I often come to this hotel for short weekend escapes, but after my last stay, I will never return.||I stayed on Sunday, October 11th, for two nights, checking out on Monday. However, the hotel blocked a pre-authorization for three nights instead of two. I paid my full stay at checkout, but the blocked amount stayed on my card for over a week, and even today, it is still not released.||I called twice and even sent an email with a copy of my bank statement asking for the pre-booking to be unblocked — no one ever answered. When I called again after a week, the person at reception was completely unhelpful and told me to “check with my bank.”||As someone who works in a five-star resort in Gstaad, I know perfectly well that it’s the hotel’s responsibility to release pre-authorizations, not the bank’s. The staff’s attitude was arrogant and unfriendly, and the service was far below what you would expect from a hotel in Geneva.||It’s truly disappointing to see such a lack of professionalism. I will not come back again — a real shame for what used to be a nice place.
