Locanda Castagnola / Hotel

This is authentic experience if you are up for that. The location is very neat and has bus stops, a bit of a hilly place, as it is on a steps of mount Bre. The breakfast indeed is very minimalistic but quality. The croissants were great, the water, the butter, the bread and the cheese. Yes, not much green options for those on a diet without milk or bread, but here making an exception didn’t disappoint. Quality coffee, any type you like. Locals come to the breakfast. For the experience it offered would come again. Also, we checked in late, after 21, and they provided super clear instructions on parking and how to get in.

It was a really pleasant stay. Excellent location, the staff is genuinely hospitable! Very clean rooms and comfortable facilities. The hotel also has a restaurant with great food options. I highly recommend it

Great location near bus stop to Lake Como, currency exchange office, funicular ride up Monte Bre. Quiet part of town. Friendly staff, excellent breakfast included. Wonderful chef. Hotel is very close to the lake. We would definitely stay there again when visiting Lugano!

Excellentissimo 👌👌👌🤩🤩🤩 lovely quaint hotel with simple rooms with quality beds, caffetiere nespresso in room, even the soap they put in the bath and shower is quite delicious, and I must say the restaurant is 🤤 delicious. I just did not like that our room was not cleaned nor the bed made, we arrived at night and it was as we left it since the morning. It is a bit far from the busy center of lugano, which for some may be a problem but for me I preferred it because it is more quiet, and also conveniently one minute walk to bus stop that takes you everywhere.

The most charming and friendly hotel in the sweetest little village nearby Lugano. We can warmly recommend this hotel!!
