Hotel Loccumer Hof

Nice location very close to the train station, lots of public transportation nearby, and shopping. Rooms are clean and the staff is very helpful and friendly. My only concern is that there is NO air conditioning in the whole building! It is 90+ degrees today so the room is unbearable. They provided us a fan which helps but the windows barely open so there is no air flow. Do not stay here on hot days it could be unsafe if you have health issues.

The location is great (a few minutes away from the train station, but not right in the middle of busy traffic) and the staff is friendly and helpful. However, the economy rooms are small and dated. The photo I've added was taken from one corner of the room. As a solo traveller who packs light, I had enough space, but travellers with a larger suitcase or more than one may have some difficulty storing items. There is no air conditioning, so if you come during a heat wave like I did, it can get pretty uncomfortable. The bathroom is also small. There was a bit of rust around the sink drain and tap, and the shower door didn't quite open and shut fully. Overall though, it was an okay stay for the price and location.

Ok hotel, very good location, the door to the room does make you feel like your entering a prison cell, the bathroom is very dated and very small. The rooms were very hot no air conditioning so I had to leave the window open all day and night.... and it still felt hot. The rooms were however clean and everything was functional and a huge positive was the free to use safe in the room. A pleasant stay

The rooms are clean and well presented and at a reasonable price too, however the lack of air conditioning has been a bit of an issue as it has been 36°C. Yet, the staff were very happy to provide a fan and were very apologetic. Check in was so easy and the staff also can speak English pretty well if your German isn't up to scratch. It was a shame that the bar and restaurant weren't open due to Coronavirus, but I was still able to enjoy my stay. I would recommend this hot for solo travelers, or small families. With its great location (only a 5 min walk from the Bahnhof and city centre) you'll always be able to find something to pass the time.

Staff were very friendly, parking was secure. The room was clean and reasonably spacious however did not have an iron or air-conditioning. The free small welcome drinks were a nice touch. Breakfast costs extra and was the usual continental selection. Overall an okay but very basic business hotel.

We stayed here once before at the recommendation of a relative who lives in Hannover. We enjoyed our previous stay so had no hesitation in returning this year. Staff are helpful, finding things for us that are not standard in the room, such as an electric kettle (there are coffee makers). The rooms we've stayed in were clean and attractively furnished (not your average bland hotel room), and the bed was comfortable. We stayed during the New Year period so laundry services were not available, but breakfast on 31 Dec was festive with a complimentary glass of champagne. The price is reasonable and it is conveniently close to the train station.

Good hotel. Advise paying for the 'named' rooms . We had air con which was essential in 30+degrees, friends in a standard room didn't which they said was suffocating . Easy walk to train station and links to s and u bahns. Good shopping centre nearby with wide variety of shops and good supermarkets . The areas around the hotel are predominantly Turkish run businesses. Some excellent pastry shops . Some really smart bars and shops in town centre . Very easy to get around on foot .Lost a star for small bath towels !!

Everything (cleanliness, service level, etc.) is perfect. The friendliness and help from the reception desk was high. The room and other areas were clean and tidy. The restaurant was okay. The food is not the best in the world but compare with the price, gives good value for money. I had a small complaint and it was dealt with in a professional and friendly manner that swiftly solved the problem. I highly recommend this hotel.
