Hotel Los Guayacanes

Wonderful 4 night stay here. Has all the amenities. Great staff, very friendly.

Mixed feelings on this place. The room was very small and not at all what I would expect from a Radisson property. The grounds are beautiful but difficult to maneuver because it's all the steps. The price was a little high.

The grounds are huge with the hotel rooms set back far enough that you don’t hear any traffic from the main road, just the sound of running water from the fountain in the pond and the little waterfall that feeds it. Bed was super comfortable, AC was quiet and worked well. On weekdays, breakfast is a choice between two items, weekends it’s a nice buffet of traditional Panamanian food and fruit. Be warned, there are a lot of steps to get from the rooms to the restaurant as different parts of the resort are at different elevations; I think it adds to the charm, but might be difficult for someone with limited mobility. I didn’t use the pool but it looked clean and well kept.

Booked with Choice Hotel points 20000 points which is too many for this property. The front desk did not want to honor the points reservation but did eventually. Then they proceeded to charge me $27.50 US tax! I have never had this happen before at any hotel with any brand that I have used points on. Dark and depressing room with a view of the car lot. No proper lock on the door for security. Would not recommend in the least unless you are desperate to sleep at night. Definitely looks better on line than in person and way overpriced.

I do not recommend this hotel!! Parties here continue until 3am with the loudest music you have ever heard with no chance of sleep. My came here with my family and nobody could get sleep here. They don't care about their guests and still charge you $100 per night. If you want to relax and get some rest, then I definitely DO NOT recoomend this hotel. I will never return here and will never recommend it to anyone.

Excessive noise without being able to sleep due to a concert they had at night. All night with excessive noise until 3 in the morning. Breakfast included very bad. Air conditioning with bad smell and dirty. I do not recommend it.

The internet service was limited to certain areas. No confirmation for my reservation was posted. Quotes were incorrect and they requested additional charge at check-out. The pool was not available due to a wedding on the night of our arrival then the following day it was still unavailable due to removal of wedding set up. A glimpse of the pool proved to be dirty. Lake is filthy and mossy. Playground equipment was broken. Breakfast was good.

There was a little confusion at check-in when I arrived and because I was staying for almost a week I asked for a different room with a view of the pond. Not only did I feel heard but the hotel manager made everything right, right away! I had a fabulous stay, the housekeeping staff were very good and attentive and restaurant was excellent with a buffet everyday for breakfas and a great menu with many options. I have been in Panama for a month at various hotels but this one really stood out above the rest.
