Hotel Los Tambos Boutique - Arequipa

Great small hotel in Arequipa. Excellent location. Great service. Good facilities. The Front desk staff managed with English as my Spanish is still not very good. Good breakfast each morning - with nice presentation flourishes. I use this hotel every time I visit this part of the world.

The room was awesome with windows that opened to the street in two different ways. Great bed and spacious room with a good bathroom as well. The breakfast was amazing and the best breakfast on my trip! The staff was helpful and the location is good being only a two minute walk to the Plaza de Armas. There you will find plenty of restaurants and shopping is in the same area. An indoor mall and shops along the street.

This little hotel is conveniently located right at the Plaza de Armas and offers great service with an excellent breakfast. We asked to use a few utensils from the kitchen and they permitted us. The roof terraces have great views of El Misty y Chachani volcanoes.

The hotel is superbly placed, just a one minute walk from the main square and close to many restaurants. The staff are very polite, speaking good English. The breakfast was superb, they also supplied us with a take away breakfast on our final morning.||The room is quite small, due to the huge bed! Can't fault the hotel. I would certainly return to both the city and the hotel again.

Excellent service and professional staff. A little jewel around the corner from the Cathedral, everything is walkable in that area. The observatory gives beautiful views; and, the breakfast is a festival of flavors and color. I used the convenient laundry service, and it was topnotch. The room was compact yet comfortable, had toiletries, and daily cleaning services

Amazing bedding and towels. Helpful staff. Everything is very clean. Heat and hot water! Location is very convenient - walking distance to all major attraction points.|I had booked a top floor room with a balcony and a view similar to that of the hotel's breakfast terrace. You are first immediately facing a neighboring roof and some small construction, but using some imagination, you can see the rest of Arequipa from above, surrounded by mountains. If you look down, you can observe Arequipa's life on a busy street in front of the hotel.|While mine was probably the best room in the hotel, it got extremely noisy. The noise comes from the street, as well as extremely loud cleaning of breakfast cafeteria at 6:30 AM. I could count the exact number of chairs that were slammed on the floor (probably when bringing them down from tables).

What a fantastic location and we enjoyed such friendly service too. It was great to be able to fill our water bottles and get tea/coffee downstairs. We enjoyed being able to walk to the main square too. Thank you so much for great hospitality and delicious breakfast too.

I arrived in Arequipa on Monday afternoon (30 December 2024), and twisted my ankle 5 minutes into my Walking Tour. I did not get a chance to see any of Arequipa’s attractions or celebrate New Year’s Eve. I stayed indoors for 2 days to heal my swollen ankle. The team took care of me in the following ways: * Moved my luggage from my room on the 4th floor to Ground floor (because the lift was not working) * Gave me ice (for my swollen ankle) in the morning, afternoon and night every day from Monday until Thursday * Served breakfast in my room on Tuesday and Wednesday (it was so delicious!) * Helped me to call LATAM and Copa Airlines for me to change and confirm my flights (I was on hold for a long time on multiple attempts) * Advised me on which Tours to take (and arranged for Ruta del Sillar) and restaurants to go to based on my limited mobility My heartfelt appreciation to everyone who was on duty during my 5-days stay: Milagros, Fiorela, José, Lino, Enrique, Favian, Jhorly, Nadhia & Saly. They took good care of me and made me feel at home when I was traveling alone and so far away from home.
