Hotel London Santarém

Excellent hotel! Excellent location! The staff is incredibly friendly. The breakfast is excellent, very diverse. They have the restaurant as well with great food. Rooms are well equiped and very comfortable. It’s just missing a closed/private parking lot for guests. Strongly recommend it!

Good location right by the river. Clean , comfortable rooms accessed by lift. The Restaurant/ bar is at the top & you need to climb 2 short flights of steps to reach it. There are 2 reception areas , one on the edge of a small plaza which is across the road running parallel to the Amazon river ; another is higher up & level with the Restaurant. There is also a plaza here with views out over the Amazon & a few old cannons. Hence the name " Fortaleza " There is also a wooden tower & some truly revolting public toilets which , fortunately , you will not need to use. The hotel has a large , flat roof , paved & with a couple of tables & chairs which may or may not appear. Good views from here. Opposite the hotel is a pier supporting a large restaurant , gift emporium & here you can also arrange a boat trip up the Amazon & also get to see some varied birdlife & animals such as sloths & monkeys. The boatmen we used were friendly , helpful & knowledgeable. Food in the restaurant is good value & the buffet breakfast excellent & comprehensive. Staff were friendly & helpful. Nice ice cream parlour next door - you can actually get a couple of vegan options!

Its location is perfect if you want a place near bars and restaurants. Although rooms are slightly small, the bedding and decoration makes up for it. Excellent breakfast and stunning views from the roof. Highly recommended

Just stopped in for lunch. Very good menu with a lot of choices. Restaurant is air conditioned (more or less) with very nice furnishings. Service was friendly but a little slow so allow some Amazônia time. Price for two very ample spaghettis and three cokes was about $18. We walked through the hotel and it looks like a very nice place to stay. Rooms were spartan but very clean and well kept.

The hotel looks nice. It's quite new. Built up a hill so 1st floor and 4th floor both have checkin on street level. The hot water works, the restaurant is ok, breakfast was simple - not as fresh as other places in remote Brazil, the rooms are small but clean. My room AC went out around 1 am. So then was uncomfortable in the room. I was on the first floor - there was a cricket chirping all night that was annoying. The windows are split single pane so noise goes right thru them. I couldn't get outside to get the cricket. I didn't sleep well the 1 night I was there. If you stay here, go for one of the upper floors.

The view from my room was onto a claustrophobic service pit. When I arrived at 2 in the morning after 24 hours travelling there was no soap or shower gel in the room. The bedding and towels are bad quality. Only one power outlet in the room.|The restaurant has a lovely view of the rivers, unfortunately the service is slow and the food bad. The waiters don‘t speak English, but they are friendly.|All in all, for that price, not something I want to repeat.

I liked the rooms, specially the suite with river view. Breakfast was simple but good and they prepared delicious tapiocas. The staff at the night bar on the terrace was specially kind. Also the reception people were very helpful

Located in the perfect spot in Santarem. Access to the water front directly from the hotel. Staff and rooms was perfect. I highly recommend hotel London during your stay in Santarem. The view from the restaurant is amazing. The breakfast is probably the best meal the you can have, as there is plenty of fresh fruit and also tapioca.
