Hôtel Longemalle Genève - Centre ville

Besides the great location “new furnishings” do not expect much. House keeping are not doing much, lots of things are kept as is when they shouldn’t ( tissues left at vanity and empty water bottles), breakfast is just meh, only thing to notice and appreciate how fast requests are fulfilled by reception.

I often come to this hotel for short weekend escapes, but after my last stay, I will never return.||I stayed on Sunday, October 11th, for two nights, checking out on Monday. However, the hotel blocked a pre-authorization for three nights instead of two. I paid my full stay at checkout, but the blocked amount stayed on my card for over a week, and even today, it is still not released.||I called twice and even sent an email with a copy of my bank statement asking for the pre-booking to be unblocked — no one ever answered. When I called again after a week, the person at reception was completely unhelpful and told me to “check with my bank.”||As someone who works in a five-star resort in Gstaad, I know perfectly well that it’s the hotel’s responsibility to release pre-authorizations, not the bank’s. The staff’s attitude was arrogant and unfriendly, and the service was far below what you would expect from a hotel in Geneva.||It’s truly disappointing to see such a lack of professionalism. I will not come back again — a real shame for what used to be a nice place.

Situated conveniently between the old city and the lake. The room was clean and all amenities were in good order. Special thanks to the wonderful helper at the desk when we arrived, Ismail. He was friendly, helped us begin getting situated, made us feel comfortable, and gave us all of the information we needed to get around the city. Would highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Both the room and the bathroom were spacious and very comfortable. And the location of the hotel is excellent, both for visiting the old center and for enjoying good restaurants.||If I had to indicate something to improve, I would only ask for a little more light in the bathroom, in the mirror area.||A little more variety at breakfast would also be appreciated.||

The hotel is nice and room is good and clean. Location is great. Breakfast is very limited and hope to see more options in future.

I had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Longemalle. Its location is center in the old district - walking distance from all the sites and about a 15 minute walk to the train station. I had booked a classic double room, which was a good size - would be tight for two people, but beautifully decorated and efficiently laid out. I arrived early in the morning and was pleasantly surprised they let me check in - they gave me a room facing the back which was super quiet and perfect. The restaurant has great food and service as well. Only minor draw back is no turn down service and the lobby is really just a living room. Otherwise, has a great stay overall and would highly recommend for a central Geneva stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Longemalle! It was ideally situated for the things we wanted to see and do while in Geneva. Although our room was a bit small, it had a nice view of the square below. The staff was friendly, professional, and helpful. Overall, the hotel was very clean, elegantly decorated, and quite comfortable,

0 star –Deeply Disappointed and Shocked by My Experience I stayed at Hotel Longemalle in Geneva expecting a safe and luxurious experience. Unfortunately, my Chanel purse was stolen directly from my hotel room while I was out. I immediately informed the reception and contacted the police, but despite repeated follow-ups, the perpetrator was never identified. I later learned there are no security cameras on the guest floors, which is alarming for a hotel of this standard. Several hotel employees had accessed my room, yet the investigation led to no answers or accountability. This experience left me heartbroken and completely disillusioned. I trusted this hotel because of its reputation, but I felt unsafe and unsupported during a very distressing situation. I share this so that future guests are aware: please take every precaution to protect your belongings, or consider choosing another hotel where guest safety and transparency are treated as a true priority.

Very basic hotel at 4 star hotel pricing. The room we had was a bit scary with a large crack down its main wall and the 1 window faced another building. The best part about this hotel was the breakfast offerings each day and its close proximity to pretty much everything.
