionist and the only feedback we received was « we will tell the cleaning lady! »

Interesting building and centrally situated in Namur. Stayed for a couple of nights on return from Germany. Our experience was as follows:||Reception - Staff were 'cool' in their welcome - minimal communication from front desk staff, no information given about hotel, its facilities, or the town. Did not feel valued or particularly welcome. Customer care could be so much better.|Room - Chose Room 600 which is in a modern new block. Spacious with kitchenette. Wished the website had advised it was on the ground floor as at night cars parked adjacent to windows and during the day felt it necessary to keep curtains drawn as frequent passers-by.|Restaurant- tried to dine at The Grill but were advised by reception staff it was full. Would be helpful to be advised during 'check-in' if dining may be a problem.|Car parking - adjacent to hotel on 'first-come first- serve' basis. We found a space in the car park with a barrier. Additional spaces available but seem to fill up quickly when restaurants open and lots of double parking.

A beautifully restored historic building. The room was spacious quiet and very comfortable. Nice and clean. Lacked extra pillows and asked for more but weren’t delivered. Water pressure in showers in both rooms on 2nd floor was poor. There was a distinct sewerage smell in reception which they were masking with a diffuser but it didn’t really work. The morning receptionist was fab. The breakfast was one of the best I’ve had. Great coffee, freshly squeezed oranges for juice and lots of lovely bread and patisserie. Parking limited. Facilities for refreshments very limited outside of restaurant hours.
