Hotel L'Esplanade

Our stay at Hotel L’Esplanade was unforgettable. The property sits on beautifully landscaped grounds with panoramic views of the ocean and the Grand Case hillside. It feels like a peaceful hideaway, yet it’s only a short walk to the famous restaurant row and beachfront of Grand Case. We loved having the complimentary nightly shuttle, which made dinners out so easy and enjoyable. Our suite was one of the highlights of the trip. It had two private patios, each with its own personality. One overlooked the mountains with lounge chairs perfect for morning reading, and the other offered shaded seating with a stunning ocean view. The daily breakfast was such a treat, especially the fresh pastries and fruit spread that we looked forward to every morning. We also loved that guests at L’Esplanade get complimentary access to the beachfront chairs at their sister property, Le Petit Hotel. Most places charge at least $30 for a pair of chairs, so having this included made our beach days effortless. Daily yoga at Ti Temple was another highlight, with different styles and instructors offered throughout the week. And while we didn’t have time to experience Ti Spa, it was wonderful knowing massage services were available. What truly made our stay special was the kindness of the staff. Everyone was so warm, helpful, and made us feel like family from the moment we arrived with rum punch and a cold towel. Their recommendations, directions, and genuine hospitality elevated every part of our stay. We can’t wait to return and would highly recommend L’Esplanade to anyone visiting St. Martin.

Our stay at Hotel L’Esplanade was nothing short of incredible. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warm and genuine hospitality that instantly made us feel at home. The staff goes above and beyond to make every guest feel cared for, and it truly sets this place apart. The property itself is absolutely stunning. The views overlooking the island and the sea are breathtaking at every hour of the day. We enjoyed having our complimentary breakfast out on the balcony watching the sailboats float by. The lush gardens create a true tropical sanctuary, and the fluttering butterflies add a magical, almost fairy-tale charm to the entire property. We enjoyed lounging by the pool, which felt private and serene — the perfect spot to unwind and order a drink at the pool bar. One of the highlights of our visit was the tranquil temple space dedicated to yoga and meditation. It’s such a thoughtful touch, offering a calming retreat that elevated our whole experience. The on-site spa was also a wonderful option if you’re looking for a massage or some self-care time. There’s so much to enjoy nearby, from beautiful beaches with calm, crystal-clear waters to the convenience of visiting their sister property, Le Petit Hotel, where guests have access to their beachfront chairs. We also loved the complimentary shuttle to the main restaurant strip in Grand Case. With everything from charming local eateries to upscale dining, we found ourselves returning every night. While the walk isn’t far, having the shuttle to take us back after dark was a thoughtful and much-appreciated touch. Hotel L’Esplanade truly embodies the essence of rest, beauty, and elevated hospitality. We can’t wait to return!

We loved our stay at Hotel L'Esplanade! It was so convenient for going out to dinner in Grand Case; every restaurant was a lovely stroll down the hill. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. The welcome package (an add-on) was super fun to arrive to. We took time to enjoy the spa (couples massage), pool, and complimentary yoga classes. Great amenities! The staff (especially Zelie) were delightful and so friendly and helpful. On our next trip to Saint Martin, this is the first place we will look to stay.

We absolutely loved our stay. This property is the perfect balance of rustic charm and luxury. From the scenic views to the welcoming staff, it was nothing short of wonderful. Specific shoutout to Jess, Marie, and Christine, they made my husband and I feel valued throughout our time there. The location of the hotel does require you to walk and/or have a rental car- I feel like I should throw that in because I honestly didn’t know that before booking. But it’s in the food capital of the island, Grand Case, so writhing a few minutes you’re down on the Main Street which is lovely and filled with delicious and beautiful beaches. I definitely recommend this stay for the couple that loves to be a part of the community, in a romantic space, and exploratory but if you aren’t a “walker” it may not be ideal.

Spectacular is an understatement. Just finished our third stay at L’Esplanade. Sure, I can tell you it checks all the boxes: meticulously clean grounds and rooms, comfortable beds with feather pillows, lush tropical grounds, spacious clean bathroom with nice complimentary products, delicious breakfast, easy parking, shuttle service to dinner (there are a lot of stairs), warm staff, etc. Location is fantastic being a short stroll to the main strip of Grand Case for dinner or a beach day. Security is along the walk to dinner and there is a guard at the hotel for peace of mind. L’Esplanade will check all the boxes on paper that you’re looking for, it’s true. Though once you’re actually there, you can appreciate how truly magical this place is. No detail is too small, and the team go above and beyond to make every second of your stay enjoyable and easy. The staff is eager to help with recommendations and reservations from the moment you book until the second you leave. They know what they have is special, and they’re eager to make your valuable time there special too. They’ve created a place that will provide countless special moments. The attention to incorporate the natural beauty of the island into the room with rich woodwork framing your view of Grand Case Bay is just breathtaking. Starting your day off on your balcony with a chocolate croissant, watching sailboats bob in the bay while chimes bellow softly in the island breeze is something you just have to experience. The tranquility of floating in the pool in the afternoon sun and taking in all the vibrant flowers brings an inner peace that can’t be described in any checklist. I’d be remiss to not mention Tí Spa on the property for a massage that will be hard to match anywhere else. I’ve had the privilege to get a signature and a hot stone massage (both from Simone), and both were unbelievable. I felt like I was floating afterwards. Incredible! L’Esplanade will always have my heart, and I can’t recommend it enough.

Excellent work rooms are beautiful view is amazing. What else to say just come and see it !!! Strolling around the pool and catching some Zen in quite atmosphere excellent vibe.Thanks to staff and all working people that keep this place alive. Definitely will come back again.

This is a very special hotel. The well-kept property, the views, the pool, the ability to walk to the beaches, and great restaurants all make this a great place to stay. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Morning breakfast was also a highlight. This is where we will stay every time we visit Grand Case.

My husband and I returned to Lesplenade for our second visit. We brought our 2 friends along this time. I cannot say enough praise about this place. Amazing people, amazing views, rooms and pool. Just steps away from some of the best restaurants and beaches. I highly recommend this hotel.
